Its now in one of our guest rooms.. Our friends and grand kids always opt to sleep in that room. Several friends have tried to find it to purchase themselves.
Too bad they make it anymore

Since day one, I have loved sleeping on this mattress. Previously, I liked extra firm mattresses but I fell in love with this mattress when searching for a replacement. I would literally come home for lunch just to get a 15 nap on it.

What to do when Carolina Matress is out of business???
Bought this mattress at Rooms to Go 7 years ago. Had someone come out and measure depressions last Friday1/19/18. Measured 2 1/2 inch depressions. Got a call from Rooms to Go 4 days later saying mattress in no longer under warranty since Carolina Mattress Guild is out of business! Anyone know what to do now? Looking for suggestions. Just want to buy a new bed but Rooms to Go's answer is SORRY... That's not good enough!

This mattress was fine for several months after purchase however it started showing indented areas where we normally sleep. These became worse over time and now I am laying in a hole. I weight 160 lbs. so I don't believe that is the issue. The salesman where we bought this mattress wants us to have their customer service person come and measure the the indentations to see if we qualify for a new mattress. I'm not holding my breath..... It has to be 1.5 inches to qualify so it will probably measure 1.499". Anyway won't be buying another mattress from this company.

This Carolina mattress leaves us feeling very unrested in the morning. I weigh 145 lbs, every morning there is an impression of my body. I cannot sleep near the edge of this mattress, I have to fight to not roll towards the center. During the night if I need to roll over it takes too much energy, and the burning pain that shoots to my toes from my sciatic nerve is unbearable. I still have a 20 year old Serta that we use as a guest bed, it has never sagged.

I never write reviews, but this was worth sharing. The bed was so comfortable the first night, but within 3-4 months I noticed that my side was sagging. I tend to sleep in the same spot on my side, but I am 120 pounds, so that is likely not the issue. We spin the mattress often since my husband moves around alot and his side has held up much better. we are at almost two years, and at this point if I lay in the middle it feels like I am so much higher up, it is very strange. A friend told me I could actually call for a replacement, but we no longer live in New York. I am so dissapointed, because the first few weeks were great!

I'm returning this bed after sleeping on it for 2 weeks. I did the 5-minute per position test in the store and thought it felt firm but cushy, just what I wanted. It actually is too soft, I swear I can feel the springs through the foam by morning. When I sit on the edge to put on my shoes the mattress collapses beneath me. I bought the bed because I was told it would keep me cool -- WRONG! It's so hot that I had to take off my blanket, in the middle of a very cold winter. The only good thing I have to say is that it's very pretty -- too bad the mattress cover doesn't show when the bed's made up.

I purchased this bed at the end of June and by August, the mattress had sagged one full inch. This claim has been verified by the mattress inspector that I was obliged to call. Of course, the warrantee states that the mattress must sag 1 1/2 inches for a replacement, regardless of when the product was purchased. Who in the world could possibly sleep on a mattress until it sags that much, especially someone who bought a new bed specifically to alleviate back problems?
I bought this bed because it was highly recommended, it is made of natural materials, and it was made in America. I saved up to purchase this mattress in cash and was initially very satisfied. Moreover, I purchased this bed because my deceased grandfather, who lived and worked in North Carolina, made furniture there and I liked the idea of honoring his memory in this small way.
I have lost a significant amount of sleep, time off of work, and my back has been hurting for several months. I had to purchase an extended warrantee from the store from which I bought the mattress plus an additional delivery fee to exchange it for a more reliable brand ( Sealy Posturepedic).
I have read the responses from Carolina Mattresses about other obviously defective mattresses they have manufactured and sold. I find their apologies to be disingenuous and they all appear to pass the responsibility of replacement onto the retailer. The fact that a bed that is supposed to be guaranteed to last 15 years has broken down in less than two months is absolutely inexcusable. I know that the poor person tasked to respond to these emails can only write empty platitudes, but any company worth their salt should take full responsibility for their defective product. The retailer did not create this subpar product, Carolina Mattress Guild is the manufacturer. They alone have the responsibility to maintain quality control over the production of their mattresses--no one else.
Unless this company is willing to reimburse me for my valuable time off of work spent waiting for the mattress inspector, my lack of adequate sleep and it's detrimental effect on my quality of life, and the money I have spent purchasing additional insurance policies and additional delivery fees, I would prefer that this review is not answered with an empty apology or statement stating how "unusual" my experience is. Additionally, if my request is ignored or this review is removed, I will plaster this exact same review onto every retailer's site that carries your product.

Worst bed and company the world: Carolina Bed and Sleepys
I hate this mattress with a passion. I wake up with horrible back and neck pains. I bought a Carolina Radiant Firm mattress and boxspring in June and only after a few months it sagged. The bed inspector came to measure it and the results came back at 1 3/8". Sleepy's would not exchange or refund my money because they claim that the bed is still within standards as the sag is not than 1.5" or more. I believe the report was rigged. The customer service at Sleepy's is dishonest and they do not stand by their warranties. They sell sub-standard products and they just take your money and leave you hanging dry. I would not recommend this bed to my worst enemy. NEVER buy this mattress or deal with Sleepy's again..!!! Both Carolina and Sleepy's are the worst companies in the world and should not be in business.

Official Response
Hi E.Q. -- We're sorry to hear about your negative experiences, but you're saying a lot of very harsh, overarching statements based on a negative experience with Sleepy's customer service.
Sagging in that manner is not typical of our beds, and should your bed sag to the point of qualifying for a warranty claim (the terms of which are spelled out very specifically in the warranty which came with your bed and can also be found online), it is Sleepy's responsibility to act on your claim and file a replacement for you.
