Same problem as others with my king size Invite model. Back hurts ever night, get knots in my upper back, hard to get out of the bed, or even roll over without pain. We even exchanged the topper for one more firm but that didn't help either. I sleep on a Simmons Beautyrest most of the week while working out of town with no problems or discomfort. I actually went to purchase a Simmons when the store owner talked me into the Pure Bliss. Mine is 15 months old and I've been unhappy the entire time. Guess I'm going to have to chunk it, open the wallet and get another Simmons.
I had insomnia problems, waking up hot, and tossing/turning due to pressure points. I am finally sleeping through the night again. I am chemically sensitive and the Talalay Latex is so breathable, allowing for energy circulation and venting, and the materials do not bother my skin.
When searching for the perfect bed, I looked high and low. I owned a TempurPedic for almost 10 years and was fairly satisfied except for the heat factor and eventually the crater-like body impressions. With all there is to learn about mattresses on the internet- it lead me to researching a Latex mattress. I did not want to sleep in a heat-trap nor did I want to spend $1000's on a nice mattress to have it sagging in 8-10 years. I found a lot of varying opinions on Latex VS Memory Foam. Latex got better reviews as a whole while comparing nearly the same on price VS Higher End Tempurpedic, Sealy, and Simmons models. I shopped at various chain and local stores, laying on some of each. I asked many questions to the retail sales associates and store manager's. What I found is that the local stores typically had a lot more knowledge than the scripts that it felt like the large chain stores read from. I was looking for unbiased opinion rather than pushing towards the most expensive items in the store. I ultimately ended up liking the ALL-LATEX Nutrition from LatexBliss. I am a researcher and a tough customer. I spoke with the store manager at Wildcat Mattress several times before making my decision. He worked out a nice package deal for me to get the mattress set, 2 latex down pillows, a bamboo mattress protector, and (free) delivery for the price other retailers were trying to sell me the mattress-only for. All of my questions were answered about the Latex process, any chemicals that were used in the manufacturing process, when and where my mattress would be coming from, and in-depth about the company background. With all this being said, it made me feel very comfortable making the purchase. It took me a few nights to get used sleeping on a surface that did not sag. At first, I thought that I may have made a mistake. But upon sleeping on the bed for a few weeks, I noticed a more restorative sleep. I was waking up less do to pain and pressure in my lower back and shoulders and also sleeping much cooler. I could not be happier with my Latex mattress and I promised the young man at Wildcat Mattress I would rate and review their service and latex products on multiple sites as well as to friends and family if his advice on mattress selection paid off. It truly HAS paid off and I cannot thank him enough. No signs of sagging after 3 months, and I am sleeping great. I feel that latex is the way to go after sleeping on both!
Excellent support with great conformability and soft comfort. No odor like from memory foam. I grew up as a child on a Sealy latex bed in the 1950's and loved it. I am not sure why, other than higher cost, why latex beds are not more widely marketed. Laying in this bed you feel virtually "weightless". Coil springs apply pressure, and memory foam sleeps hot, and I find it hard to rollover. Manufacturer has 24 hour customer service phone line for questions or issues. I don't know of any other mattress manufacturer that is that accessible. The Beautiful is comfortable as is, but I like having a 3 inch quick response mattress topper on it for additional softness.
I am currently 9 months pregnant and have been sleeping in my pure latex bliss for the last 4 months. I am still able to sleep peacefully all night long with no hip or leg pain. That's saying something when I woke up several times a night due to hip and leg discomfort with my 2 previous pregnancies. I cannot recommend the pure latex bliss Nutrition mattress enough. You will not be disappointed!
We have tried a lot of mattress types over the years, but only became aware of latex recently. My wife has chronic pain and spends a lot of time in bed, so the decision of a new mattress was huge for us. We did not think the perfect combination of firmness and softness could be found until we tried the firmest of the Pure Latex Bliss nature line (Pamper) with their 3 inch topper. We could not believe how good it felt in the store, and could not be happier with the choice now that we have slept on it for over a month. I am falling asleep faster and sleeping better through the night. It has not been a miracle cure for my wife, but she definitely feels better and some hip and leg pain she had experienced on our old mattress is completely gone. We fully recommend this mattress, but suggest you take time on different configurations because there are a lot choices and they all feel slightly different.
