Purchased this bed for one, only I have slept on it...in less than 6 months there was a pit, yes that's right a pit, as in a hole in the mattress. When I wanted to turn over, move slightly to the center of mattress I had to virtually roll uphill. I only weigh 130 lbs, female. Waited thinking the pillow top filling would settle and did not complain until 6 more months. Got this song and dance from Michaelis Mattress Company that they would need to come out and measure the depth of the pit...I agreed and then they changed their mind saying that Sealy would just replace it which lead me to believe that I was not the only buyer with this same complaint. Well, it took 5 phone calls and several promises from Michaelis of a delivery date and on the last promise and date given of deliver of new mattress I was told there would be a $70.00 s/h charge....also was told that I would get a current model, a 2014.....I make a huge stink about the Sealy Mfg. and the Michaelis Mattress Co. getting on T.V. and stating how they deliver same day as sale and that they stand behind their products....Well, I got a new 2014 (they say) delivered without my paying the $70.00 s/h since I made a huge stink about it this past weekend, on Aug. 10, 2013. I, the only one to sleep on this new model Covedale Pillow Top for the past 4 nights am already beginning to see a dip in the mattress top....looks really bad when the bed is made with comforter pulled straight and tight and I can see the dip/pit/hole and also sleep in this hole....it is a good thing only that I am not one that sleeps all over a bed. I do not like sleeping in a hole either....WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND a SEALY PILLO TOP....this could just be a feature of the pillow top and if so, I do NOT like it and will go back to my much less expensive, locally made mattress as I have always done in the past....may end up donating this expensive one to a shelter/charity if they will accept it and go get the cheaper one that was more comfortable and never had hole/dips in them...NERVER listen to a sales pitch, always go to review sites and check out what others have experienced with their products...
I bought this mattress a little over a year ago and its like crawling into a coffin. The edges are still holding up but where my husband and I lay down, there are two huge pits. We both work out regularly and each weigh 130 lbs and 190 lbs. DO NOT BUY THIS MATTRESS. We regret ever throwing out the mattress we had for eight years. It was perfectly fine but were told mattresses need to be replaced every 8 years or so. Complete fail......

Surface integrity lost in less than 7 months, also too Hot!
Having purchased this mattress for medical reasons, I wish I had bought a real tempurpedic.
The bed lost it's comfort and quality within 8 weeks of delivery. The surface was also "HOT" until it was winter outside.Sealy won't honor warranty on a defective bed and now the bed is triggering chronic neuropathy pain daily.
A real bummer after surviving cancer twice to spend $2,000 on a mattress that has become an expensive torture device! Don't Buy this "wannabe bed"!!!! "Warning Will Robinson, Warning!"
We haven't had the mattress for long but so far, we love it! Overall, it's a comfortable bed for any sleep position...although, I would say that when I sleep on my back, it's the most heavenly feeling. I used to wake up with an aching back but since having this mattress, that's not the case anymore. The worst part about having this mattress? I used to have no problem getting up in the morning to exercise...but now, all I want to do is stay in bed and enjoy it.
It seems to be well-made, has a great warranty, and I'm predicting many years of great sleep!

Horrible bed and sealy does not stand by their products
We had a similar mattress for about 8 years. Sealy replaced it with this comparable model under our ten year warranty. We were thrilled. The new mattress is less then 3 months old and has depressions in it almost as bad as our 8 year old previous mattress. Sealy had an inspector come out to look at the new mattress and will not replace it because the indentations are just short of 1.5 inches. This is after less then three months of use. This new mattress is terrible. Sealy should be embarrassed that their product is of such poor quality. They should also stand by their mattresses and replace this one. We will never buy another of their products or their other brands.

Not good for a side or belly sleeper or back sleeper
I wake up each morning for past few years with sore hips/arms saying I need a new mattress. A few years ago, I did put a pillow topper on mattress and it helped a little. But, can still see the sag in middle and now my bed is too high. Bought mattress in 2005 and started sagging in the first couple years. It is almost unbearable now in 2013. Bought for about $500 with a 10 year warranty- whatever that means.
This mattress was my first big grown up purchase, besides my car.
It replaced a king koil pillow top type mattress.
It was love at first lay.
It is firm, so it's very supportive. But at the same time, you sort of just melt into the mattress.
First few months were great.... By 12 months we were complaining about not sleeping well......now 18 months and we aren't sleeping at all. Our low backs are screaming after an hour in bed !!!! Something seriously wrong with theses beds!!! DON'T BUY SEALY!!!!!
