The store had an EXIT sign.
Terrible customer service. They just want to sell you a mattress. It's all about the bottom dollar.

We walked into this store because it was our local mattress shop and we believe in spending money locally and supporting our community retailers. We needed a mattress desperately and we walked away feeling we overpaid. We got over that eventually but the real disappointment was after a few months my husband and I would sink into the middle of the bed. VERY uncomfortable bed. We looked into warranty and while we are not yet close to that 1.5" depression mark there is nothing that we can do and are now stuck with this bed. When we called the person who sold us the mattress basically said we warranty the mattress not comfort. That's it. Some customer service. Not willing to work with us at all. At least a decent and smart salesperson would have said, "hey, I can't help you with the comfort, but why not come in and look at another mattress and we can talk a deal". But nothing. So much for local customer service. I'll never buy a mattress from that place again. I would rather sleep on the floor or better yet sleep on my very UNcomfortable mattress.
