Luxury firm was too firm for me (but I'm very light)
For starters, I am 130 lb., athletic, female, 75% back sleeper, 25% side sleeper, with a history of lower back and neck issues.
Nest is a GREAT company. I bought this from their brick and mortar store in Berkeley CA.
I was looking for memory foam, good support and a good amount of hug and contour. In the store, the luxury firm felt just right. At home, and even after a few months, it's just too firm for me. I am experiencing a little tingling in the bottom of my foot and also in my shoulder if I sleep on my side. I returned to the store to try out the medium version of the bed, and, regrettably, that felt too soft. I was encouraged to try their Alexander Signature all memory foam bed, but the quilted cover on that one was too thick and I felt like it was detracting from the memory foam feel that I like.
I am now looking at the Novosbed Medium or Loom & Leaf Luxury Firm.

We ordered the Hard luxury King mattress, which proved to be too hard for us. Joe Alexander asked detailed questions, and also requested that we wait out the trial period. When we realized we'd never like the hardness of the mattress (arm was falling asleep), we worked on adding a mattress cover with lots of cushion. It did the trick and gave us the extra bit of softness we needed.
If you aren't sure about the hard mattress, I'd highly recommend you try a medium first! You will likely avoid the same issues we had!

Needed a new mattress when wife was pregnant. We originally purchased the medium firmness, and while mostly happy thought we would prefer something a little firmer. We were just past the 100 night trial period when we decided to switch and they couldn't have been more helpful. They sent out a new mattress and just asked that we donate the old one (rather than ship back). Sleep great on the new bed, and more comfortable for night time feedings. Great quality materials and I recommend the Maloof (sp?) Five sided bed protector. Had it for six months and couldn't ask for anything more comfortable.

Over the last few years, we've tried a SleepNumber (epic fail!) and a Westin Heavenly Bed (another epic fail). Both of those mattresses developed divots/ditches where we sleep - and we are not huge people.
I found a website by some guy who is crazy about mattresses. He reviews tons of different mattresses and that's where I found out about Nest. I was a little apprehensive, given that it comes in the mail and unfurls from the packaging. I thought 'sure, they'll take it back, but how the heck will I ever get it back in the packaging?' But all the online reviews (including Youtube videos) were great, so I decided to take a chance. Heck, it couldn't possibly have been worse than the lumpy Heavenly Bed we were sleeping on.
Well, it has been fantastic. I mean seriously - I was just thinking this the other night. We've had the mattress for a year and it is just like brand new. I love love love it.
There's only one thing that took getting used to. The edges of the mattress are not very firm. So, when you sit on the edge of the bed, you can slide off if you're not paying attention. :-)
I highly recommend this mattress - as a matter of fact, I just recommended it to a friend last month.

I expected this mattress to change they way I slept, unfortunately it's just another mattress. It advertises as keeping you cool and I have found just the opposite, I wake up hot and have to move to a cool place on the mattress. Over all the mattress is ok, but nothing ground breaking.

This was the Only King Sized Mattress that I could get up the Stairs of my Old Farmhouse ..... I love it Very Comfortable and I sleep well every Night ...... it was a little softer than I expected but I became used to it very quickly

The firm mattress was actually still a little too soft for me and the owner offered to make an even firmer version, which has worked out spectacularly. Customer for life.

the mattress provided great support at first, now we've had it almost a year and the mattress is much too soft and lacks support causing back and neck pain. The foam has worn down were we sleep leaving a hump in the middle of the mattress.
