I purchased this bed for my 87 year old Dad….he needed a FIRM Mattress with Firm edge support. This appeared to be the firmest mattress with firm edge support that I could fine after testing out several mattresses…..He hated it and could not sleep in it and complained constantly, but I thought it was just him being picky and in pain that he would still have, even with a good mattress….He refused to sleep in it, except for short periods of time and he would get up and sleep in his chair. It was very frustrating for me being his caregiver. I had even called the store about 4-5 months ago and asked if there was anything that could be done, and they said…Only if it was defective….I made a mistake by saying that it wasn’t defective, before I laid on it and tested it out myself. My Dad passed away in December 14, 2022, and I have now moved into his house full time and was going to sleep on his mattress…..I feel so bad, and I am so sorry that I doubted his word. This is the worst mattress that I have ever tried to lay on…..You can lay in it….the material sags, and binds up all around your body….I have never seen anything like this….I have emailed the sales rep. and he has yet to get back ahold of me….But I will be persistent….Something needs to be done to resolve this…I bought this myself and the purchase order is in my name…..I advise everyone to NOT purchase a Kingsdown Sleeping Beauty Mattress.

Bought it 18 months ago. Started to sag and dip after 30 days. Initial complaint to the selling store met with no response. Toughed it out until one month ago and contacted store again. Sent their own "inspector" . He tried hard to not get a measurement of 1.5 inch of sag. Even used a wooden stick to measure that gave him at least a quarter inch advantage. Finally agreed it was defective and said store would be in touch. Still waiting. Do NOT buy Kingswood! Another company run by "private equity firm". The mattress business is corrupt. Consumers don't stand a chance.
Initially the mattress was great and comfortable. We regularly rotated the mattress to keep it from developing body impressions. Well it didn't work. Within 3 years we were already looking to replace it, but after spending the amount of money we spent, we thought we should keep trying to make it work. 7 years old and the sides are literally starting to blow out. My wife and I regularly wake up in pain. We never tried the warranty because it's a prorated deal. So after so long it doesn't make much sense to try and recoup something only to buy another one from the same company that I didn't really care for. For the money we are very disappointed in the durability of this mattress. We bought it from Mattress warehouse and honestly I don't want to deal with them again either. I felt like we got hosed buy a used car salesman. In summary I wouldn't buy this mattress again, at least not at the price point. At half of what we paid sure.
This company and the store we purchased from have done nothing but ignore and/or give us grief. We have serious medical bills from sleeping on a mattress that is 5 months old and has no support. It is like sleeping side by side in canoes. It's a workout even just to roll to your other side. Spent a lot of money for a mattress with claims to support people with orthopedic problems. What a joke. Just like their warranty.
Do NOT buy this mattress.
Had a Sears-o-pedic, it was great! Bought this Kingsdown just before Sears closed down. It is a King size mattress and sits on a split Kingsdown box.
Terrible sleep-hip and shoulder always sore.
My inlaws had this mattress in their guest room and we had thought it was comfortable. When it was time to get a new mattress they surprised us with the Kingsdown Emerald Crown Duke in a king size. We have been sleeping in it for about two months and it has been the worst sleeping experience I have had in year's. We just ordered a new mattress. It can't come soon enough.

I spent a lot of money on this mattress thinking that I was getting the best. It sucks and I am finally breaking down and getting a new one. I just can stand waking up with such back aches. I can see from the other reviews that this is a common theme with this mattress. There should be a class action against the company. Such poor quality.
