Falling off the edge

Purchased this 1800.00 US mattress in Aug 2018. Since that time my husband and I have had drastically different sleeping experiences. While my side of the bed is extremely comfortable, his side seems to sag. Requiring him to sleep on the bump in the middle of the bed. When turning the mattress, I too experience the sagging on the side of the mattress, so much so that I feel as though I will fall off the bed. The store where we purchased the mattress closed shortly after our purchase. I'd not recommend this mattress as, despite it's supposed health benefits, is not conducive to a restful nights sleep. Needless to say, our couch has been our preferred sleeping location.

Update to Previous Review

UPDATE: Pure Talalay Bliss agreed to replace my mattress! I haven't slept on it yet, but I don't see any obvious defects and am hopeful that this one works out fine. Thank you Pure Talalay Bliss!

Defective Mattress

We've had this mattress for four years and pretty much since the beginning have noticed a "hole" in one particular area of the mattress. I rotated the mattress regularly with the hopes of it evening out. The hole is not visible and the warranty requires a 3/4" or more visible depression, so I hesitated to file a warranty claim. After four years I decided that I would try because whenever I rotate the mattress to where the hole is on my side, my back goes out. For warranty claims, Pure Talalay Bliss requires pictures of the foundation and the mattress showing the measurements of the depressions...no easy task as they want the mattress photos taken with the mattress off of the foundation which meant moving an extremely heavy mattress out of my bedroom, down the hall and into my living room. As I expected, depressions measured just slightly over 1/2" and the hole was not visible. Pure Talalay Bliss denied my warranty claim based on the fact that the depressions were under 3/4". I'm left with an expensive, defective mattress and no recourse available.

Defective Mattress

I've consistently turned this mattress as advised by the retailer that sold it to me, but whenever I turn it to one particular position my back goes out. It's like a soft spot in the mattress that isn't visible and is therefore not covered under warranty. I'm forced to leave the mattress in one position and it's developing uncomfortable impressions.

I LOVE THIS BED!!

I can't say it enough - I love this bed! It's by far the best bed we have EVER owned. It's comfortable the second you lie down, and there's very little motion transfer so if one of us gets up in the middle of the night we aren't waking the other. I usually fall asleep within minutes of going to bed, and stay that way. My kids and my mom all say they're going to kick us out of our room for it...not happening. :) I am SO happy we bought this bed - it is worth EVERY penny. One downside is that it's a bit heavy so changing sheets is a little challenging. But, that's nothing compared to how it has changed the way we sleep every night. I highly recommend this mattress to anyone!

Horrible

Believe the reviews - The,store model felt awesome, the new mattress delivered to our home is way too hard! Initially easy to fall asleep but will wake up often/ constantly changing position to remedy body aches. My back is destroyed! Have had the Bliss Nature for 5 months now - gave a fair try, now faced with a return and a loss of $1500 in an exchange for a top rated traditional mattress. local store has now dropped line. Best. Bed. Ever.

My husband and I had an old boxspring mattress that we had been sleeping on for years, wen we decided it was time to upgrade. I have horrible allergies, so I want something that would have some allergy resistance, as well as be firm. I am not a cushy bed sleeper, so if you are this mattress is not for you. My husband is 220, and I am 160 and we sleep amazingly well in this bed. He tends to sleep on his back or side, where I am a stomach sleeper. Unlike a Tempur-pedic, we didn't have to worry about strong off gassing (or any, even though they warned us there might be some). While it may not be as cool as a box-spring, there are options to buy sheets and mattress pads with cooling gels/fabrics. What I love most about this bed, is that I don't even feel him move in the night, if he comes to bed late, he's not waking me up and vice versa. We purchased the "Natural" king after doing loads of research. While it is very expensive upfront, comparing it with other mattresses of its type, it was not that far off price point. If you enjoy a firm night sleep, this is a great mattress!

This bed is way too hard.

I purchased the Pure Latex Bliss (Nature model) bed 4 months ago thinking that is would be more supportive and comfortable than a memoryfoam, because, it uses the pressure of the body to support rather than heat like the memoryfoam. Now I am so sorry that I bought the latex bed. I thought it felt good in the store. I went back to the store about 5 times to make sure the mattress felt good. But when I sleep on it all night my body hurts every morning. It just isn't comfortable. I find that it is too hard. My shoulders hurt if I sleep on my side and my back hurts if I sleep on my back. My husband also has the same experience with this mattress being way too hard. It may form to the body which feels good at the store, but feels like a board when we sleep on it all night. I wish I would have bought a memoryfoam or a conventional bed. Unfortunately the only local store that sold this mattress didn’t have a sleep guarantee. So I cannot take it back. I was so focused on the good reviews (probably written by the company) that I took a chance on this large purchase. I have now learned that there may be a good reason why only one store in a large city sells this product. That reason is because it is not a very good product unless you want a very FIRM mattress and the company doesn't stand behind their product. I talked to Pure Latex Bliss customer service and there is nothing that they will do since it is a comfort issue and not a warranty issue. I guess we have to live and learn. I just hope you as a reader will learn from my experience. We will buy a 3 inch memoryfoam mattress topper to make this bed comfortable. Hope it works. This is the first review that I ever made on a product. It is such a big expense that I am compelled to comment on it.

do not buy if you cannot return

Our mattress was so hard when it arrived. The first few days left me with back spasms. We were constantly told by everyone at store and manufacturer to allow for a break in period. Keep in mind no one tells you this before you purchase this most expensive mattress. This is our third mattress purchase together and we've never had such a "break in" period. Read on line where people had actually walked the whole mattress over to soften it up. We have slept on it for 6 weeks now. The store wouldn't loan us a topper and the only way I've stopped myself from sleeping on the sofa is by using a feather bed topper we had, its only a twin unfortunately for my husband. After some time it improved but only slightly. My biggest complaint ( & I really hate to complain- we expected to love it, the showroom model was so good) is that we mentioned right from the first week that the mattress height was only 9" 3/8, its supposed to add up to 10" with the various comfort layers. Makes sense to me that this could be affecting our comfort. I think they must get this a lot which is why they sell the topper and we were encourage to buy one, a mere $500 more! We spent more than our limit on this mattress in the first place hoping that it was worth the investment for a long lasting mattress. With little help from store or manufacturer I am feeling at a total loss and out a great deal of money. Buyer be ware. Although truthfully with mattress purchases they pretty much got you.

I appreciate your comments. Thank you. If your mattress is not the right mattress and measures only 9 3/8", it will be replaced. A Pamper is only 8" so that is likely not the issue. Way Too Mushy

This bed does not provide good back support or any body support at all. It's way too mushy and seems to be getting mushier every night. We will definitely replace it. Latex beds are overrated. Don't believe all of the hype.
