Save Your Money!!

I bought a Twin Long i8 I believe while my husband was still alive to make room for his hospital bed. I slept OK on it but don't recall the major back pain I am in now. After he passed, I still fell inside the 1 year exchange policy and upgraded to a Queen i10. So technically I have not even had my Queen upgrade mattress for 6 months! It has lost air so I called and the non-responsive customer service lady who told me that plugs should be in the mattress. First off I am a widow have no help and my back is in major pain from this bed. I had to lift and pull the mattress myself to find NO plugs. She said they would mail me some but if a technician comes out it will cost me $200. I was furious. After spending $3000 for a mattress I was not about to spend another penny when this bed did not hold up to Sleep Number so called standards. Two weeks later I call again and asked where are my plugs? She never sent them. I demanded to speak to a manager and he finally did what she should have from the beginning. I have my plugs but you can't adjust the air chamber with it since you disconnect the hose. THIS BED is RIDICULOUS. SAVE your money. I demanded that they refund me and take this bed away but they did nothing. Since my first purchase of the Twin was over a year ago I can't exchange, EVEN though the QUEEN UPGRADE I have now I ONLY had for 6 months!! I wake up every day in more back pain all over from neck to lower back. I laid on their body pillow with my whole side and back which gave me some relief. But even their "NO SHIFT" body pillow is a joke. It DOES shift. I bought another one to give the pillow another try but after this, I am done. SAVE YOUR MONEY do NOT buy any of these beds!!!!!!!

This is the worst bed I've ever owned! From the beginning, the mattress couldn't hold air on one side of the bed, always had to refill it daily. Customer service was no help with the problem, they said to place a cap on that side of the bed so that it would stop leaking. I had to stop sleeping on the bed over a year ago as I realized I was constantly sick with severe respiratory infections and asthma attacks. The cause for my illness is mold that has grown in the clear plastic tubing that connects to the air pump. No one sleeps on this toxic bed anymore, I need to get it out of my house! This bed was a waste of money and detrimental to my health.

Not exactly what they claim it to be.

Do you like experimenting with your sleep? Do you like paying large sums of money for add ons that other products can provide for free? Do you like that half inflated air mattress, going to fall out of the bed, watch your partner bounce when you roll over feeling? This is totally the bed for you! Pros: 1. It is very easy to setup, and almost weights nothing. 2. Shipping and home delivery was super easy. 3. They give you 100 days to try out the bed. 4. Others say that if you hit your perfect number its like heaven, and you will never change it. Cons: 1. You become an experiment, if you are one of the people who do not hit their perfect number night one, you only have 99 more to try (they say to try a new number for 3-4 days you can do the math on how many sleepless, tossing filled nights that is). 2. The range of support is not as good as you would think, 100-70 is rock hard, 70-45 you can feel the ridges of the air mattress, 35-10 like sleeping on a half inflated air mattress. 3. Movement. Every tiny movement feels like a 80 dollar air mattress from walmart. (the two chambers side side by side) and forget getting anywhere near the side of the bed. 4. IQ? Seriously this is a near 1000 dollar upgrade that enabled you to control your bed with your phone and see how well you slept last night. Thats it. Pop open your app store and search for apps that do this for you... guess what... most are free. 5. Support was ok once you got into the correct queue, I called three times and waited for over 4 hours to talk to a human. High call volume? Lots of support questions? Not a good sign to me. They did finally get someone to help and they sent some more foam to pack in there. FYI they give you a hundred days to try out the bed, what they don't tell you is all the bedding you got with it, only 30 days, that home delivery, non refundable, and you are stuck with the bill to send it back. If you got an adjustable base, nope sorry. At least its air, foam, and fancy rainbow colored smoke.

LOVE IT!

Took me a few months to REALLY dial in my number, but once I got it, best night's sleep I've ever had. Sleeps as good today as the day we bought it 10 yrs ago.

Squeaky!!

