BEST if you
- Want a medium-soft mattress (i.e., just a little softer than average)
- Are mainly a side sleeper
- Are very easily disturbed by other movements in the bed (motion isolation is exceptional)
- Often sit or sleep along the edge of your bed (edge support is very good)
- Prefer a mattress with very little 'memory feel'
- Enjoy being hugged or cradled by your mattress
- Want it be very easy to move around and change positions during the night
NOT IDEAL if you
- Are a stomach sleeper, especially if you weigh more than 250 lb
- May use this mattress on an adjustable base (adjustable base compatibility isn't the best, but is still pretty good)
- Don't like any bounce in your mattress
- Are concerned about being able to lift or maneuver a rather heavy mattress

In our review of this mattress, we tested it on an adjustable base to look for any adverse effects as the head and foot are elevated, and to see how well it conforms to the contours of the base both with and without the weight of a sleeper. Overall, we found the Winkbed Softer to have pretty good adjustable base compatibility.

Our cover is made with TENCEL, a botanical-based fabric softer than silk, cooler than linen and more absorbent than cotton. It naturally wicks moisture it to the outside. TENCEL is extremely eco-friendly and sustainable, and is certified by the Forest Stewardship Council, meaning the plant pulp used in production comes from only responsibly managed forests.
