BEST if you
- Want a mattress with a medium amount of softness
- Are mainly a side sleeper (though this mattress can also be very good for back sleepers)
- Regularly sit or sleep along the edge of your bed (edge support is excellent)
- Prefer no 'memory feel' in your mattress
- Would like a mattress with excellent adjustable base compatibility
- Enjoy a happy medium between sleeping 'on' your mattress versus 'in' it
NOT IDEAL if you
- Weigh 225 lb or more, especially if you sleep on your stomach
- Can be easily disturbed by other movements in the bed (though motion isolation is still pretty good)
- Don't like any bounce in your mattress

In our review of this mattress, we tested it on an adjustable base to look for any adverse effects as the head and foot are elevated, and to see how well it conforms to the contours of the base both with and without the weight of a sleeper. Overall, we found the Aviya Plush to have excellent adjustable base compatibility.

General Description
The Aviya is a premium hybrid mattress constructed of wrapped innerspring coils and high density, luxury foams. Key features of the Aviya mattress include:
- Real Innerspring Support: Unlike all-foam mattresses, the Aviya hybrid mattress provides core support using an innerspring system. With 800 coils (in queen size) and a full 8” spring depth, our innerspring system provides deeper and more substantial support than the lower quality linked spring systems or 2-3” tall “micro” coils found in other innerspring mattresses.
- High Density Foams: At Aviya, we raise the bar by using only high density 1.8 pcf HD foams in all of our upholstery and quilted comfort layers. The standard for the rest of the industry is 1.2 pcf density foam. That means our foams are 50% denser and of far higher quality -- and thus will maintain their comfort, support and resiliency far longer than almost any other innerspring mattress.
- Full Foam Encasement: Full 3” wide, high density, complete perimeter foam encasement rails securely enclose our premium Aviya innerspring. This high quality edge support provides a very stable seating edge around the perimeter of the mattress and allows you to enjoy 13% more usable sleep surface.
- High-Quality Foundation (optional): Just like our mattress, the Aviya Foundation sets a new precedent in quality, durability and support. We utilize 50% more slats than a standard foundation, resulting in 150% more coverage, strength and durability. For good measure, our slats are 2.5 inches wide versus the industry standard 1.5 inches.
- Responsible Materials: We make every effort to use locally sourced, environmentally friendly components that reduce outgassing of chemicals into your sleep environment. For instance, our polyurethane foams are blended with soy to reduce the amount of petro-chemicals used in the production process. Our foams are also CertiPur certified, which means our mattresses are made without many potentially harmful materials like mercury, lead, formaldehyde, prohibited phthalates and volatile organic compounds.
