The worst bed ever

We tried this bed as a twin size in the showroom. We laid on it for a good 30 minutes and it felt good. Good enough for us to pay over 1800 to have a king size delivered. We picked the firm as it was side by side with the soft and we really felt no difference and the sales man said we could make a bed softer, but not firmer. Hmmm.. I think this should have been a tip off something was off with these mattresses. When it was delivered it was hard as a rock. We were told that it was because the memory foam needed to warm up. Fast forward to the first night, I woke up with significant pain in my neck, upper arm, hip, thigh and knee and numbness in my hand and face. My whole body hurt for the entire next day. Determined to try to salvage this nearly 2000 mistake I moved the mattress off the foundation onto the solid floor thinking the wooden slats in the foundation might be causing the pressure points. The second night was much like the first, I was up in pain in just over an hour after going to bed. Now I am sleeping in our spare room. Feel like this may be a bait and switch by the retailer, but regardless this mattress is horrible, seriously it is a torture device. Buyer beware, if thinking about buying a restonic mattress. If I could give it zero stars I would.

Hi Rebecca, I'd like to start by thanking you for sharing your experience with us. Your happiness with your new Restonic mattress is our top priority and we can't help if we don't know there's a problem. Have you contacted the retailer you bought the mattress from and explained the problem? You also might want to compare your bill of sale to the law label on your mattress to ensure the mattress you bought is the one you received. Mistakes like that don’t happen often but we’re all human and it’s better to double check before going any further. It can take up to 2 weeks for your body to adjust to a new mattress, especially if your old mattress had significant support issues. There are, however, some things you can do to make the transition easier. When memory foam is cold, it is much firmer than other mattresses. Throughout the night, it softens as it responds to your body heat. You might want to try a heating blanket or turning the heat up in your bedroom in the hour prior to your going to bed. Another thing that can help is a mattress pad, which will add a comfort layer between you and the mattress. If these things don’t help you adjust to your new mattress, you should contact the retailer who sold you the mattress and explain the situation. We’re always available to talk if you’d like to discuss the matter with us too. You can reach us at: info [at] restonic [dot] com. Thanks for reaching out and I hope this helped a little! Julia

OVER PRICED GARBAGE

I purchased a Carmona Plush Euro Top matress from Furniture Mart almost a year ago, the sales person had me convinced I was getting a high quality mattress and how well rated Restonic was in the industry. Well I wish I had come to this website first to see all the horrible reviews for this mattress company. However, within a few months I came to realize what garbage this mattress is made of. Who states in their warranty that it is normal for a mattress to sink 1-1/12 inches? That is not normal. Its been a year of having this mattress and I can feel every spring, there is a huge divet in the middle of the bed when I sleep on it and roll over onto the other side it is like I'm rolling into a valley. This is the worst mattress I've ever had and I will never recommend this brand to anyone. And it is not the frame support. I purchased the frame from furniture mart as well with a strong middle support. I have also been rotating the mattress clockwise in the spring and fall as your website recommends. This mattress does not even deserve any stars. I did submit a review through the Restonic website and I did also register my mattress. But I highly feel it is not worth the money to actually get a new mattress through the warranty or have them "fix" the mattress as I think their quality of materials is probably so poor it is not worth the transport cost to "fix" it. I've only had the mattress for a year and I'm getting ready to put it in the dumpster, I wouldn't even dare to give this away for free people will have serious back problems if they try sleeping on this mattress, I would rather sleep on the floor.

Hi Sasha, Thanks for getting back me so quickly! I won’t know about costs until we talk but I can’t do anything until we talk. I don’t want to see any customer have such a poor opinion of our products and I can assure you, we’ll do everything in our power to turn this situation around. We very much look forward to hearing from you. Julia

possibly the worst mattress I've ever owned.

This pillow top memory foam was great for the first 5 or so months. Then the mattress began to sink and sag and became increasingly worse. Not its barely bareable to sleep on.

My back and shoulders hurt

I've been complaining to my wife about my back and shoulders when I wake up and climb out of bed, not roll out of bed, in the morning. I am reminded of the struggle as a kid getting out of waterbeds before they were wave-less. When changing the sheets I keep getting eye level and looking at the indentation in the middle of this bed and it is no wonder I always feel I am leaning / rolling to the center at night. Maybe it is from the no sag edges they sold this product on when we bought it but those edges are not even as sturdy now. Only had the bed for a couple or few years. I was checking out new mattresses, firm ones, and I believe I self adjusted my spine. Today I am doing research decided to see if anybody else had a review, saw one and have to agree with the previous commentator about this product. I am hating a relatively new bed and wish I had the support of my previous two long term mattresses. I'll be taking a picture of the label and sending in my concern to info@Restonic.com like Karen L was told to do...

Hi KF, Your Restonic representative that works with Haynes Furniture looked through their warranty claims and there are none with your initials. Also, the folks at Haynes Furniture have tried to find your purchase in their records and there isn't enough information posted on GoodBed to be successful. Haynes Furniture and Restonic both want to help with the problem you're having. We've waited to find you through an email to info@Restonic.com, but that hasn't come through yet, either. Please call Haynes Furniture's customer service at 800-768-0348 so they can help you set up a warranty claim. Your Restonic rep, Travis, wants you to know that as soon as you contact Haynes Furniture, they will get in touch with him and, together, they will work to get your issues resolved quickly. Thanks for letting us know you need help with your mattress.

