WORST MATTRESS!!

This is the worst mattress I have ever owned. The foam started to break down on the sides of the bed and in the area that I sleep immediately after purchasing it. After a few years, the area where I sleep became permanently indented. It has worsened my back pain. The side walls are also collapsing so significantly that it is not safe to sit or sleep close to the edge of the mattress. I purchased the 10 year warranty and I am currently in the process of trying to claim that warranty. The Dormeo company is making the process a nightmare. They are requesting a ridiculous number of pictures. They do not want any pictures with a person on the bed, which is when it has the most significant indentations. The pictures they are requesting require multiple people to assist with, making it impossible for a single person to submit a claim on their own. I highly recommend never purchasing this mattress of dealing with this difficult company that does not want to replace their faulty, and dangerous, product. I would give this review zero stars if I could.

mattress just sags where we sleep

The integrity of the mattress where we sleep is poor. We raised this with the manufacture after 6 months and they sent a rep out with a stick to measure the sag and said it was within the acceptable range. We have persevered and turn the mattress every week and have limped along with what we consider to be a below par product. It also has very poor edge support and you feel as if you are rolling out of bed as there is a lump in the middle where nobody sleeps.

Disappointed with life of this mattress

Found this mattress at a New Home trade show. Tried the firmness level in person. I have had back pains so I appreciated the mid level firmness. And first five years were great. I sleep on the right side of the bed and that side started to break down. There were deep fissures that i could feel with the foam. I was told 20 years warranty but i have moved a few times and have misplaced the paperwork. Point is, mattresses in this price point should not last only 5-6 years.

Foam Cracked and broken

After a few years of use I started to complain that the support of this mattress was really bad. Today, after about 6 years, we took the mattress covering off and were shocked to find that the foam was broken and cracked (in the octagonal shape of the "springs") exactly where we both slept. Bits of broken foam was pressing through, to the point we had to vaccuum the floor after we moved the thing outside to the dump pile. For such an expensive mattress I would have expected more than a few years out of it and this type of breakdown is unacceptable. Most reviews I see are from people who've only used this mattress for less than a year....just wait and see what happens in 5 years!! Not worth the money unless you are able to shell out a few thousand every few years for a new mattress.

Busted and Broke after 4 years

My wife is disabled and deals with chronic pain. We purchased the bed for her as it seemed to offer fair support for me as well. For the first 3 years it wasn't bad but wasn't any better than a standard mattress at 1/3 the cost. The 4th year the comfort levels started to decline significantly. In the 5th year I was sleeping in a hole but my wife was still found it helped her with her pain levels. In the 6th year she's sleeping in a hole and allowed me to call in under warranty. I should have done it at the beginning of the 5th year. Wasn't any better than a standard mattress but was 3x the price.

Lost its support

We have the king size bed. We've had this mattress for two years. It was a very comfortable bed when it was new. Over time this bed is getting softer, where I lay the bed is softer now than where you don't lay. If you lay in the middle or the foot of the bed, the support is great, like when it was new. We started to notice we are waking up with sore backs again. It's a great mattress but for the cost, $2900, and needing to replace it in 2 or 3 years, your better off buying a cheaper mattress and changing it out. Great mattress but doesn't hold up.

Comfy for a big guy

Great at first but now has indentations

First 6 months great but you can now tell where we sleep. We bought a bed with slats and I did ask the salesman if this was ok and he said it was. Just read the terms and conditions of the warranty and realise its easy for them to get out of it. I went for this mattress as I was concerned about overheating and ok it has been good for this. But I now always wake up with shoulder and muscular back pain. Its difficult to roll over as there is an impression in the mattress. I sometimes even wake up during the night. Never had any problems with my last sprung mattress; just got rid of it due to its age.

What a load of rubbish

Bought this mattress after many years of back pain following sciatica op. What wonderful bids there are on the Dormeo Website, showing the luxurious concept of the different stiffness of the foam springs. So thought about this mattress and saved up over a couple of years for it ( I paid £1500) in the sales for it. Will what a load of crap. Slept better on our crappie old sprung dates where the springs clunked and poked you in the back. This mattress lulls you into a fslse sense of security. Feels really good when you plop ya bum on the edge. But having spent just over a year sleeping on it, I have to say I am so disappointed I wasted my money on it. With no word of a lie I have had no more than 7 nights good sleep on it. I now prefer to sleep on the sofa. So even if you read this and aren't sure how to take a lot of the 1star ratings! For a person to say they did their research on a product (a mattress) to prefer the night sleep on the sofa, has to tell you not to bother with this mattress just in case you too find yourself in same position as I and my wife do. And for the ladies of a certain age! this mattress and its super open sides which allow the lovely fresh air to flow through and help those hot flushes due to the change. Nope really not the case at all. My wife only 45 and starting all that dreadful stuff gets absolutely no benefit from that design at all. Believe me she strips off most nights, giving me the optomisum that my luck might be in. But no its is just so that she can slip on another top, after slinging her sweaty one in the wash basket. And yes that leaves her unhappy and me rolling onto my side to finish off the rest of a really uncomfortable nights sleep. Oh and the ribbed cover on it is bloody uncomfortable as well 👎😣.

dont buy this bed the coils fail after a short time

bought this mattress at sleep outfitters had a hard time finding a bed comfortable for my back. so on my last exchange I asked what would be the best for my back troubles they recommended that the dormeo or the tempur-pedic would be the best to buy. I had slept on a tempur-pedic before and found it hard to turn over. I'm a side sleeper that turns over frequently, so I didn't think that would work for me. The sales person went on about how popular this brand was in Europe etc. Will Sleep Outfitter does not even carry this brand anymore and will not help with a refund or repair for this mattress. I'm extremely disappointed with both companies. warranties don't mean anything for the consumer, so don't let that be a reason to purchase a mattress. this mattress has a 25 year warranty yet I can no longer sleep on my 1,900.00 mattress.
