Do not purchase this mattress. Warranty is horrible and the bed foam ripped between the coils

Garbage after a year an a half

We are sick of mattresses that develop sink holes. We were sold this mattress because of its double coils and told it was "probably going to be the last mattress we ever buy." The mattress started forming a sink hole in 3 months. We rotated the mattress immediately and again 3 months later another sink hole. We have even used this mattress side ways to get better support. My husband tries to sleep in the middle because its the only supported section and it pushes me to the edge. This bed has no side support at all leaving me feeling like I'm going to fall off. My side now has the biggest sink hole and now I constantly have shoulder and neck pain.

Worst Mattress Ever!

Even though we followed manufacturers recommendations and rotated the mattress each week for about 3 months, it still caused major joint pain and eventually hurt my back to the point I'm still recovering even though we swapped out the mattress already. Was looking forward to sleeping on this mattress as it was sold as a top rated mattress and would be like sleeping on a cloud. It wasn't at all. I do not recommend purchasing this mattress or any of the models sold by this company.

Too firm for me

I bought this in April of 2019. I've found that this mattress is too firm for me. I'm a side sleeper and I end up with both hip and shoulder pain by the morning. It is a very heavy bed and difficult to lift up to change the sheets.

For the price, I feel company should stand behind product. The only way warranty holds up is if sagging is within an unreasonable measurement.

Not worth the money

The indents of the mattress have a hard center so if your knee, elbow, or shoulder lands on then they are very uncomfortable. We have had the mattress for almost 4 years still rotate every month and is to firm nothing like the model we tried. We tried to return mattress but we're convinced to wear it in longer then it was to late. And the 19 inch thickness makes it very difficult to find sheets so we have to use elastic clamps to hold them. We also have this mattress on an adjustable base and it's so thick and stiff it doesn't contour with the base or your body like a wood board. Worst buy ever.

Hard, supposed to be pillow top but not even close

Followed manufacturers recommendations for break in. Rotated as stated, not easy with heavy king size. Kept six months to give fair review and it is terrible. Now in the market for a new replacement. Pretty disappointing for $2500.00

Mile high dreaminess in Colorado

Not sure what mattress the other reviewers are sleeping on, but my husband and I are in love with our C&W. We purchased it as a gift to ourselves when we purchased our first house. I've been 99% pain free (I have degenerative spine issues) and my husband no longer has hip discomfort when he wakes in the morning. We appreciate the fact that it was made in the US and uses quality materials. When we were traveling, my parents slept on it and loved it as much as their Stearns & Foster (they plan on purchasing a C&W for their guest room). It *does* take about 2-4 weeks to break in (as explained by the saleswoman where we purchased it) and you do need to rotate as directed for the first 1-3 months. It's a little bit of a pain, but totally worth it. I can only guess others haven't given it enough time to break it in. My only other minor issue with it is that it could sleep a little cooler. My sleep is too important not to get a great mattress and we're glad we splurged on this one.

Not firm or supportive

This mattress was a complete waste of money. It began sagging almost immediately regardless of how often we turned the mattress, it’s also one sided so flipping was not an option. Unfortunately we purchased it online, based on obviously fake reviews, and the window for a return was only 6 mo’s WITH a restocking fee. Both my wife and I are now having to visit the chiropractor bi-weekly because of this “bed”.

Lower back pain

Having spent a significant amount of money on this mattress, we are extremely disappointed with the level of comfort that it has provided. The mattress was fine for the first two months, but has deteriorated ever since, and adjustments such as a topper, pillow placement and sleeping positions have done nothing to remedy the issue. Further, the "pins" on the top of the bed poke up and are very uncomfortable. Mattress Firm are not willing at this point to help with a refund of this shoddy product and Spring Air, the owners of Chattam & Wells have not responded to any correspondence. We are now stuck with a $4,000 mattress that causes daily back pain. We can not recommend this mattress.
