Worst mattress ever

the idea of an unflippable mattress is a scam. We rotate it regularly so my grove becomes my wife groove. We are both not heavy people but there is zero support. I had back problems that worsened and my wife developed them.

Great at first but not a ten year investment

With fibromyalgia and joint problems, I need a very plush mattress to avoid pressure points but I still need good enough support to provide proper alignment. I was very hopeful about this mattress and for the first few years it performed very well. Got it in January 2010. I wish it had come with a more stretchy mattress protector because in order to get the conforming softness from the memory foam top I needed to loosen a corner of the protector so my shoulder could dig into the mattress enough. Over the years I have rotated it head to foot and I have switched which side I sleep on which I think prolonged its life significantly. The memory foam top started breaking down and in places I can feel the coils when I lie down. There is a sagging hammock effect which causes hip pain. However the increased indentation is not visible because the top is so puffy. I would be very surprised if anyone had ever gotten their warranty honored because of this. I got maybe three good years from it which for over $2,000 is not worth it to me. I expected it to last for 10 years or be replaced if it developed significant issues. Instead when I inquired about the warranty the person on the phone told me it was highly unlikely that it would be covered unless it had a visibly deep depression. Like deeper than my depression over a wasted two grand plus and wasted sleep and backaches. I decided after waking in pain for more than two years to give up and invest in myself and my health. This time I'm trying online shopping with great return policies. Hoping for luck with the LUXI!

Nothing compares! pure Heaven! I am so thankful!

First morning I woke in exact position I fell asleep, then the next night, and the next and the next. To my amazement, I feel rested but even more PAIN FREE when I wake, this very important to me Ive had 3 back surgeries and supposed to have cervical in future. I wouldnt think of switching back or even changing to a different one. It honestly feels like Im cradled, Nothing compares. . .

Vivian Columbus, Ohio , Horrible Mattress.

We purchased a Beautyrest Recharge Mattress less than a year ago. The mattress is horrible and has caused many issues including pain. Initially we noticed how uncomfortable the mattress was. Secondly, noticed collapsing on each side where indentions began to appear. We immediately contacted the merchant and have been redirected. We did not want to believe the new mattress we purchased was causing pain as well as many many sleepless nights. Finally, I convinced my spouse to spend some time at a hotel and oh what a relief. We could tell the difference in our bodies the first night. We are in the process of contacting Simmons for a resolution regarding the bad investment of the overpriced, apparently defective mattress. We have never written a review but felt obligated to write so others won't fall into the trap. It is hard to believe that the manufacturer didn't know of the defects and poor quality during production. Sad...

Mattress sewn cover has come apart creating lumps all over

Tried to get warranty help from Mattress Firm, but They want $25 for a "warranty kit" to take pictures then send it in to them.

The gel top started shifting the first year.

I thought this bed would be perfect after my back surgery. Now all of the foam and gel layers have shifted. There is a big lump in the middle,so you roll to either side. It buldges out on both sides about 5 inches. For a very expensive mattress it's not worth $100! Mattress Firm sold me a lemon. I Have to pay for the warranty appraiser to come see if it's defective. Then I have to get another mattress from them. They don't give refunds! Very dissapointed.

Very Bad Matress

I've had this matress for about 3 years and I've had constant back & neck pain since I've started sleeping on it. This matress hasn't held up at all for the amount of money I paid for it. It has constantly made noice and sags all over. I will never purchase another matress from this brand.

Feels like a cloud

I had not replaced my mattress in (yikes!) almost 28 years, so it was certainly time. Plus I figured there must be some innovations in that many years. My old innerspring mattress was the not thick kind you can turn over, so I was a little skeptical of all these newer ones which were not meant to be flipped. My old mattress was completely broken down. I don't think I realized how bad it was until I slept on my new mattress. I over researched and took a very long time to make up my mind, mostly because of the immense amount of information now available and my inability to make apples-to-apples comparisons among the brands and models. I toyed with the idea of buying one of the only-available-on-Internet brands which are delivered compressed in a box. But in the end, I needed the security of trying my mattress first. I also toyed with the idea of a latex mattress on ecological and non-allergenic grounds but found them too pricey. I also toyed with the idea of all memory-foam, because that seems to be what most people are getting these days. However, in the end I got another innerspring mattress but with some memory foam. It's been great so far. I bought it at Macy's, because I get a lifetime associate discount as a Macy's retiree. Mine is a full/double. I have limited space and it's just me, and I'm small. So this is a great mattress for me. I got the less tall foundation or else I'd have had to pole-vault into the thing! These new mattresses are a lot taller than the ones of decades ago. I like the idea of tight-top, because to me the pillow top is just an extra piece to shift around and eventually flatten. I used my original bed frame and so far it seems to be fine. I am very happy with this mattress and believe I made a good choice. Time will tell.
