Tough bed

Has held up well as a solid surface to sleep on daily over several years, but still remains too firm for a lightweight side sleeper. Not much if any squishy memory foam feel to it since it barely compresses under my weight. Minimal bounce, motion transfer, or conforming. Doesn't sleep particularly hot for a foam bed.

Least toxic foam, yay! But, SO hard

I like a firm mattress, but this mattress takes firm to a whole new level. I have a spinal injury and I was hoping that I could use this mattress until, hopefully, a settlement comes in or I can start working again and purchase a good mattress. Unfortunately, I don't think I will be able to withstand it. It might be livable with a topper, but IKEA toppers are another few hundred dollars and that pushes the overall price too far up. If I could afford the toppers, I would just go buy a decent mattress. I like that it is a less toxic form of foam, but not that the latex topper is 15% synthetic, not 100% natural, which is a bit of greenwashing that I'd rather avoid.

Melting on a cloud

Sleep through the entire night without awakening. Comforting. Always glad to come home after a vacation to sleep on my latex. Has a thick zippered protective sack and I added a cotton matter protector on top, also. Had some warm nights but tossed covers back. Never as hot as memory foam. No pressure point problems. I sleep side and stomach only.

Love this bed!!

This is an amazing matress! I was so surprised Ikea had something this great and with a 89 day trial. Unfortunately it only comes in medium firm. It's hard to stay awake in this bed and it is amazing after a long day to feel the release of all pressure in body! Definitely recommend!

No sleep, ever

I have had this mattress for a full week and I have yet to even nod off on it. It's completely uncomfortable and I have yet to get a wink of sleep on it in an entire week. Worst mattress I have ever purchased, it's going back today, God help me I hope they give me a merchandise credit, never again will I make the mistake of buying an IKEA mattress. Boo!

short life span

I'm giving it four stars because the price was so reasonable that two to three years of excellence is probably still a good deal. This was a really nice bed originally. We bought it in June of 2013. By some time in 2017 it was toast. Sides pooched out, completely shot. Hump in the middle of the bed between us. I'd upload pictures if I could. Anyway, we replaced it with something much more expensive. I hope we get what we paid for and the bed lasts longer than three or four years!

Mattress does not last

I got this mattress about 2 years ago. When I first got it it was great, now it's so crappy, I can feel the springs, and sometimes I hear like stuff is breaking inside. The mattress feels so lumpy now (when I first got it it had some firmness to it), now the surface is uneven. My husband and I are both thin people and I have been experiencing more and more back pain and difficulty sleeping. I also have to say it does not help regulate your body temperate, it gets hot and stays hot. It's like it will absorb heat and retain it which makes it difficult to sleep at times, even though we have the AC blasting. It feels like we are sleeping on a stove. I'm throwing it away and getting a new one from a different place. I have asked everybody I know and they tell me good mattresses last at least 5 years. I have only had this one for barely 2 years.

I'm Goldilocks who's found the right bed

It's bouncy, yet it keeps its shape. I sit on my bed a lot as I have been bedridden n I was stunned to see no depression in the bed. Not like the traditional mattresses that easily sagged after a year of 8 hours of sleep a night, while not bedridden.

Comfortable and washable

We've had everyone from small children to large adults sleep in these beds, as we have two twins in our guest room. Everyone who has slept on it has given it rave reviews. People often say they get better sleep on this mattress than they do on their own at home! One woman has sciatica, and she said that the firmness of this mattress helps her leg/back pain. The part I love about it the best is that the mattress cover is machine washable. We had one unfortunate incident where our friend's kid wet the bed. We simply unzipped the mattress cover (the stain hadn't penetrated the foam core) and washed it in the machine using OxiClean as opposed to regular detergent. Then hung it out to dry. Now it looks and smells like new. I highly recommend this mattress!

Sudden decay after 1 year

For the first year that I had this mattress, it was fine and was comfortable. However, suddenly after one year, a huge dent appeared in the spot that I usually get on the bed, and shortly after that the springs began poking through and becoming painful to sleep on. I never had back pain before this mattress. Now I have back pain all the time from sleeping on this mattress. If you want a short-term mattress, go ahead and buy this. But if you want your mattress to last longer than a year, go elsewhere.
