The "extra firm" feels like a medium, sealy didn't care.
Tried the extra firm in store, it felt solid, didn't feel like quicksand. The medium was bearabe for awhile, then I tried for a return. $1000 bed = $300 refund. No bed, get to kep "free" base, that isn't even the right size, "no returns, 3 inches is within acceptable limits".
So I got the firm version, cuz what else am I gonna do what I didn't like any of the mattreses. Be held hostage into an exchange instead of taking my almost full refund, yelling at everyone in the world that matttress firm sucks, and then I would have built a DIY latex or tried online beds, that actually are free returns.
Bed's ok, especialy now that the pillowtop is gone. If you want to have a mattress die quickly, get a pillowtop. I woke up in back pain, I still owe $280 on the mattress so I can't afford a new one.
It's a perfect night sleep every night! With spinal stenosis and with degenerative spine disease, and poor circulation in my legs it was important to me to find the best mattress for myself. This gives me zero gravity support!
Even my mother who has extreme spinal degeneration and tried so many other mattresses said, "My back doesn't hurt the next morning after sleeping on this mattress."

This mattress is like sleeping on a cloud. It’s amazing. I bought the pillow top years ago boy did I get lucky , I just wish I would have bought a king size but my queen is perfect. I’m afraid if I ever have to replace it , I won’t find the same comfort.

This bed was used in our guest bedroom and needed to be thrown away within the first few years. At some point the box spring has gotten broken in several places and the mattress is no longer firm and comfortable. Waste of $.
We have had this mattress for about 14 months now. My partner and I are both obsessed with this bed! Firm enough to provide back support for my bad back, but also so soft and plush and squishy! It's like laying on a cloud. Has just the right amount of 'sink' to cocoon you but still remain very supportive. Any time we stay at a hotel or with other people, we can't wait to flop back into our own bed ASAP!
This mattress cost a lot of money and was the worst mattress I've ever had. Finally bought a new mattress last week.
It's not supportive at all, it forms ruts after laying on for 15 or 20 minutes, when you try to move, it basically rolls you back into the ruts.
If I remember correctly, it was supposed to be a medium mattress firmness, but this is way more like jello.
I should've had it replaced after we first got it, but for some reason I thought.. ahh it won't be so bad..

Purchased a king pillow-top Sealy Golden Elegance mattress. After 3 months you could see our body impressions in the mattress. After 6 months we were sleeping in a hole. I weigh 235 lbs, my wife much less. This was a very poor mattress and a waste of money.
