Very Poor Experience

After just one year, the mattress had exhibited signs of diminished support. I should have returned it then. After 3 years the mattress had no support and has been a nightmare for my wife and me. I feel the construction of this mattress is very poor, especially the springs.

Save your money

I bought a Luxury Firm after doing a ton of research. It's horrible. Purchased in March, now it is August...I can hardly sleep on it. One side sags at the hips the other supports the pelvic region but is so hard creates pain both in lower back and shoulders. I can feel the springs, top layer does nothing. The mattress protector offered by Winkbend isn't worth the money, it's sleeping on plastic...avoid it. If you suffer from lower back pain, hip issues or other arthritic conditions I would avoid this bed. Checked BBB today to find their rating is a C. Now off to search for my next mattress.

Softer than most latex mattresses, but false advertising

I purchased the EcoCloud Hybrid because they advertise it to be, “100% All-Natural, Absolutely no synthetic foams, fibers, fillers, glues or dyes.” “ No chemicals, sprays or synthetic materials are used ever”. This is important to me because I have chemical sensitivities & asthma. I have known reactions to adhesives, no matter how eco-friendly they claim to be. After unboxing it, I noticed my asthma started acting up fairly quickly & had difficulty breathing around it, which is odd for me around a natural mattress. So I checked the law tag. The law tag states it is made of 93% latex, 3% cotton, 3% rayon, & 1% resin pad. Both the rayon & resin adhesive pad are synthetic, which does not agree with the advertising. Wool is supposed to be the fire barrier, but apparently there is not enough wool in the mattress to even make it on the law tag. Rayon I can usually deal with, but the resin adhesive pad is different, because no matter how natural someone tries to claim that it is, nothing comes out of nature in that form for that application. It is always chemically processed in one way or another & will always off gas a certain amount of VOCs. I cannot tolerate adhesives. I get asthma attacks, headaches, & so on. But the mattress was here, so I decided to try airing it out to see if it would improve. It did not. Two weeks of leaving my window open everyday in the middle of winter & I was still getting asthma attacks around the mattress. I thought I would try contacting customer service to see if I could return it earlier than the 30 days because of the health issue. No, you cannot. I was prepared for that. But what I wasn’t prepared for was the CS rep telling me that my body simply needed to adjust to the mattress & to continue sleeping on it, even though I could not breathe on it. He was incredibly unhelpful & said I needed to give their mattress a fair try, which I was surprised about since the nature of the problem could open them up to liability. I don’t feel this company is a standup company or trustworthy.

Turns out all I needed was the right pillow

My back pain and stiffness was getting worse so I went mattress hunting. Read hundreds of reviews and tried dozens in stores. Against my philosophy of not buying something you can see and touch first, I went ahead and got the Luxury Firm Winkbed. The look and feel of it is very similar to a Stearns and Foster. Very luxurious and soft to the touch, but honestly once you put a protector and sheets on it, does that really matter? If you want to compare support, either Stearns and Foster medium or for a less expensive mattress, the Sealy Posturepedic Eurotop medium is an exact duplicate in support feel. I will say that when I laid on the Sealy Eurotop Firm, my back felt better supported. Not sure if the Winkbed Firm will match the feel of the Sealy, but I am thinking of switching to the Firm or returning it and saving money by buying the Sealy. After more than a week sleeping on the Winkbed, my pain was reduced by maybe 5%. I got an adjustable base and slept on my back in zero gravity. Maybe another 5% better in back pain. So now I am in over $2500 for just 10% less pain. After trying several pillows, I tried the Spine Align for $150. Immediate 80% less pain. So if you have back pain, sleep on your back and are thinking of a Winkbed, consider going with the Firm version. Also go check out the Sealy Pillowtop and DEFINITELY try the Spine Align pillow.

We wanted soft - but this is WAY too soft

We came from a memory foam soft mattress, so we were looking for something similar but we better warranties and something that will last more than 5 years. We found great reviews about this mattress. Shopping and shipping was excellent. But the mattress itself it is way too soft. We felt like we had a hole (similar to our OLD mattress - reason why we are shopping for a new mattress). I am 155 pounds, 5'6. Now consumer reports says it is VERY durable, so we were happy with that but too bad it is too soft. We will be returning this mattress.

Customer Support after purchase - POOR

We have been trying to exchange our foundation for several days, the phone system sends you back to an email for a response from customer support. Problem is they never reply!!!! I can't comment on the mattress yet as we have only had it for 5 days...….

Hubby likes it, me not so much

I am satisfied overall, but am disappointed that this mattress always retains my depression (despite a not so heavy weight of 114) since the beginning. Also, it's a bear to turn, but with hubby's help we manage it every few weeks. Hubby, who's a back sleeper, likes it better. Liked my old BeautyRest better (even after 20 years!) but we wanted to switch to King size when we got a new home with larger bedroom. Our daughter has the old BeautyRest in her guest bedroom now, and it's still great! To be fair, we prefer the Winkbed to the Sealy we bought for our vacation home, and like the fact that it does not require a box spring.

Great sleep

The Wink Bed mattress is extremely comfortable. It is soft and cushy on top which conforms to my body with great all over support. After trying almost every mattress in a variety of stores, the Wink Bed competes with the best at a much more reasonable price. It is very well made, arrived in perfect condition and had no problem with off gassing. Overall I am pleased with my purchase and recommend the Wink Bed. We have a queen size mattress and it is perfect for one person or two light weight sleepers. I do not find it to be the best choice for two heavier people because I tend to roll toward my husband who creates more of an indentation in the mattress. Perhaps a king would be better? However, my lighter weight son and his wife find the bed to be extremely comfortable and do not have this problem.
