We have had this mattress for 2 weeks, after sleeping on it first night I woke up with sore throat and the smell was horrible. I aired it out for a day. Put mattress pad on and sheets, smell still horrible. I'm getting sicker. Washed everything on mattress again and tried ia again. I now have an infection which I think is from the fumes. I am on a z-pack and the mattress is being exchanged. My eyes flared up as well which they always do when I have a certain type of foam under them. It's a shame they can't make a mattress that is comfy and doesn't smell. Don't buy this toxic mattress if you are at all sensitive to smells. Now my husband didn't even notice the smell.
I noticed a horrible smell on the mattress as soon as we slept on it. I washed the mattress pad and sheets so I know it was coming from the mattress. Sore throat started for two nights and I came down with the worst sinus infection I could ever have. Bottom line is the mattress smells horrible like toxic chemicals would smell and it is going back. Why can't they make mattresses like they used to?
This mattress was great for the first year and a half. Then it develop sunken ditches where we slept. My hips hurt if I sleep more than 7 hours and my partner upper back pain is worse. The ditches have not yet met the requirements under warranty yet. Not satisfied.
Horrible mattress! Got ripped off by used cars salesman mattress guy!! I’m not rich so I am stuck with this piece of crap til I can afford a new mattress but very detrimental to my health!
We have had the Vera Wang Serta for about 9 years and I still say to my husband about once a week “I love our cozy bed!” I would definitely buy this mattress again. We have the plush top so the mattress has a firm support with a pillowy soft top that hugs you. Perfect!
Waste of money. We feel like we are sleeping in craters, it is so sunken where we're lay. It's lost all support and highly uncomfortable... I feel like I need to see my chiro waaay more because of this mattress!! Very upset with it!

You get what you pay for, I have slept on everything from Tempur-pedic to high end latex mattresses. This coil / memory foam combination with the new phase change material has been perfect. Even my wife stopped complaining and that is a godsend. I would recommend this mattress to anyone looking to actually get a restful sleep with out the pain associated with pressure points. About time Serta got it right.

First 2 years = good. Last 3 years has been horrible.
We bought this to replace an 8 year old queen traditional mattress. It was good for the first 2-3 years. Now after less than 5 years the foam has broken down to the point that there is a hump in the center of our mattress. The areas that we sleep on are so broken down you can't roll over to change sleeping positions. You have to get up on your hands and knees or just get out bed completely. We had a rep come out and take some measurements. Not bad enough yet serta says. We will never buy another serta and can not recommend their products. Big waste of money.

The edges sink and when rolling over the center does nor recover, it is liking falling off a hill. It is high in the middle and sunk on the edges. Today I am taking it back to BigLots for an exchange.
