I bought a Back Supporter by Spring Air over the phone 28 years ago because of Scoliosis and I needed a firm mattress. I had it for all 28 years and never any issues at all with myself or the mattress. Currently I am shopping for a new Mattress and my store doesn't carry Spring Air so I opted for a Serta iComfort that had to be exchanged 5 times until I said forget it! The first one had what felt like plastic bags sewn under the cover, another had a very crooked seam and so on. After 6 Serta's I went to 2 different Sealy Premium innerspring mattresses. After 18 months the first one had to go back and now this new one which is the Performance collection Hanover Street Plush is awful and made cheaply compared to the Premium Response line. I am going back to what has proven to be amazing and buying another Spring Air Back Supporter. I think 7 mattresses 6 of which were defective is enough. This new Spring Air Back Supporter will outlast me and that's just fine!

We bought this new mattress at Mattress Firm and they said it was the last model they had at a reduced price. In the showroom, it felt great and laid nicely. Sold as is, no warranty.
But every morning with aches and pains for a week was too much.
We thought we had to get used to it but could not.
This mattress is not recommended by us.

Also a warranty wouldn’t help in this situation, it sounds more like a comfort exchange than a defective mattress.
I don’t dislike the mattress, we just cannot tolerate the smell. I’ve never had a mattress that smells this terrible and I do not know how to get rid of the chemical (mildew) odor.

This is a beautiful and quality mattress but even with 3 months breaking in period, it is way too firm. I was told to walk on it daily to soften it up but it remains extremely firm. If i were to number it, I would say 7.5/10. I want support but not so firm. I am very frustrated to have to return it.

I now look forward to sleeping. I dreaded it previously.
This was the Mattress Firm model, with solid (non-depressing) edges when you sit on the side of the bed. I now sleep like a rock and truly love the bed. I highly reccomend this mattress.
The mattress seemed very comfortable in the store. When we got it home it was a different feel altogether. The store display had a box spring and we bought the adjustable frame. I don’t know if that had anything to do with it or not but I wake up with bad lower back pain everyday. I am so disappointed especially since we paid 3 times what we had paid for our previous mattress that was so much better! Big mistake. Try Stearns & Foster, I’m so sorry I got rid of my old bed.

No, completely different beds. This C&W line has a 99 rating, and although we strive for 100 there are times where a bed is purchased and the feel is not correct for that particular customer
Best mattress I ever slept on, beats 5 star hotels...
Purchased our Chattam and Wells Daniella from MattressFirm. It took many attempts to receive an undamaged mattress. After the 3rd failed attempt by MattressFirm to deliver an undamaged mattress, Chattam and Wells local warehouse step in and delivered a perfect and undamaged mattress. Next time, I will go directly to Chattam and Wells.
We love the mattress and it's the best we have ever slept on. We have travel around the world and stay at 5 star resorts and this mattress is still is the best out of everything we have the pleasure of using.
