NEW ON MARKET = GREAT VALUE

After sleeping on the SleepEZ Select Comfort hybrid queen latex mattress (i.e., this is a relatively new mattress) for about 45 nights, I rate this mattress in the top tier of hybrid mattresses I have seen, reviewed or purchased, whether a bed in a box or in a retail store. Here are some of my observations: • Workmanship. Of the highest quality natural materials and, at about 150 lbs., 14” high, it is much more substantial than any hybrid I have seen/tested/purchased. • Versatility. A two-sided latex mattress; one side has three inches of softer latex, while the other side has two inches of more firm latex. Not only are there two sleep alternatives, but e.g. if the softer side is too soft and the more firm is too firm, I could envision placing a soft latex topper on the firm side. For most people, the box that it comes in is too heavy for one person, but once the compressed mattress is placed on your foundation, the rest is a piece of cake. • Latex may not be for everyone, but if you like a little bounce, the ability to roll over and change positions, the ability to sink into your mattress but not be stuck, you may be a good candidate for this type of hybrid latex mattress. In fact, for me, I need sufficient back support and more importantly as a side sleeper, I need pressure relief. The support comes from the quantum edge individually pocketed coils and the pressure relief comes from the latex, again without sinking into the mattress too much. Lastly, it sleeps cool due to the natural materials and construction.

Relief is spelled SLEEP EZ

I ordered this mattress after MUCH research. Our prior 8 yo memory foam mattress began to feel like we were sleeping in a sweaty bucket. We selected the custom split CalKing; allowing my partner and I to customize the firmness Based on our height, weight and sleeping position. 1 day before delivery I realized the CalKing would not fit on our existing foundation. Roger, at Sleep EZ cheerfully managed to intercept FedX and get it turned around, saving me the expense and hassle of returning it. At the same time he ordered the correct size, moved us up to the top of a long shipping list of Black Friday orders, getting it to us in 4 days. It came with a beautiful organic cotton quilted mattress cover that holds all the layers snugly together (can’t tell there is a split in the middle), 2 fabulous latex foam king size pillows with zip off covers, and a waterproof terry cloth protector! We’ve had it only three nights but both of us are sleeping well (my back and neck aches much improved and my partner’s night sweats appear to have stopped). I highly recommend this product and this company!!

A hot bed that did't last

I've only had this bed for a year and it already had a serious divot in the middle. It's a very hot bed. We bought a cooling topper, but that only helps a little. It's difficult keeping comfortable all night long since you're sweating from the bed side and freezing from the blanket side, because if you try to keep warm with blankets you overheat even more so. I thought I would get more than one year from a $600 mattress. I even had to invest in a $200 custom made base for this mattress. I anticipate that I'll end up going back to a traditional bed ....sooner than I thought.

Canoeing

We’ve hadn’t this mattress for 8 years now and we are in the market for a new mattress. Initially we had to modify our bed frame as it was slatted and the mattress sagged through the slats, all cured with a piece of plywood over the slats. However, fast forward to now and the mattress is canoeing. There’s a hump between us. We’ve routinely flipped the mattress and we weigh 125 and 160 lbs respectively so it’s not like we are heavy people. Also, we’ve had to add mattress pads since our sweat seeped through the sheets and stained the latex. Also, we are on our second cover since the first one shrunk when I washed it even though I did so exactly as they recommended.

Great Product at a Great Value

y experience with Sleep EZ has been so far terrific.I shopped and compared. I was sold on the benefits of natural latex. The staff here are not on commission so there's no hard sell whatsoever. In fact, I was originally directed to a lower cost option. Everyone has been most patient and pleasant. Sleep EZ offers a flexible (i.e., you have choices on features and spec's), quality product at a great value. Customer service has been excellent. I just swapped out a layer (I went firmer on the middle layer). No hassles. To the contrary. They made the process EZ! Coincidentally, we vacationed in Scottsdale during spring training and stopped by the showroom. While it was a great opportunity to "kick the tires," today buying on the internet is becoming pretty routine. The staff will help walk you through the process and answer your questions. Delivery was super-quick too.

Saved Me From Doctor visits and Physical Therapy Weekly

I easily paid ten times the cost of this mattress trying to find back pain relief from herniated disks. The doctors wanted to do surgery everyone had a different solution that did not work and I knew that the mattress that I was sleeping at the time definitely was not helping as I would get stuck in the memory foam and unable to move and getting my back locked up more and more. I made a purchase of a latex mattress with the help of the staff at SleepEZ and within 3 nights I noticed such an incredible turn in my pain that it's all most unbelievable. I haven't need to visit my pain management specialist in over 6 months!!

Layer Roulette

Inconsistent feel between each side with same latex configuration. Two firm layers have different support comfort. If you get the configuration right for your shoulders it's too soft for your lower back. Configurating your comfort is even more difficult as the latex ages. It's like playing Jeopardy with your sleep. Where is Alex Trebek when you need him?

worst purchase I've ever made

I have had the Sleep Ez mattress for 8 months or so. While Shawn was very helpful and patient and wound up going over and above in efforts to help me make this mattress work, I have not had one good night's rest since I've had it. I have tried literally everything and now I will have to invest another 2k or so for another, most likely memory foam. The various layers I tried in all manner of arrangements offered either support OR pressure point relief, but never both. I now have both more severe pain than I've ever had as well as numbness etc. Before I bought this mattress--after a long day of hiking or house/yard work and my back was aching I could rest in bed or sleep over night and the pain would be gone in the a.m.. Now I can go to bed with a perfectly pain free back after yoga, massage, hot tub or whatever and wake up feeling like I've been hit by a truck. The only reason I got rid of my old mattress was that it didn't work for both me and my boyfriend and I chose a laytex trying to avoid VOCs. I thoroughly regret this purchase and would caution anyone with both back pain and pressure point issues to reconsider a memory foam (there are now a couple manufactured with no VOCs). Just a note: it is 4:30 in the morning--another sleepless night. I would give it zero stars if that was possible.

You won't find better service anywhere!

I have had my latex mattress from Sleep Ez for over two years now. When I was selecting my mattress, their rep (one of the owners)spent a very long time on the phone with me helping me make the best choice for my needs. He promised I could return any part of the order that did not work for me. When it arrived and I tried it, it was too soft. I called and he readily offered, "Sent one layer back for a full refund". I did and they gave me the refund. 2 layers instead of three was perfect for me. I found however that the cover was sloppy and let the two split top halves of latex spread causing a full length gap between them - "the dreaded crack". I assumed there was nothing the company would do as it was what I ordered afterall, so idid not contact them. Over the next 2 years, my frustration and dissatisfaction voer this problem grew and I decided to write a review about it . It occurred to me that in fairness I should contact the company before I did that. Shaun (family member owners) who helped me with my original order said "You should have called us right away! We will alter the cover for free and ship it back to you for free, just send it to us". I did, the altered it the same day they received it and shipped it out the same day! Visually, you cannot tell it has been altered at all and now it works perfectly. When or where has ANYONE provided customer service so extraordinary in the past 20 years?! ps: I am just a customer in California, not affiliated with the company in any way.
