Incredible Experience with the Next Bedding Owl

After a year of ownership, I can say that the Nest Bedding's Owl is the best mattress I have ever owned. I wish I had gotten it sooner! I came from an old traditional innerspring mattress that I eventually put a latex topper on, so I had an inkling that I would like this innerspring + latex hybrid; but the Owl blue my old bed out of the water. It's been very comfortable. I am pleasantly surprised how much better I sleep on my Owl bed. I love that you can flip or rotate (or even one day replace) the comfort layer, that makes me think that this bed will last me possibly the rest of my life +- the cost of a handful of latex toppers, and a protective cover! After my experience, I now have my whole family on Nest mattresses. Tip: Give the latex at least 30 days to break in, as my bed started out barely too-firm but softened within the first month or so.

sags from the outset

This mattress arrived saggy in the middle and firmer (in a good way) on the sides. I initially avoided the middle third of the mattress, and tried keeping to the sides until I realized how dumb this was. And then the one side I'd been predominately sleeping on started to soften considerably after just a few months. I know Nest is known for this mattress, but they changed the types of coils they use a couple of years back, and this has, in my humble opinion, done something really bad to the mattress.

You can likely exchange for a firmer feel or a different mattress (if still in your sleep trial), but we would also want to make sure you are using a properly supportive foundation, as that can highly affect how the mattress feels. If you are feeling that this "sag" is a defect, we would also highly encourage you to open a warranty claim with our Customer Service team so that we can review that with you! And finally, while we did change the coils somewhat recently, they were changed to the coil system that we've been using in the Owl Hybrid for several years, which remains a high-quality and durable support system. Lasted 3 years, At 4 years unusable and no warranty help

My expectations were Nest would honor the warranty as I specifically asked them all the details, as hesitant to buy online. I was assured it would last for 10 years/ Lifetime comfort warranty. Over time the warranty changed online and what was lifetime became less, then it was warranted as 30% off a new one, but there has been no resolution to my mattress which has deteriorated greatly. It was very good for 3 years and by the 4th year it was too soft, mushy in spots wear you lay, edges sink, cannot get comfortable, and both myself and partner had pain in places we never did before. Basically a 3 year life span. The warranty support said all of my pictures are 'no issue seen' and I don't meet changing criteria for sag/depression. The issue is you cannot see from a picture what happens when you are on it. The are adamantly opposed to helping me - and have deleted all my reviews which tell the truth. They didn't stand by my product. Avoid.

We don't have a criteria for an exact weight, because not all customers will have the same items available for a weight test. We also ask for the weight to be placed in several areas so that we can see how different areas of the mattress are responding to that weight. Our team is happy to continue working with you, but the mattress will need to meet our warranty parameters, as agreed at time of purchase

Hot and sweaty

Pros of this mattress are that it has a lot of natural features, with the King bed you can have two different comfort levels based on each partner's preference, the company will send you a different topper i.e. soft, medium, or hard free within the trial and it's pretty comfortable and was a good price compared to other competitors. biggest con and the reason we've had to return this mattress was that it sleeps way too hot for us. We have tried everything to try to make it work but it is just too hot. We are thinking in may have to do with the foam in the topper. Going to try another bed that has no foam or memory foam. If you've never had any issue sleeping hot you'll probably be fine.

Sleeps HOT!

After reading all the reviews, I was really hoping to love this mattress. I chose this mattress on a recommendation from Sleepopolous after reading reviews on 100’s of mattresses. It definitely sleeps warm and I was hoping to wake up cooler and with less pain than previous trial mattresses. After only a few years, I’m already rolling into the middle of the bed and I have definitely swapped sides every 2 months. I definitely try to sleep in the middle of the bed so it’s even all over, but you can see a lump. I would not purchase this bed again and if you sleep warm or have body aches try a different mattress !!!

Luxury firm - still too soft

So, I've had it since oct 2018. It's at my second house (mountains). Does NOT get that much use. I'm pretty big. 6'1" and 250. My GF is much smaller - 5'4" and 115. She' fine with it. It's too soft and when I re-adjust, there is a bounce/wave. I sink in pretty well. I've messed with frame/supports/ etc. to get more support. It's the mattress. THE GOOD - is that my master is up a narrow set of stairs - and packaged - fit up the stairs. BAD is that given weight of item and size is that it's now semi-permanent. ALSO - it taught just how damn good my tempur-pedic at home really is. THAT is a great mattress. I think I'm being VERY generous w/ 3-stars!

Happy Medium

My husband and I are both side sleepers with a big height and weight difference. I prefer a more plush feel while my husband likes a firmer mattress. This mattress makes us both happy. Just the right amount of softness and a bit of a sinking in feeling for me and enough firm support for my husband. We slept on memory foam mattresses for 20 years and while my husband loved the feel I could no longer tolerate the heat generation. The Nest hybrid is definitely cooler. The buying process was easy and set up simple. I highly recommend this mattress.

Sleeping on a cloud made of springy marshmallows

Got the latex hybrid and so glad I did. It’s like sleeping on a springy cloud filled with marshmallow. I got the plush since I am only 104 pounds...I think it is the right choice. Customer service was so much better than any experience with a retailer. They spent a long time helping me decide which mattress was best for my needs. I’m pretty sold on latex now.

Medium is way too soft

It's early days still with this mattress. I haven't even been sleeping on it for a full week yet. But so far, I can tell you that the Medium is just way too soft & squishy for me. I'm a male, 5'10", about 245lbs. I sink in way too much. Though I dread the idea of getting another one of these in here (this one was HEAVY and unwieldy), I suspect I'll have to change it out for the Luxury Firm version. Do I have to wait 30 days first?

Which is why we put a zipper at the top so we can quickly customize the feel to make you happy. Call the store or customer service and tell them Joe said to send you a firm insert of foam and let’s get you comfortable
