Very attractive bed. Same materials used in the construction of the mattress as a much more expensive brand.
My fiancé and I purchased this mattress about a year ago. He could probably care less what he sleeps on, but I am like the princess and the pea! This mattress has been great and is holding up very well. I had a twin pillow top from a more expensive brand when I was in college, and it got the dreaded sink hole after a few months. This mattress has just gotten a little softer (which I actually like) but has not yet begun to sink in too much. I love it! Great value as well.
My husband and I have purchased 3 beds in the last 5 years, and finally we found this bed. We are both side sleepers, and this bed feels so good! We are finally sleeping thru the night!
this bed was a hit from the first night...cool, not hot, held me just the way i like to be held. I have since purchased this bed for my daughter for her first anniversary.
One last thing, this bed was under a $1000 dollars...best value I saw while shopping,
I am in need for a new mattress for my daughter. She has been sleeping on the same low priced starter bed now for 19 years and she is complaining that her back is hurting when she wakes up.
I sleep on the Dorchester Pillow Top With Latex and I love it!!! So I knew I wanted to stick with Symbol Mattress since I am pleased with my set.
I was searching on the web for new innovations in types of beds and came across this web site. After looking at the various comments and reviews, I think that I will choose the Dorchester with Blue Gel Memory Foam for her.
I gotta say that Symbol Mattress makes a great bed that doesn't hurt your wallet or your back.
The salesman told me that it has 4 inches of latex foam. I tried many different beds in their store, and one other. This was by far the most comfortable bed of all. I highly recommend it!
My wife and I got this mattress about 6 months ago, and we were on the edge about buying an all foam mattress. However, after we did some research and laid on ALOT of beds - we saw the advantages to foam over innersprings at our budget. I travel a lot for work, I can tell you I never sleep this well in a hotel mattress. We also looked at a Stearns and Foster (guess they are owned by Sealy?) - this mattress was less than half the price of that one. The salesman said it was due to Stearns and Fosters advertising - not really sure but we bought the Symbol one and couldn't be happier!
I have only had this bed for about 2 weeks so I hope this is as bad as it will get. It took a few days for my body to adjust to the firm memory foam but once it did I was able to get up out of bed the next morning with little to no back pain, unlike the previous bed. I have no complaints as far as comfort (so far). However there is one major problem....it makes you sweat so bad! I cant even cuddle with my hubby like we used to, it's that bad. We literally have had to get a towel in the middle of the night from so much sweat. Someone please help
We purchased a Symbol mattress in March 2013. After 3 month we experienced indents of 1 inch in the mattress were our bodies made contact. I contacted the manufacturer and was told the indents had to be 2 inches. I have never had problems with my back before, Since I have had this mattress I wake up several morning with a sore back. DO NOT PURCHASE A SYMBOL MATTRESS.

We are sorry you are not enjoying your Symbol Mattress Sleep set, unfortunately individual comfort levels vary greatly, which is why tangible measurements need to be determined in order to identify what is a comfort issue and what could be a manufacturing defect. If you check other manufacturer's you will find that an indentation of greater than 2" is well within established industry parameters to identify a defect.
This is the most awful mattress I have EVER slept on. After only six months it is starting to sag. The company will not offer a refund, or discount. They also will not cover it under any warranty because the sag has to be two inches deep. Of course, by the time the mattress has that large of a dip in it, the warranty will be expired. To make things even worse, the customer service at symbol mattress is horrific. I was told that I would receive a phone call the day I contacted the company, but I was not contacted until FIVE days later. This company sells poor quality products, and offers even worse customer service. I feel absolutely robbed. I wish I could give this zero stars.
This is the second Symbol mattress I have had. The second one being a replacement after the first one started dipping in the middle. The first one I had for 3 months. Keep in mind I worked out of town and was only home 3 nights a week, so the use of this bed was minimal. i called Gibson McDonald where the matress was purchased and they had it replaced, that took over a month. I received the second mattress and low and behold it is doing the same thing. I reluctantly called again to let them know that it had the hammock effect going on again. My old mattress I purchased over 10 years ago holds up better than this one, and wasn't even a name brand mattress. I would NEVER buy a Symbol again.
Would not recommend would not ever purchase this type of mattress again.
Not meant for 2 people. Very Hot. Left body divets where you sleep. When the partner leaves for a short time his spot feels like an oven.
Look at the fine print if you buy one of these lousy mattresses....no money back.....can't return to dealer...can't return to manufacturer.....leaves a deep "body impression" after a week of use, that the dealer says is normal for the "new" materials that are used to make these lousy mattresses......a COMPLETE waste of good money. they said they need a 2 inch depression to make a replacement deal.......1 and 3/4 is not enough......but you wouldn't want another one of these lousy mattresses anyway.....no way to get your money back...a rip off Dealer and and a ripoff Manufacturer......Lucky Mattress, Littleton NH
