Our Take on Tuft & Needle (2017-2019)

Bottom Line - Here was our assessment of this product.
Bottom line best icon BEST if you
  • Want a medium-firm mattress (i.e., just a little firmer than average)
  • Are mainly a back sleeper (though this mattress can also be very good for stomach sleepers)
  • Prefer no 'memory feel' in your mattress
  • Are easily disturbed by other movements in the bed (motion isolation is excellent)
  • Want it be very easy to move around and change positions during the night
  • Enjoy sleeping 'on' your mattress while being just a little hugged or cradled
  • Prefer products that have been more extensively tested by GoodBed
Bottom line not ideal icon NOT IDEAL if you
  • Are a side sleeper (though this mattress can be good for side sleepers who prioritize firm support over extra pressure relief)
  • Like a fair bit of bounce in your mattress
  • Have a strong tendency to sleep hot (temperature regulation is OK, but not the best)
  • Regularly sit or sleep along the edge of your bed (edge support is good, but not the best)
  • Want a natural or organic mattress
