What a load of rubbish

Bought this mattress after many years of back pain following sciatica op. What wonderful bids there are on the Dormeo Website, showing the luxurious concept of the different stiffness of the foam springs. So thought about this mattress and saved up over a couple of years for it ( I paid £1500) in the sales for it. Will what a load of crap. Slept better on our crappie old sprung dates where the springs clunked and poked you in the back. This mattress lulls you into a fslse sense of security. Feels really good when you plop ya bum on the edge. But having spent just over a year sleeping on it, I have to say I am so disappointed I wasted my money on it. With no word of a lie I have had no more than 7 nights good sleep on it. I now prefer to sleep on the sofa. So even if you read this and aren't sure how to take a lot of the 1star ratings! For a person to say they did their research on a product (a mattress) to prefer the night sleep on the sofa, has to tell you not to bother with this mattress just in case you too find yourself in same position as I and my wife do. And for the ladies of a certain age! this mattress and its super open sides which allow the lovely fresh air to flow through and help those hot flushes due to the change. Nope really not the case at all. My wife only 45 and starting all that dreadful stuff gets absolutely no benefit from that design at all. Believe me she strips off most nights, giving me the optomisum that my luck might be in. But no its is just so that she can slip on another top, after slinging her sweaty one in the wash basket. And yes that leaves her unhappy and me rolling onto my side to finish off the rest of a really uncomfortable nights sleep. Oh and the ribbed cover on it is bloody uncomfortable as well 👎😣.

dont buy this bed the coils fail after a short time

bought this mattress at sleep outfitters had a hard time finding a bed comfortable for my back. so on my last exchange I asked what would be the best for my back troubles they recommended that the dormeo or the tempur-pedic would be the best to buy. I had slept on a tempur-pedic before and found it hard to turn over. I'm a side sleeper that turns over frequently, so I didn't think that would work for me. The sales person went on about how popular this brand was in Europe etc. Will Sleep Outfitter does not even carry this brand anymore and will not help with a refund or repair for this mattress. I'm extremely disappointed with both companies. warranties don't mean anything for the consumer, so don't let that be a reason to purchase a mattress. this mattress has a 25 year warranty yet I can no longer sleep on my 1,900.00 mattress.

Dormeo Dreamybed - Completely Failed in 1 Year

The bed is literally falling apart. The foam "springs" have completely failed in an area over 1 foot by 1 foot and also completely failed at the edge. With even 2 pounds of force, the bed sinks in 3-5 inches. Support is a nightmare. First they just ignore you and don't respond. When I finally sent nasty emails they responded that they would replace the defective mattress but they would charge me $99 shipping for them to ship me a replacement even though that is NOT what their own warranty says.

An expensive mattress that has proven to be disappointing

We purchased this mattress about two years ago. It was more expensive than other options but we heard about the "new technology" and the salesperson recommended it. it seemed to be comfortable at forst but after a few months, it no longer seemed to support either of us and we started waking up "achey". Not sure why but I don't think tyhat the foam coild stand up well over time. We would definately not recommend this bed - it is expensive and while it may feel good initially, it will very likely become softer and less supportive over time.

Severely disappointed customer

My Husband thought he was doing us both a favor by buying a cushioned firm mattress Dormeo 230GX king and because of the cost $4008.00 it would be good quality. Nothing has been good about this mattress. We have only had it for 7 months and are both miserable and wake up with painful body aches. There is no memory left on his side and when I lay in it my body dips into the mattress where I can't even move sideways or get out of it. When I explained this to their customer service they asked for pictures. I let her know that it is not visible and her reply was "Sorry but we can't help you at this time" So I wonder how long we have to continue to be miserable before I get any help?

Soft and hot

It took sometime getting use to the density, like you were sleeping in the mattress which is probably why it felt hot.

Mattress has cracked

Under the quilted top, the foam has split from head to toe (4 foot long separation) about 20 inches from one edge. The bed has not been abused, and is 2 years old. We are waiting to hear from the place of purchase.

Had to return it and change to coil spring mattress

The Dormeo was recommended by the salesman to support my husband's weight and not sag when sit on edge of bed (it did live up to this) but also was supposed to be excellent for providing comfortable sleep for me with my arthritis in knees, hip, back and neck. It felt good to start with but things changed over time. My husband found he eventually couldnt gey comfortable and would move to the couch halfway through the night. While I did not have back pain sleeping on it, over the 60 day trial period my hips got more and more sore. Eventually it became clear it was the mattress and somehow when sleeping on my side the memory foam didn't spread my weight out and my hips were taking the greatest weight of my body. The memory foam adapted to me in a poor way. I rotated the bed toward the end just to try and start a new and get a bit of relief, with some success. Also the mattress doesn't feel "comfy" and it was hard for my husband to turn over as it has no spring to it. Feels too much like sleeping on a very thick camping foamie.

Poor execution of concept

We had to return our first Dormeo Octaspring after I spent over a year complaining that something was wrong with it & my hip constantly hurt. Customer Service from the company we bought it from told me to take off the cover - the mattress top was split in several places. This mattress was replaced with the DO 8600 & I can feel the foam 'springs' in many areas making for a lumpy sleep. The top foam layer is just too thin. The new mattress off gassed for a few weeks and has a mildew smell. I wish we stayed with our latex mattress.

i had a really hard mattress for years, was due for a new one. waking up in pain, back and neck, prior condition. went to local mattress store and was desperate for relief, originally purchased tempurpedic rhapsody breeze, i was on a 3 mo trial no fee return, started to have neck pain, also a prior condition. Went back to store to let them know and was shown this one for $1000.00 more. Salesperson said he had neck issues and he had this dormeo mattress himself and was really happy with it. Dormeo delivred all fine until about 3 mos in and then i started waking up with sharp pains in my lower back, could not get comfortable, started sleeping on floor occasionally . Over time the mattress has gotten softer and softer with no support, at least for me. its probably a well made mattress for some, but my experience has not been pleasant nor positive. total cost of this abomination is $4700. it's a car payment a month for me I have not been back to store to seek answers, my suspicion is they will say 1 return/exchange only, store policy. unless u want a really super soft bed, i do not reccomend dormeo. i would like to sell this at a reduced price and get another tempurpedic.