We purchased a sleep number bed over 9 years ago and loved it! The , a year or so ago, we found mold inside. Apparently, there was a recall. We were never informed. The company sent out a brand new bed (after our newborn co-slept with us for nearly 3 years, having developed beginning asthma...). Well, the new bed squeaks with every movement! It is the plastic-y topper fabric that rubs on itself. We sleep horribly! Customer service has been useless. We are going to buy a new bed at this point...grrr...

stopped my pain

I LOVE this bed. Got it for guest room & started sleeping on it instead of my Craftmatic bed. Wish I could find a queen for my own room. Practically eliminated my normal morning "pain over." My lower back is fused & this is the first time I have been pain free in the morning since my original injuries....& I got this mattress at a local Hospice Thrift Store for less than $150.00!!

Feels like the First time all over again! [ Best rest ever!]

This bed was recommended by my surgeon after several surgeries. It was purchased as a gift by my children to help relive back and leg/ joint pain. I was doubtful but was blown away at how much better I felt from the very first day. I have had it several years and it is like the first day! I'm still in Love with it!

Uggggh

Worst investment ever. We bought the bed, had it shipped to us, set it up and tried it and hated it. First of all my side air chamber leaked profusely. I would set it at a certain setting at night and wake up to an empty chamber. So I call and they send out another chamber. It works but now the air pump won't fill up my husband and my side correctly. The numbers never matched the amount of air in the bed and a year later we have tried every number and found no comfort. We both wake up in constant pain. It's depressing spending so much money on complete crap. And when you call customer service, they tell you to give it time to "break in". Well conveniently that time makes it go over the crappy 90 day try out period. Wouldn't recommend to my worst enemy.

UNDERWHELMED

Got the bed delivered. Programmed our sleep number...gave it a try (three days as instructed by our salesperson). When I got in bed the first time, I felt that it was completely different than the bed we had tested in store (so did my husband). Much more uncomfortable. Woke the first night with a backache...next knee pain...now feel like I have been in an auto accident or have been beaten up. VERY UNDERWHELMED. VERY DISAPPOINTED. For the money spent, I would expect much more. Worse yet, I am reading even with the "in home trial" I will have to pay for them to pick it up. I paid over 150 to have them deliver the bed which took them all of 15 minutes to install. :(

Long Term User

My wife and I have had this Cal-King Select Comfort bed for about 17 years. It has a pillow top. It came with a 20 year warranty. I'm 6'1" and come in at about 250 lbs. My wife is 5'4" and weighs about 125. Both of us are over 60 years old. My wife has had 3 back surgeries to fuse vertebrae together. This bed has been good to us all things considered. It was an easy set up. It took a bit to get the settings right, but now, no problem. We've only had small issues with the air staying in, and mostly it only loses a bit when we find it necessary to move the bed. The pump has been reliable the entire time we've owned it. This is a somewhat hot bed, especially when you first use it. Over the 17 years we've had it, that hasn't improved a whole lot. We do have a mattress warming pad (rather than an electric blanket) since we've moved to Missouri and that may inhibit the air movement a bit, but only slightly I think. At about the 8 year mark the bed started showing a bit of a ridge in the middle from the foot to the head. I suspect that the foam may be breaking down a bit, however, it still remains comfortable after all these years. Each of my three adult children and their spouses have used the bed during times we've been away and all of them have tried to lay claim to it should we get another bed. We've loved this bed for a long time now, and we're starting to think about another bed that will probably see us into the hereafter. The only problem I have now with this bed is what it would cost us to replace it with a bed of the same quality from the same manufacturer. I've seen claims from all different manufacturers about high recommendations and so forth for this type bed, or that type. I can only tell you to do an extensive bit of homework, read reviews, know your warranty info and return info before making a choice. It's a fairly important thing because of the amount of time you'll spend in the bed, and it's supposed to provide a refreshing sleep as well as help aches and pains.
