Within two years of my purchasing an $8,500 Kluft mattress from Bloomingdales, the mattress sagged in the center more than 1.5". I stupidly removed the law tag, so they wouldn't replace it; yet they held out the possibility that a exception would be made in my favor because I could prove the sales date and model. After stringing me along for two months (no doubt hoping I would give up and disappear) they decided to reject my claim. Nevertheless, my mistake does not negate the fact Bloomingdales sold me defective merchandise that they were unwilling to stand by.
