Don't be fooled by the "Plush" in the name. There may be some soft top to this mattress, but the underlying support system is WAY too firm. I am surprised that I am saying this because I have had no problem sleeping on floors when necessary or camping on solid ground. By a long shot (and I have slept on many mattresses in many parts of the world), this has to be THE MOST UNCOMFORTABLE bed I have ever slept on (or attempted to...) The other side of the coin is that if you want an incredibly firm mattress that doesn't conform much to your body, you've found a good option here. Buyer beware.
This is the absolute WORST mattress that I have ever owned, and was not cheap either. It sinks in the area where you lay and the outer area is the only part that stays firm. I only weigh 115 lbs and am the only person to ever sleep in this bed. Just horrible!
Within two years of purchase, the mattress has sagged at some places and curled up at others. The manufacturer says they can not do anything if it has sagged less than 1.5 inches and curling up is not a defect. ridiculous definitions that are not clarified upfront

We hate this mattress. This is the second one. We exchanged the first one as it went bad. Now we need a different kind of mattress as this one kills our joints and back. We cannot get a good night's sleep on it.

We bought an awesome Beautyrest from Sit and Sleep last year. It's called the Gwynn Pillow Top and it suits both me and my husband. It's firm enough for his needs, but the pillow top makes it soft enough to be comfortable for me. After 16 months, it shows no sign of wear or sagging. We're still as pleased with it now as we were when it was delivered.

The pillowtop foam became compressed, so we were each lying in a hole, with a ridge between the two of you. It's too soft and gave us backaches. Additionally the whole mattress began to arc down on one side, apparently unable to handle my husband's 230 pounds. This all took 5-6 months, by which time all bets were off with the Macy's guarantee. Simmons' warranty is worthless. We have actually turned it upside down and are sleeping on it that way, because we can't afford another mattress so soon. Now I have the hill on the side, but it's recovering with less weight, and my husband is sleeping more in the middle. Our backs are better, but come on, this is outrageous. Never again, Macy's and Simmons!

We've had to replace this twice already mattress within 4 months of sleeping on it because the top layer of material became detached from the rest of the mattress resulting is lumps all over the bed. Simmons replaced it the first two times but now refuses stating insufficient bed frame support. 1) it's not sagging it's bubbling 2) then why cover it the first two times?
Mattress Warehouse won't refund us our money so now we are stuck with terrible bed. So unhappy! Buyer beware!

I am now on my second bed in 7 years. The NXG 250 Simmons Bed. The sidewalls fail. They cave in. Both beds have done this within the first three years. It only happens on the left side. I only weight 204 so it's not like a weight issue.
So disappointed. It was over our budget but we felt that it was worth the expense if it would be comfortable and afford us good rest. Ten months later we have two "ruts," one on each side of the bed. Yes, the mattress and box spring are supported on bed frame. We purchased an inexpensive Beautyrest Classic set over four years ago for $400 at Metro Mattress and were not surprised that it lasted about a year before sagging occurred. The Kimble Glen was much more expensive and lasted far less than the Classic. With Raymour & Flanigan the Platinum Warranty only covers stains and an exchange within 45 days of purchase. Of note is the fact that we feel Raymour & Flanigan did a bait and switch because the mattress we tried in the showroom was comfortable and provided soft support when we rolled over and laid on our sides. The mattress that was delivered does not.