It is a cool (temperature) bed and it took a little getting used to, but we also came from a heated waterbed to this. We are in Florida, so the coolness is appreciated. We added the 3" topper for comfort (4" was too soft). Without the topper it was a medium firmness. Our king size has the massage/vibration and adjustable options in the bed frame. We bought this right before I found out I was pregnant and the massage feature was awesome! The adjustable (think Craftmatic) feature was helpful for my swollen ankles-I could use the zero gravity position to take the weight off of them. My husband is 6'5" and can just about stretch out all of the way. With the topper the mattress was 15" deep. We had a little bit of a problem finding flannel sheets (we love the softness), but were able to find an amazing set from LL Bean. It is VERY heavy. Keep in mind it is a solid piece of rubber. It takes a MINIMUM of two strong men to move it; three is really what you need. Making small adjustments to line it up on the bed frame is difficult because of the weight. You can sit on the edges without sliding off (like foam or soft side waterbeds). You won't feel someone get in and out of it while you are sleeping (which I do a lot of because of our newborn).
We had an 8-yr old mattress. It was expensive when new, but had totally broken down recently. I was waking up with back and shoulder pain. A long, hard day can bring that on, but you're not supposed to wake up that way! Time for a change.
Within just a few nights on this bed, all that pain disappeared. It's very supportive, and perhaps my favorite aspect, very consistent. You don't get fooled by that initial "Oh, that feels good"-relief, only to have the mattress keep sinking and shifting all night. I've noticed when I wake up, it feels just like those first few minutes from the night before. I love it!
Make sure to spend time when you are looking at mattresses. Really lay on the mattress before you bring it home. After doing this, we really noticed the difference in the comfort of a Pure LatexBliss mattress. It is incredible. You feel like you are floating. The mattress supports your body so well. My arms no longer fall asleep and my body no longer aches when I wake up. I finally feel fully rested. No more tossing and turning. I look forward to crawling into bed at night.
The mattress is very comfortable and my husband loves it. However I've started to have outbreaks of hives (red itchy bumps in torso and neck area) and am wondering whether I have a latex allergy. I've never had them before and they only started to occur after sleeping on the mattress for a few weeks. We have a bliss pillow too.
Latex is a topical allergy, which means your skin has to come into direct contact with latex to react to it if you have an allergy. Between your body and the latex in your mattress is typically your sleepwear, a fitted sheet, a mattress protector, the zippered cover of the mattress, and the fire retardant layer.
You should see your doctor to see what your reaction is to. Sleeping on a latex mattress and having a reaction to a latex allergy is not likely. We do always recommend people who have a latex allergy not take the zippered cover off their mattress or pillow or topper to launder them. When these covers are removed the latex is "touchable."
I purchased a queen Pure LatexBliss set from a local store and unfortunately my Pure LatexBliss mattress set squeaks very loudly waking me up at night! It squeaked the very first moment when I laid on it, as well as when I moved around at night causing me to wake up. The local store was kind enough to give me a replacement box spring (the source of the squeak) the next day. Unfortunately the replacement exhibited the same behavior. The store I made the purchase from suggested I keep it for a week to see if it would settle. Unfortunately after more than a week later it still squeaks keeping me up at night. I am very sensitive to sound and not used to a bed that squeaks. My old one did not do this, I don't know why a new one I paid this much money for should.
More than a week later I am still extremely disappointed about my overall experience with my Pure LatexBliss mattress set as the squeaky bed wakes me up at night. The mattress itself seems fine so far however the foundations that are sold by Pure LatexBliss (which are not made by them) are of extremely poor quality. Not only does it squeak, but the slats are more than 6" apart covered with a top sheet of cheap cardboard. The thin bottom cover of the foundation is already coming apart as it is cheaply attached to the frame. I would have never purchased the box if I knew it would squeak or be this cheaply constructed. The box did not squeak in the store so I feel the one I actually purchase should not either.
