Mattress is fine if I get out of bed right after waking up but if I lie in bed even for just 20minutes then I end up with a sore back. I called Sealy to see if they had any recommendations multiple times and never got a call back so am very disappointed with customer service.
Sadly, this is the 2nd iComfort mattress we have had in 5 years. First one broke down considerably on the sides and body depressions. This one has body depressions and a hump developed in the middle. Coolness seems to be fine. Response to warranty when replacing the first mattress was quick and easy. Have not yet contacted them about the 2nd mattress. During the time with this mattress, both husband and myself have developed hip and shoulder pain. To the point of medical treatment. Didn't really realize it was the mattress until we replaced it with a hybrid...not made by iComfort. We are steadily overcoming aches and pains. Very unhappy with the iComfort and will never get another.
We bought this mattress 3 years ago and I'm very unhappy with the bed. I wasn't very satisfied right away, but I thought that my body would adjust to a foam mattress eventually. I should have returned the bed right away. When I first got the mattress, my hips would hurt; although this has since gone away.
When you first lay down in the bed it feels nice, but the foam will heat up from your body heat and then the foam really wraps around your body. This makes my shoulders round towards the front of my body (back sleeper) and I have upper back pain when I get up. I frequently wake up at night because the mattress under me has heated up so much that I'm forced to adjust my position and lay on my side just to cool off my back. After that, my arm and shoulder start to hurt.
Finally, the bounce factor is completely gone. Read into that for purposes other than sleeping. This bed was so expensive it breaks my heart that after 3 years, I'm shopping for a new bed and getting an interspring mattress only. No more foam.

I tried the cool memory foam mattress, Great except after 2 mo of using it I began a sever allergy to it, Appears there are a lot of different chemicals in these foams. My dog even had two seizures which she never had before, can't confirm the mattress did it, however quite coincidental timing never had them before. Online lots of gel foam complaints.

Have been mattress shopping for a while with bad results tried beautyrest for 30 days. After a lot of pain my sister recommended the icomfort I love love love this bed if I could stay in it full time I would.I am a side sleeper who loves a soft mattress and have had several neck surgeries.

I was impressed with the support but comfort at the same time. Slightly worried about heat distribution, but after about 10 minutes in the bed, heat starts dispersing and not a factor. I love this mattress, I wake up feeling rested and without the aches and pain I used to have. With a partner, virtually no disturbance when getting up during the night. I am a side sleeper and very happy at the comfort level experienced.

A month after buying this mattress, I was having to grab the edge and pull myself out of the bowl. My cat had clawed the mattress in one spot, so Macy's wouldn't take it back. If the mattress stayed how it is when I first lay on it, it would be fine. But as it warms up, the middle caves in. It got to where I dreaded going to bed, but I paid a lot for the mattress and it was new. I put two camping mats on top of the mattress, then a topper, then a mattress pad, that kept enough body heat off it to make it bearable. Finally got a 2" latex topper and now I have to use a step stool to get in bed, but at least it's comfortable enough to sleep and not wake up hurting.

Immediately upon sleeping in this mattress we contacted the manufacturer to report a defect. They sent someone out with a string and ruler. Worst B.S. customer support EVER. To this day, I can set a tennis ball on the mattress and it rolls off the bed. I have even rolled off the bed in my sleep. I wouldn't wish this mattress on a Gitmo prisoner as it would be torture. I will never, EVER purchase another Serta mattress again. Completely disappointed.
