Lumpy with weak sidewalls

Very disappointed as I have to go and buy a new mattress when I thought this one would last a while. Did not get a warranty on it as the furniture store had problems delivering a California King to the upstairs of my house. First few months, it was a dream....after a year it has become a nightmare!

The worst so call firm mattress

Simmons / Beautyrest should stop making this mattress since after two weeks I had to switch side and now I sleep in the middle. The company refered me to the store (The Brick) who has the worst customer service ever. I would recommend to stay away from that store and never buy a Simmons / Beautyrest mattress. I lost my money since I would need to continue sleeping in the defective areas in order to make the sagging of at least 1.5 inches to have a claim under warranty. The store have huge sales and I have a feeling that the Hotel Diamond series is made cheaper. You are made to believe it’s a great quality mattress because of the price. It’s all a scam!

sleeping on potholes

This was supposed to be the top of the line mattress at Sears. with in a month i started to feel sagging in various spots. I called Sears to complain about the quality, but because I didn't notify them within the 60 day window, the refused to replace. They will not send anyone out to look at it. They wanted pictures, so I sent them. they said there were stains- which there is NONE. My camera cast shadows so the denied the claim. The mattress is soo bad, I had to buy a new one while still paying off this one. The lumps/sagging is everywhere. I am not a heavy person so that was not the cause. Unfortunately Beautyrest says I must go through Sears. Sears has the worst customer service I have ever come across. Do not buy this bed and do not buy any bed through sears!

Nope.

We were at a store buying a mattress for our 4 year old and decided to look around for ourselves as our old Tempurpedic was getting really worn. This model was recommended to us by the sleep specialist based on our body types and sleep positions and preferences, and of all the mattresses he showed us, this one felt the best aside from the expensive latex ones. We purchased on impulse, buying the same day because it was on sale. I am a very curvy female side sleeper who likes SOFT beds, and this was supposed to be the softest ("most conforming") in the store. The new one that was delivered was as hard as a rock and after two weeks, I wanted to exchange. My husband liked it so we decided to keep it longer and see it through the break in period. We are two months in and I now have femoral nerve pain shooting down my leg thanks to this torture contraption. We have one of the "expensive latex ones" coming tomorrow and I've been counting down the number of "sleeps" left like a child before Christmas. The top layers of this bed do feel somewhat soft and comfy, but the springs underneath are hard and do not indent to allow your body to align correctly. This might be totally fine for someone who's a back/stomach sleeper or who has a straighter frame, but even my no-hipped husband has decided he also hates it and it's causing him pain. I will concede that it could be that we've been sleeping on a Tempurpedic for many years prior to this, but we're done with innersprings forever.

Developed body impressions

We were out for a firm mattress and communicated that to the sales person. Also take note that "firm" is in the name of the mattress. We had this brand new mattress less then 2 weeks and it developed body impressions an inch deep (measured without a body in it, so it significantly deeper when we were in them). Because of these body impressions we cannot comfortably lay together, spoon, or lay at a different angle from the body impression. The body impressions hold us in place and separate from each other. The dip pushes my husband's shoulders up and he sleeps worse than he did on our old coil mattress. These body impressions do not currently meet the warranty card specifications so Simmons isn't doing anything about it. They recommended we rotate it to even things out and was told by a representative that "these impressions are ok" Reminder we had the mattress less than 2 weeks before the impressions showed up. The mattress was a dream for about a week and we are very disappointed at how everything turned out.

Just the Right Support

Luxury firm is the right firmness for me. Our prior mattress was too soft and some of the ones we tried in the store were too firm. This one seems to be just right so far. Very comfortable but it does not feel like there is any cooling or ventilation. Overall a very good mattress.

Piece of Junk and Poor Factory Service

Do NOT purchase a mattress from Simmons. After a year, this fancy plush pillow top luxury firm mattress began to sink. Simmons sent a supposedly independent company to assess the issue...twice came back with "perfectly fine." I am only one of 400+ complainants about this company. I went to State Consumer Protection; they contacted Simmons, Simmons lied on their response. I finally gave up and gave the mattress away, bought a different brand at Costco. Now Costco is selling Simmons...that is, until C discovers that S will not honor a warranty and C has to pay out all of those claims. Repeat: Do NOT purchase a Simmons mattress.

Great for the short term, but NOT durable, TERRIBLE Warranty

Initially the mattress was great and comfortable, after about 18 months the body depressions on the mattress developed. This occurred on both my side (250 lbs) and my wifes side (140 lbs). The body depressions became so bad that I developed back pain from it. At about the 3 year mark we contact Simmons for the warranty, after review they claimed that the warranty is void due to a hot chocolate stain near the foot of the bed. They also claimed that the bod depressions were not bad enough, I guess sleeping in a valley is normal for Simmons. After this experience, I can assure you that we will never purchase anoth Seely-Simmons mattress and will advise friends and family against it.
