I love Ashley's furniture and have bought from them for years but their communication is a 1, all communication if you call goes through a call center and the employees are inept. I bought furniture that was damaged and needed to return it. I called 5 different numbers trying to get someone at the local store in Joplin, Missouri. Just know, if you have an issue you will not be able to reach anyone locally. They knew the piece of furniture was damaged and the whole back was busted but they sold it anyways. I see now why the salesman was so adamant that I sign the "as in" paper. I spoke to the assistant manager on 10/18 at 2:31 PM, he was a rude POS, had an attitude, stated "there's nothing we can do it, it's as it". Most people would do anything to keep a customer of 10 years. How about maybe discount it a couple 100 more dollars or just let me return it so I can purchase a brand new one?? The assistant manager (Jesse) did nothing, he flat didn't care. The assistant manager is a POS. I then asked if I could speak to the manager, he purposely transferred me back to their customer support number knowing, I would get lost in the phone system and wouldn't be able to speak to the actual manager. The piece of furniture was large piece and was backed against a wall so there was no way to inspect it prior. Just know when you go to Ashley Joplin, Missouri, you better watch these people, they will purposely screw you over. If you notice after you place a bad Google review they will respond with thank you for your purchase and see you again soon. No one has to buy from your furniture store, there are 100s of furniture stores across America. We're not your normal customers. I can assure you, I won't be back at your location. Also, they were all talking bad about Slumberlands, saying hateful things about them in front of their customers. Shows what kind of people work at Ashley in Joplin, Missouri.
