Tried this bed in a showroom and knew right away this was the bed for me. It has a kind of bouncy lifting quality, without being overly firm. I bought the bed and never looked back. This medium firm mattress has wonderful pressure relief, unlike my former conventional innerspring mattress. I purchased a 2 inch latex bed topper that was available as an added layer of cushioning if desired. I've had my pamper mattress for over 9 years & it's holding up very well. When I travel and sleep in a hotel, I find the beds too soft, and I end up looking forward to being at home in my own bed. (I had a herniated disc injury that my pamper mattress helped me recover from). I found the best type of mattress for my specific needs - an all latex mattress, rather than the many latex beds that are on the market, that are really hybrids - foam and latex. The Original Pure Latex Bliss Pamper

Just an f.y.i. update addition to my review, "Restful and Recuperative Sleep" - I notice a notation, that I've owned the mattress less than a month. This is incorrect - as stated in my review I've had my mattress for 9 years. This is important, since the newer version of mattress may be slightly different, but probably very little has changed. It's a newer company (prior company went through a restructuring, and was bought out). You'll notice the new name for the mattress is "Pure Talalay Bliss - Pamper Mattress". My model (which is the original version) was named "Pure Latex Bliss - Pamper". Mine is a great mattress, even after 9 years. It has assisted me tremendously in recovering from back pain, a real lifesaver and an unexpected surprise. Some may find it's too firm, which can be easily remedied with the addition of the optional "2 inch latex topper" that can be purchased in that case. P.S. No one asked me to give this review, I was motivated purely to share my experience with this type of mattress, which at the time seemed like a gamble, but turned out to be a blessing.

Latex was not my first choice

I had a memory foam mattress that was great until I developed a back problem. I needed to get a firm mattress so I could easily get out of or roll over. I purchased a highly rated innerspring mattress which was returned and I went shopping for a firm, not hard mattress. While waiting for the store manager he put me on a latex mattress while waiting. 20 minutes later I went to my first choice innerspring. The latex mattress was better and then trying the different models I found the just right mattress. Soft and firm at the same time. I do not sink into the mattress, I float on top. Goldilocks would be so happy!

Finally.. pain free

We bought a Brand Name $800 mattress five years ago and it seemed like a good one at first. Within six months I was not happy. I called them about getting a different mattress and suddenly their wonderful warranty was not so wonderful. Basically, I was stuck. For the past two years I've gone to chiropractors to deal with the back pains. I have to be dead tired in order to go to bed and be able to fall asleep through the pain. When I laid down on the Latex Bliss in the store (on my left side) it only took less than five minutes for my back pain to go away. I could have fallen asleep right there in the store. I was only getting five or six hours of sleep on that other brand name mattress. I'd have to wake up in order to turn over because the pain was so much. Anyway, the Latex Bliss was delivered on Friday afternoon. Today is WEDNESDAY. I've had four wonderful pain free nights on this bed so far. I actually look forward to going to bed. I've used a CPAP machine since 2005. I don't move around much when I sleep because I feel like I'm tethered. That's part of the problem. My body is sore from laying in one place in one position, night after night. I have not felt this rested in a long long time. FOUR NIGHTS and I'm convinced this is the answer.

Very Squeaky Mattress Set!!

I purchased a queen Pure LatexBliss set from a local store and unfortunately my Pure LatexBliss mattress set squeaks very loudly waking me up at night! It squeaked the very first moment when I laid on it, as well as when I moved around at night causing me to wake up. The local store was kind enough to give me a replacement box spring (the source of the squeak) the next day. Unfortunately the replacement exhibited the same behavior. The store I made the purchase from suggested I keep it for a week to see if it would settle. Unfortunately after more than a week later it still squeaks keeping me up at night. I am very sensitive to sound and not used to a bed that squeaks. My old one did not do this, I don't know why a new one I paid this much money for should. More than a week later I am still extremely disappointed about my overall experience with my Pure LatexBliss mattress set as the squeaky bed wakes me up at night. The mattress itself seems fine so far however the foundations that are sold by Pure LatexBliss (which are not made by them) are of extremely poor quality. Not only does it squeak, but the slats are more than 6" apart covered with a top sheet of cheap cardboard. The thin bottom cover of the foundation is already coming apart as it is cheaply attached to the frame. I would have never purchased the box if I knew it would squeak or be this cheaply constructed. The box did not squeak in the store so I feel the one I actually purchase should not either. I have contacted Pure LateBliss via email voicing my discontent about the squeaks and they have simply stated that they would like the someone to examine the bed to ensure it was "set up correctly". I have ensured that my mattress set has been "set up correctly" by the guys who delivered it. Box goes on frame, mattress goes on box. Pretty easy I think. So I can't help but feel that Pure LatexBliss is punting on my concern. As such I cannot recommend a Pure LatexBliss mattress set to others. It is unfortunate that Pure LatexBliss charges so much for their product, but they give you such a poor quality foundation that detracts from any of the benefits of the talaly latex mattress that comes with it.

