- Would like a mattress that performs very well when used with an adjustable base
- Prefer a slightly below average amount of 'memory feel'
- Enjoy a happy medium between sleeping 'on' your mattress versus 'in' it
NOT IDEAL if you
- Like your mattress to have some bounce
- Have a strong tendency to sleep hot (temperature regulation is OK, but not the best)
- Frequently sit or sleep along the edge of your bed (edge support isn't the best, but is still pretty good)
- Tend to have difficulty changing positions during the night (though ease of repositioning is still pretty good)

In our review of this mattress, we tested it on an adjustable base to look for any adverse effects as the head and foot are elevated, and to see how well it conforms to the contours of the base both with and without the weight of a sleeper. Overall, we found the Bear Original to have very good adjustable base compatibility.
