Bottom line. Premium mattresses are NOT worth the money. I am tired of waking up sore. I did not wake up sore on my Sealy. But after trying two different Premium mattress (Tempurdedic and Pure Bliss Latex), I wake up most mornings with sore upper back muscles. WG and R sales people convinced me that a softer, premium mattress was the way to go. IT was a BIG MISTAKE-- not worth the almost $4,000 I paid. DO NOT make the same mistake I did. You can spend at least half as much and be more comfortable.

Can a mattress be both too soft and too firm at the same time? It appears so.

From the very day that my PLB mattress arrived, things did not seem "right." When laying on either the left or right side of the bed, I had the sensation of being on top of a "ridge" which pushed me off to the center of the mattress. The center of the mattress felt and feels noticeably softer than the sides, particularly where the hips and behind come to rest. This results in the hips sinking too deeply into the soft surface latex layers, while the full force of the rest of the latex pushes back into the lower back. The result after a night's sleep was nothing short of agony (the too soft but also too firm effect). Very painful for me, but lucrative for my massage therapist and chiropractor.

It was puzzling that such a problem could exist with a brand new mattress, but then I looked at the tag and saw that it was made in September of last year, which makes me wonder if some other lucky person was experiencing bliss on this bed before me, particularly with the soft center spot.

I looked at the warranty and noted that 3/4 inch depression is considered a defect (by industry standards, this is rather generous). Since there is no such depression that I can detect, I did not make a warranty claim. Again, what I noticed was a tangible softness to the center when compared to the sides of the bed. This became particularly clear when just pushing on it. The center was far more pliable than the sides. I did ask the company for help (as two other posters here did, with apparent success), but to no avail. I thought the problem could be alleviated if the problematic mattress was replaced with a new firmer model from the Latex Bliss line. I was told that if I paid even more money, I could have the privilege of switching to their entry level latex model. As my grandfather used to tell me: "don't throw good money after bad."

The end result of all of this is that I am sleeping on a $50 Coleman air mattress, as I simply could no longer take the agony of the PLB bed.
It is really too bad. Maybe I got a lemon? Maybe latex beds are not for me? Maybe I picked the wrong model? Those are a lot of "maybes" for a $2,000 + bed. Tempurpedic answers these "maybes" with a satisfaction guaranteed 90 day trial. It is unfortunate that PLB won't offer something similar, particularly since that's the market segment they are apparently attempting to reach into.

A wise person once told me, "You can always make a mattress softer, but you can never make it firmer." Therefore, I intentionally bought this mattress knowing I might prefer a bit more cushioning in the long run. But I'm telling you, the support of this mattress is amazing! For the first time in years I am waking up without back pain!

I've slept on this mattress now for only 5 nights, but I love it more and more as each night passes. In fact, a windstorm kept waking me up the other night, and every time I awoke I was filled with thoughts of , "God, I love this bed"

I can't explain exactly why this bed is so comfortable. I suppose it's a combination of great support with some surface give. I think I will eventually buy the mattress topper because I think I can cushion the surface some more without compromising on support.

I will never, ever, ever sleep on anything but latex again. Truly a fantastic sleeping surface! I'm sure once I add the mattress topper my opinion will elevate to 5+ stars! 

I hope to come back in a year and be able to report back with the same satisfaction!

After years of trying I finally convinced my husband to purchase a latex bed and to spend a little bit more money for a really good bed. I researched everything I could find i.e. online, blogs, reviews. I found LatexBliss at our local retailer, WG&R. I felt more comfortable purchasing locally than online and I like the idea of getting to lie down on the bed. It seemed comfortable with a topper on it.  Although I know you can't tell if you like a mattress just by trying it out for 15 minutes. I asked for literature but they didn't have any. I called LatexBliss but no answer to phone calls so I emailed. Michelle returned my emails and gave some ILD numbers. We purchased the 3" topper for the Pamper model.  We like firm with some cushioning. A week went by and I felt like I was bottoming out. The store took back the topper with a 10% penalty. Michelle from cust. service that they carry a higher ILD topper, our store couldn't get it. I ordered a very expensive topper online, it was way too soft and while sleeping my spine alignment was off. Now I don't know what to do. I feel like crying, I am in so much pain and I don't want to go to bed.  It has been 3 weeks now. I can do a one time exchange at WG&R (after 30 days of sleeping on the bed, but I can't sleep on that mattress anymore so I have another week before I can even think about exchange) with a 10% penalty but cannot get money back. If I step up to next model (which I would like to do, perhaps with 2" topper)I have to pay the penalty and pay more money for the upgrade plus I don't get the great sale price.  I really want a latex bed because of the longevity of the mattress and it's resilience. I know LatexBliss is a reputable company, I just don't know what I should do or how I can afford to take the loss.  My old bed is gone so now I don't have anything else to sleep on and the stress of this is killing me. I have one more chance to choose the right bed from our local company and I am afraid to do it for fear I will choose the wrong one and be more miserable.

We were tired of sleeping on the standard pocketed coil mattress, and wanted something more uplifting. So we decided to drive and check out the new Latex Bliss line we have been hearing so much about. And low and behold we left with our new bed that day, we didn't even continue looking after we laid on the Nature.
We will never sleep on another bed again!

I am an active 40 year old male. Pre-Bliss bed, I always thought my knees were supposed to hurt, when walking down the steps to start my mornings. I also thought, that being 40 years of age meant I was supposed to feel tired.
WOW, was I wrong. 3 days after sleeping on the Beautiful has changed how I feel in the morning.
Don't get me wrong, I am not saying that this bed is the 8th natural wonder of the world, but I am stating that I never knew a mattress could make such a difference in my well being.

I've been a problem sleeper 4 as long as I can remember! BUT....NO MORE! I use to wake up, walk about, flop all over. Now, I go to bed.....to sleep! No more body parts hurting, no more waking up with arm asleep......It is wonderful! Finally a bed that helps me sleep and feel rejuvenated in the morning!! Thank-you Pure Latex Bliss!!!!

It supports every part of our bodies, especially our backs. It is easy to feel completely relaxed when ever we lay down. I never realized how much effort it took to roll over till we had this bed. Now any movement is easy and comfortable. My husband used to toss all through the night, but he is much more restful now. For the first time we actually look forward to going to bed because we know we will be so comfortable. I also like how it looks so flat after I make the bed. There are also no more allergic reactions. All done.

This bed is so comfortable. I feel so relaxed. I like to sit in it. I like to sleep in it. I spend a lot of time hanging out in bed and it is awesome. I hate getting out of it in the morning. (It's pretty too) REST REST REST

Have slept on it for 5 weeks now and can barely move when I first get up. Have never experienced such back pain. Luckily we put our old mattress in the guest room and I plan to sleep there. Salesgirl suggested adding a foam memory topper to it. After what we paid, I shouldn't have to pay for something else to make it more comfortable. Maybe she should have just sold us a memory foam mattress!!

After years of interrupted sleep due to arms falling asleep, shoulder, hip and neck pain, bought a Pure LatexBLISS mattress at Mattress X-press and I am so glad I did. My wife was hesitant due to the higher cost of Latex but she finally relented. She told me this morning just how comfortable our mattress is. I actually look forward to bedtime now and awake pain free. First time in years is since I bought this mattress and my old mattress was less than 4 years old. People, this is the way to go! I now have a platform bed and don't need the boxspring although used it for the first couple weeks. The Latex mattress feels the same either way. Just pure comfort.
