If I had known how heavy the mattress was, I might not have bought it. It is very hard to change the sheets because it is heavy to lift the corners. You don't think about that when buying a mattress. You are more concerned with the feel. I don't think it is necessary to have it be so thick and heavy to be comfortable.

horrible bed and horrible warranty

i got this bed in april 2015 and by august 2015 the bed was sinking in the middle and could not get any sleep i went through the process of the warranty but since its a pillow top you cant tell its sinking in the middle with pictures now its 2018 and the bed is so horrible to sleep on i literally have to sleep on the very edge of the bed cause its the only spot that doesnt kill as much, it was such a waste of money. p.s i bought this bed at sleepys

Restful Sleep at Last!!!

After 15 years of searching for the perfect mattress and more than spending $20,000 on various mattresses (8 to be exact), I found the most ideal one when I came across the Simmons Beautyrest Black Hybrid Gladney 14" luxury firm mattress at a nearby Mattress Firm store. I sustained several herniated discs & stenosis and joint injuries during my active duty military career which made for extremely restless nights. This mattress is the right combination of soft and firm to provide comfort to my joints and stability to my spine! I feel blessed to have finally found a mattress that allows me to effectively manage my back issues without making them worse!

Hot, hot, hot

If you sleep hot look elsewhere. This mattress has never been great as far as comfort. I've had it five years and have had waking/tossing and turning issues since I got it. Mainly because hot but also not so comfortable for side sleeping.

Horrible mattress

It sagged from the first day we got it. It was very different from my old mattress so I thought it was just taking some time to get used to it. I never felt refreshed upon waking. After a few months I started feeling pain in my back and hips. At first I thought it was some type of injury. I had some physical therapy which helped a little but when the therapy stopped the pain and tingling in my legs returned. I finally reached the point about six months ago that I wasn't sleeping through the night. I would wake up two to three times a night and try to find a comfortable position which was impossible. The sagging was getting much worse and I was in pain by the morning. I was so disgusted I went out and purchased another mattress even though this one was only 3 years old. Thankfully I am sleeping like a baby and wake up with no pain or fatigue.

Look forward to bedtime!

We have had the Maddie Luxury Firm for about 4 months and although it took some getting use to, I believe this mattress to be the most comfortable mattress I have ever had. It has completely taken away any back pain I was experiencing with our other mattress. This mattress is firm, but not too firm, and you sort of settle in to it after laying on it for a couple minutes and it actually contours around you, due to the memory foam part of this mattress. Another upside that my wife loves about this mattress is it sleeps very cool, unlike most memory foam mattresses, due to the Platinum Ice Memory Foam that is used. As for me, it is not the type of mattress that you might lie on and say, wow, this is the one,..however, given a little time, this is a mattress that is now giving me the most restful night sleep i've ever had. I would definitely recommend.

Quickly became uncomfortable

Purchased this at Sleepies... a model made just for them by Beautyrest. After testing many models in stores, I really loved this mattress when I first purchased it. But in under a year, "gullies" developed. (I am not, by the way, "plus sized"). The mattress sloped down to areas where I slept most, so I began positioning myself on the "higher" ridges to get the back support I was seeking and to even out the wear on the mattress. After 3 years, there are no comfortable areas of the mattress. There is no firm support anywhere. In recent months, for the first time ever, my mid-back hurts when I'm in bed. It's painful when I awake and first get out of bed, with twinges of mid-back pain during the day. While I used to look forward to climbing into bed, I now dread it and have to shop for another mattress. This was an expensive mattress, and definitely not worth what I paid to require replacement in 3 years. Huge disappointment.

Okay at best

We had another queen size Beauty Rest before purchasing this king size Avondale Pillow Top. I never loved the bed to begin with but my husband liked it so I gave in. It feels hard but not enough support at the same time for me. Over the years I grew used to it. But around yr 5 it started sagging badly and at end of yr 5 and start of yr 6 on my husband’s side (he is 180lb) the dent (big one) is more than 1.5 inches close to 2 inches, and on my side (I am 105 lb) it’s about 1.5 inches. The dents are so deep and big even after we make our bed with winter down covers you can see two dents on top! We followed the manufacturer warranty step and submitted all required pictures and got an answer back saying that normal and acceptable wear therefore not covered by warranty. Meanwhile our queen size Beauty Rest which we had for more than 14 yrs still shows no obvious sag/dent (it was our bed in our Manhattan apt for 8 yrs before we moved into our current house and upgraded to a King). We don’t think the sagging on our Avondale King bed is normal at all nor was the manufacture warranty response acceptable. If we didn’t have the other queen Beauty Rest bed we would never consider buying another Simmons’s bed again.

Terrible service! Tricked into buying a faulty bed

Bought the mattress even the stupid protector. When we received the mattress the law label was not on the mattress. The mattress bubbled up and did not lay flat. As newly married did not have expenses to buy a completely new mattress. Sit n sleep did not help us one bit. Terrible customer service. Will never buy from them again and telling everyone I know about our terrible mattress. After 5 months of saving and 5 months of sleeping on an uneven mattress! We bought another one and NOT from sit n sleep!!!!

I think I read where this mattress Beautyrest Symphony is discontinued. No wonder , it is a very poor mattress for what we paid . Very disappointed.