miserable in Roswell GA

Sold under the impression it was ok for me; I have had back surgery & only wiegh 113..if she had said this is a FIRM mattress-I would have declined. I spent all my money-hoping this would be my last mattress (69 yrs old) Dealer has been very cold, and never did anything except offer a $50 discount on topper. Right now I just want to talk to the C.E.O of PLB and ask that it be removed-free and all my money back!!! Pure Latex is way-over-rated. I have backaches every morning. Foundation very cheap, they tore a hold in a corner and said they would replace it (when I ordered a topper!) well, now they want to charge me to make that exchange. Ludecrous service!!!

If you will call our customer care staff (404-260-7421 extension 1) and let them know your name and contact information and then who you bought your mattress from, we will certainly call your retailer and see what they can do for you and find out more about the mattress. If there is anything wrong with your mattress from a manufacturing standpoint, it will be covered under your warranty. Just right combination

We have tried a lot of mattress types over the years, but only became aware of latex recently. My wife has chronic pain and spends a lot of time in bed, so the decision of a new mattress was huge for us. We did not think the perfect combination of firmness and softness could be found until we tried the firmest of the Pure Latex Bliss nature line (Pamper) with their 3 inch topper. We could not believe how good it felt in the store, and could not be happier with the choice now that we have slept on it for over a month. I am falling asleep faster and sleeping better through the night. It has not been a miracle cure for my wife, but she definitely feels better and some hip and leg pain she had experienced on our old mattress is completely gone. We fully recommend this mattress, but suggest you take time on different configurations because there are a lot choices and they all feel slightly different.

Very sore, frustrated, disappointed and sad

After years of trying I finally convinced my husband to purchase a latex bed and to spend a little bit more money for a really good bed. I researched everything I could find i.e. online, blogs, reviews. I found LatexBliss at our local retailer, WG&R. I felt more comfortable purchasing locally than online and I like the idea of getting to lie down on the bed. It seemed comfortable with a topper on it. Although I know you can't tell if you like a mattress just by trying it out for 15 minutes. I asked for literature but they didn't have any. I called LatexBliss but no answer to phone calls so I emailed. Michelle returned my emails and gave some ILD numbers. We purchased the 3" topper for the Pamper model. We like firm with some cushioning. A week went by and I felt like I was bottoming out. The store took back the topper with a 10% penalty. Michelle from cust. service that they carry a higher ILD topper, our store couldn't get it. I ordered a very expensive topper online, it was way too soft and while sleeping my spine alignment was off. Now I don't know what to do. I feel like crying, I am in so much pain and I don't want to go to bed. It has been 3 weeks now. I can do a one time exchange at WG&R (after 30 days of sleeping on the bed, but I can't sleep on that mattress anymore so I have another week before I can even think about exchange) with a 10% penalty but cannot get money back. If I step up to next model (which I would like to do, perhaps with 2" topper)I have to pay the penalty and pay more money for the upgrade plus I don't get the great sale price. I really want a latex bed because of the longevity of the mattress and it's resilience. I know LatexBliss is a reputable company, I just don't know what I should do or how I can afford to take the loss. My old bed is gone so now I don't have anything else to sleep on and the stress of this is killing me. I have one more chance to choose the right bed from our local company and I am afraid to do it for fear I will choose the wrong one and be more miserable.

Leanne, The retailer either exchanged Jennifer's mattress or gave her her money back after we talked with them. Your question is important. Please spend ample time in a showroom selecting your mattress. A good mattress is a big investment and you will spend a third of your life on it. Most people spend more time test driving their car than they do their mattress. Additionally, if being able to return your mattress is important, consider purchasing from a retailer that allows you to return it. Kurt Ling President
