About the Owner - Rikki Bushnell

I moved to Montana from Deerfield, Illinois 48 years ago. I spent my childhood summers in Butte Montana, visiting my Mom’s family and fell in love with the Big Sky Country. (My Grandparents owned the Bee Hive Candy Store & Café during the mining boom years in Butte)

I met my husband, Kurt Bushnell 43 years ago and we were married in 1987 (He grew up in Bozeman and served on the Bozeman Fire Department for over 21 years). We built our home off of Springhill Road over 36 years ago and I remain there today with our 2 horses, our dog Hanna and our cat, Maverick.

I joined Bill Truex at Bozeman TV & Appliance in 1987 as a temp and later became a partner in his company. We spent 30 great years together, serving the Gallatin Valley, providing Appliances, Cabinets and later, furniture to our customers. Bill decided to retire in 2015 and I chose not to continue on in the Cabinet & Appliance business so we sadly closed the store.

However, I wasn’t quite done! I loved the Furniture side of the business and decided to open my own store and focus on selling Quality, American Made Furniture & Mattresses, at affordable prices for working people like me.

With the help of my previous sales Manager, Steve Malby, at Bozeman TV, and my Bookkeeper Jessica Knudsen, I opened Rikki’s Furniture Gallery in March of 2016.

We are the Gallatin Valley’s only LaZBoy Comfort Studio, and have made it our mission to sell all American Made sofas, sectionals, recliners, & club chairs, in addition to the full line of Serta Mattresses (also made in America), USA Made rugs, and art work, and as much American made bedroom & dining furniture that we can find at a reasonable price. (We have an amazing custom Amish line that is very well priced!)

My staff and I have a very relaxed attitude about furniture shopping and believe that no one should be pressured or followed around the store, so we encourage our customers to come in, grab some coffee or water and just look around at their leisure. If you have any questions or need some design assistance, we’re here to help.

We even have a "kid’s cabin" for keeping the little ones occupied while you shop.

We are also one of the rare furniture stores in the Gallatin Valley that sell right off the floor. So if you see something you like, you can take it home the same day or have it delivered and set up in your home.
