1. My previous mattress was too soft and not supportive.
2. I found the excellent overviews of various mattresses on Goodbed.com and watched them many times. I narrowed my choice to the Albany hybrid medium and the Brenham hybrid firm. I studied the photos of Mike laying on the beds ( I was thankful for both the videos and the photos).
3. I didn't want to sink too far into the mattress but wanted some cushion for my arthritic hips. I decided that the Brenham hybrid firm was a fit for me.
4. I paired the Brenham hybrid firm with a Tempur-pedic ERGO 3.0 adjustable base, I wanted the lumbar support bar found in the ERGO models. It really makes a difference.
I would like to do a review in one year and then in five years to report on the longevity of both the bed and the adjustable base.
I do sleep better in this bed and I make use of the lumbar support in the adjustable base. For me, this was a very good pick.

This is actually my second mattress, I took the first one back thinking it was just a flaw but the second one did the same thing, very saggy and lumpy and I can hear the springs popping at night, thankfully the Mfg. warranty covered both, this time I am going for memory foam!

This bed has not lasted, it is suppose to be firm but have divots on each side where we sleep. We rotate the mattress regularly and that did not help. I would not recommend

I was looking for a bed with better support after my very expensive high end bed support core failed after one year and the company denied my warranty claim. I was sinking very far down in the bed and waking up in severe pain hips, neck, shoulders, lower back. I tried Sealy Posturepedic Hybrid High Point Firm in the store and thought it felt perfect. Great support for my back while allowing my hips to sink properly.
When the new mattress arrived I could tell it was much firmer than the store model. After two weeks I started experiencing hip pain in the morning that only got worse with time. After 30 days, not much change in the mattress and by this time I am starting to use Icy Hot on my hips for the pain. At 60 days, I bought a soft topper which helped a little. At 90 days, OTC pain meds are no longer working and neither is the topper, so I utilized the exchange feature of the sleep trial period offered by the store. I traded for a Stearns and Foster Estate Plush. Wish Me Luck!

I'm surprised at how poor this mattress is, given the manufacturer. But it's lumpy, it sags at the edges where you habitually sit when getting up or getting into bed. It sags where you have been sleeping. I'm on the verge of buying a new bed, I planned on buying Sealy. But when I checked to see who manufactured the back-breaking bed I'm sleeping on now, I was shocked to see the name "Sealy Posturepedic."

When I bought this mattress, I was traveling a lot. On the road, there was one hotel I looked particularly forward to sleeping at, because the beds were so comfortable. I slept like a baby there every time. I decided I wanted to buy a mattress just like theirs so I could sleep like that at home. It was a commercial version of Sealy’s Posturepedic Devin. I bought it as soon as I got home and have loved it ever since. I’d love to buy another one but, unfortunately, it looks like it’s been discontinued. Best mattress, ever!