Complete Failure

I purchased the bed in November 2009 asking for the top of the line to support my large husband. We were told that the Palomino was the "Best of the Best" and would NEVER be a problem. By Septemaber of 2011 both sides had collapsed (we rotated it every month). But one side was showing wear more than the other. I left him in September of 2011 and brought the bed to Texas along with my other possessions. I should have left it behind. I have been sleeping across the bottom end of the bed for the past year because both sides of the mattress in the traditional direction are collapsed so badly that I can't get a night's sleep without a horrible back ache the next day. I contacted Restonis in Houston in October of 2012 and have thus far gotten nothing but the run around. They want me (a 63 year old single female) to deliver it to them in Houston, some 250 miles away so that they can "unzip" it to determine "if" there is a problem. On my own, I have just this week learned that I can deliver it to a store within 25 miles of my home, but that still leaves me with the wrestling match, the $20 truck rental, the $.79 a mile fee (times 50 miles), the $40 gas replenishment fee, the $20 hired-hand fee to help this old lady load it onto the rental truck (if I can find someone to do it). Have you kept up with the math for a one way drop off? It comes to roughly $120 and I will have to repeat the proess and expense to get it back after being without a bed for an estimated 2 weeks. Help me lord! Cause Restonic sure isn't helping me at all. I have a 20 year warranty on the thing and they are ticking off time like it was nothing. And the only proof that I have that I even lodged a complaint is the emails I have had with the Houston office.....and trust me, he is VERY slow to respond. But from what I am reading on the blogs, I'm not alone. Restonic has duped hundreds of us in just the same way.....stall, stall, stall and above all deny that there is a problem.

Hi Penny, We're very sorry you're having difficulty transporting your mattress to the Houston manufacturer location for inspection and repair. As manufacturers, we're not equipped to cover transportation as part of the Restonic warranty - and this is normal in the bedding industry. Customers usually rely on their retailer to help them with picking up their bed and bringing it back to the store where our 18 wheeler picks it up and brings it to the manufacturer location. That's one of the ways that retailers are the first line of warranty assistance for customers. When you moved you were left without that support system. It's great that another retailer is willing to hold your mattress for the truck so you don't have to take it to Houston. We do have the option of using 1 of 2 independent inspection companies when customers would prefer to pay for an in-home inspection. I've checked with one and they don't have inspectors in Texas. I'll inquire of the other company and see if they can do an inspection in Frisco, TX. Also, if the mattress is defective, you'll still need to get it to Houston for repair. Thank you for letting us know that you feel we have been slow to respond. Without your input we wouldn't know where we could improve. Every customer service staff member tries to get back to their customers as quickly as they can. Sometimes answering questions requires checking with a supervisor, or someone even higher in the chain of command, and delays can result. We'll definitely try and improve our response time. I am confident that, if your mattress has a defect in material or workmanship, once it is repaired you will be very happy you went through the effort of having it taken care of. It will almost be like having a new mattress again - a new start - and, if you sleep all over the mattress, it will be because you want to. Please follow up by sending an email to info at Restonic.com. I'd like to see if there's any way to make this a better experience for you. If an independent inspector is an option, I'll need a way to get in touch with you. Deb

Kills our backs!!!

Paid quite a bit for set. ($1600) After three years was broke down. Looked like what I like to call "canoes" on each side. Factory rep came and measured the indentations on each side. Said they had a bunch of faulty materials and would redo the pillow top. Factory had seller send it in for us to redo the top. What a crock! It is still that way. My husband said he thinks all they did was stand it up in the warehouse and let the foam come out. It is still bad. Never buy another!

We’re very troubled to hear about your experience with your mattress and our customer service. Quality and customer service are core values at Restonic, so thank you for letting us know we disappointed you. We have researched your first name and last initial in our customer service database and could find no order for a return/repair. We also contacted the retailer and they cannot find a record of an issue under the information either. Both Restonic and the retailer want to find out how this happened and work with you to see if we can correct the situation. Please send an email to info@Restonic.com and include as much detail as you can. Please make sure to include a photo of the law label. The law label is a white form sewn into the head or foot of your mattress that says “DO NOT REMOVE UNDER PENALTY OF LAW EXCEPT BY CONSUMER.” We look forward to hearing back from you.

We’re very sorry to hear you are disappointed in your Restonic mattress. Based on the information you provided, we are unable to find any warranty claim filed by you. While comfort is a personal metric that cannot be covered under a warranty, body impressions greater than 1.5” are covered. You will need to provide a copy of your original sales receipt, the name of the manufacturer printed on the law label, and pictures of ribbons or labels on your mattress that say “Restonic.” We need this documentation because your warranty is not transferable and the sales receipt shows that you were the original purchaser of the mattress, and pictures of silk ribbons or labels that say “Restonic” prove you have a genuine Restonic mattress. Our manufacturers are licensed and can make other brands in addition to the Restonic brand name. To begin the claim process, please email those items to info@restonic.com. We have customer service specialists waiting to hear from you.

Sleeping like a baby!

I tried out the Restonic mattress in the store and bought it on the spot. It was just what I was looking for...a comfortable mattress. There is no sagging or low spots for this plus-size person. It's just like a luxury hotel mattress, but didn't cost me an arm and a leg.