I have contacted Pure LateBliss via email voicing my discontent about the squeaks and they have simply stated that they would like the someone to examine the bed to ensure it was "set up correctly". I have ensured that my mattress set has been "set up correctly" by the guys who delivered it. Box goes on frame, mattress goes on box. Pretty easy I think. So I can't help but feel that Pure LatexBliss is punting on my concern. As such I cannot recommend a Pure LatexBliss mattress set to others. It is unfortunate that Pure LatexBliss charges so much for their product, but they give you such a poor quality foundation that detracts from any of the benefits of the talaly latex mattress that comes with it.
Sold under the impression it was ok for me; I have had back surgery & only wiegh 113..if she had said this is a FIRM mattress-I would have declined. I spent all my money-hoping this would be my last mattress (69 yrs old) Dealer has been very cold, and never did anything except offer a $50 discount on topper. Right now I just want to talk to the C.E.O of PLB and ask that it be removed-free and all my money back!!! Pure Latex is way-over-rated. I have backaches every morning. Foundation very cheap, they tore a hold in a corner and said they would replace it (when I ordered a topper!) well, now they want to charge me to make that exchange. Ludecrous service!!!
I am sorry you are having problems. If you will call our customer care staff (404-260-7421 extension 1) and let them know your name and contact information and then who you bought your mattress from, we will certainly call your retailer and see what they can do for you and find out more about the mattress. If there is anything wrong with your mattress from a manufacturing standpoint, it will be covered under your warranty.
I am happy to talk to you once I can find out more about your situation from your sales person and the store owner.
I know you are upset with the service you have had from your retailer and although you have rated that as a con to our brand, we will try our best to see what we can do to help you.
Our mattress was so hard when it arrived. The first few days left me with back spasms. We were constantly told by everyone at store and manufacturer to allow for a break in period. Keep in mind no one tells you this before you purchase this most expensive mattress. This is our third mattress purchase together and we've never had such a "break in" period. Read on line where people had actually walked the whole mattress over to soften it up. We have slept on it for 6 weeks now. The store wouldn't loan us a topper and the only way I've stopped myself from sleeping on the sofa is by using a feather bed topper we had, its only a twin unfortunately for my husband. After some time it improved but only slightly. My biggest complaint ( & I really hate to complain- we expected to love it, the showroom model was so good) is that we mentioned right from the first week that the mattress height was only 9" 3/8, its supposed to add up to 10" with the various comfort layers. Makes sense to me that this could be affecting our comfort. I think they must get this a lot which is why they sell the topper and we were encourage to buy one, a mere $500 more! We spent more than our limit on this mattress in the first place hoping that it was worth the investment for a long lasting mattress. With little help from store or manufacturer I am feeling at a total loss and out a great deal of money. Buyer be ware. Although truthfully with mattress purchases they pretty much got you.
I know you have commented on our Facebook page as well as been in contact with our customer service staff several times earlier in the month. Let me offer apologies for your inconvenience on my behalf as well.
If your mattress is not the right height, it may be the wrong model and was returned by your retailer for the correct model. This could have been why it is too firm as well.
We strive to deliver A+ quality mattresses, pillows, and customer service. If the mattress you bought is too short, doesn't feel right or has any other issue, it should have been returned. That was not a problem. It is possible that we mislabeled your mattress with the wrong name, did not build it correctly, or something else may have happened. This does not happen regularly but if it happened to you we sincerely apologize.
Our representative has contacted your retailer, we have communicated to you on email through customer care, on Facebook and now on Goodbed.com. I know you have returned your mattress so I am confused at how you claim we have been little assistance to you, but you certainly have that right to your opinion.
This bed does not provide good back support or any body support at all. It's way too mushy and seems to be getting mushier every night. We will definitely replace it. Latex beds are overrated. Don't believe all of the hype.
Please call our customer care staff at 404.260.7421 extension 1. What you are describing is not common to latex and I am sorry you are having a problem. We will be sure to have your retailer inspect it and replace it.
