Worst buy I've ever made

Over the past week I’ve slept less than i ever have. Mid back pain is unbearable. Tried every setting from 30-100. Mattress also sleeps hotter than even tempurpedic which i did not think was possible. I’ve never had mid back pain issues before so this has surprised me. I’ve suffered from low back pain for a while but that has not been an issue on the mattress. The only saving grace is that i found I sleep pretty well on the couch where I have had to move to every night.

Love it

Love this mattress. Had it for 14 years plus. Looks and feels brand new. Only issue was the foam piece separating the 2 chambers isn't to well made. Caused us to roll into each other. Bought a mattress pillowtop and problem solved. And it doesnt affect to use of the air mattress at all.

Dream Bed!

My wife and I have slept on a traditional Queen bed for 28 years before moving to the iLE Sleep Number mattress. I am a little on the heavier side, and am a very hot sleeper. I also have historically tossed and turned all night long, never really getting a decent night's sleep. After getting the iLE, the first several weeks were dream-like.. I was sleeping better (my wife historically sleeps great on any of the mattresses we've owned) and it did not hold the heat in like any of my past mattresses, so I don't wake up all sweaty. After 2+ years, I am a solid believer in this mattress.. I don't wake up with back pain, and due to the tech features, I know what my sleeping patterns are, and I am a very happy customer!

Lots of hype and less quality of life

Purchase our second select comfort in 2015 First one in 1997. We discarded the first one because the topper needed to be cleaned and it was not able to be. The company wanted to sell new ones. So after deciding to get the one with separate controls the nightmare began. First The delivery date was jammed down my throat but the company that delivers for them. Second the gang bangers that deliver the bed scratched my brand new hardwood floor. Third the gang left trash in the trees from the packaging and ran over my yard lights. Select Comfort as a company is worthless they refused to make any concessions for the floor. Now the best part, the Bed. The package we bought has two individual mattresses in it. So even with rubber feet on the frame if one partner attempts to move to the other partners side they fall in between the two beds. We call this the Grand Canyon. I have strapped the two units together with industrial wire ties and there is still a huge gap between the two mattresses making it impossible to be close to your partner without feeling like your in a single bed as well as getting stuck in the canyon. Select comfort is worthless, did I say that already oh well I’ll say it again. I contacted them about this defect and was sent a strap of some kind that did nothing at all. Tying the frame legs together worked better but the canyon persists. I guess if you’re the type that likes sleeping alone with your partner then maybe this is the bed for you. By alone I mean separate beds, not me. In fact this lousy designed overpriced bed has contributed to our quality of life by it feeling like we are miles away, I visit my wife on occasion but being trapped in the canyon is very uncomfortable.

Poor mattress longevity

We have a split king on an adjustable base. We think it was a good purchase, but not a great purchase. The mattresses are about 13 years old (Jul 2020). I had to have the material on the bottom of the mattress replaced as it wasn't much more than a heavy paper and it failed within about 5-7 years. It then wouldn't hold the mattress together. I took them to a local upholstery shop and had them fixed. The side foam isn't standing up. Also, the pump controller display started to fail within 6 years. Some of the LED elements failed to light. It eventually got to where most had failed and you couldn't determine the pressure. We replaced the pump/controllers with an off brand, that works better than the original. We're now looking for complete mattress replacement units.

I am in the trying out period.

The first night was great. By the second day I have mixed feelings hanging out on the bed, laying down watching TV. Maybe is too soon to write a review. Today looking for another bed in case this one doesn’t work out. 100 day try out. It’s vey bouncy. Waiting for pillows. My neck hurts and has nothing to do with the bed. I might have made the mistake to get a full size with double chambers. A salesperson recommended doing this even for myself. But it feels like it might sink in the middle separating the chambers. To set it to the right air pressure, I have to do one side at a time, which is time consuming and odd, even with the app. That could use some improvement by the company. Another salesperson said the opposite, to get a one chamber if it is to be use for one person only. Would update if I decide to keep it or my opinion changes. Still getting use to it. Salesperson said it will get better. It felt softer at the store. This mattress will save electricity during the summer. It doesn’t get hot at all, unlike temperpedic, using the same cooling mattress cover. The construction looks unprofessional, but is an air mattress after all. When setting the bed on the base, it looked like it was going to come apart. There is not that much holding the parts together, very odd, specially for a $5,000 mattress (I got it for 50% off).

It was great for about 5 mins...

Constantly switching positions, never could find "my number" that lets you sleep like the dead. Sold it for half of what we paid, bought a Casper Hybrid.... No Regrets!

Worst bed ever

Split top never stays together, I am always pulling my arm out of it. The mattress top is completely worn out and lumpy. The customer service is rude and unhelpful. Do not buy!

Bad bed. Period.

My king sized Sleep Number 360 i8 sunk in the middle within a year of purchase. I contacted Sleep Number. First they sent me a 1 inch thick plain piece of foam the size of the whole mattress. I followed the instructions on how to use it, Useless. Then they shipped the whole big foam thing. Again we followed the instructions (quite a pain) and it was better for about 3 months. Then it sunk in the middle again! We are less than 2 years into this bed purchase; and for $3,000+ and two replacement parts, I have a useless bed. Sleep Number spends all their money on marketing and pretty stores and then designs and builds and sells shoddy products. The bed was TERRIBLE! I have asked them to resolve it by refunding me. Of course, I get the party line that it's past the 100-day mark for replacement. I guess this is a $3,00 hard learned lesson. Don't make the same mistake!!
