My wife is disabled and deals with chronic pain. We purchased the bed for her as it seemed to offer fair support for me as well. For the first 3 years it wasn't bad but wasn't any better than a standard mattress at 1/3 the cost. The 4th year the comfort levels started to decline significantly. In the 5th year I was sleeping in a hole but my wife was still found it helped her with her pain levels. In the 6th year she's sleeping in a hole and allowed me to call in under warranty. I should have done it at the beginning of the 5th year. Wasn't any better than a standard mattress but was 3x the price.

First 6 months great but you can now tell where we sleep.
We bought a bed with slats and I did ask the salesman if this was ok and he said it was.
Just read the terms and conditions of the warranty and realise its easy for them to get out of it.
I went for this mattress as I was concerned about overheating and ok it has been good for this. But I now always wake up with shoulder and muscular back pain. Its difficult to roll over as there is an impression in the mattress. I sometimes even wake up during the night. Never had any problems with my last sprung mattress; just got rid of it due to its age.
Bought this mattress after many years of back pain following sciatica op. What wonderful bids there are on the Dormeo Website, showing the luxurious concept of the different stiffness of the foam springs.
So thought about this mattress and saved up over a couple of years for it ( I paid £1500) in the sales for it.
Will what a load of crap. Slept better on our crappie old sprung dates where the springs clunked and poked you in the back.
This mattress lulls you into a fslse sense of security. Feels really good when you plop ya bum on the edge. But having spent just over a year sleeping on it, I have to say I am so disappointed I wasted my money on it. With no word of a lie I have had no more than 7 nights good sleep on it. I now prefer to sleep on the sofa. So even if you read this and aren't sure how to take a lot of the 1star ratings! For a person to say they did their research on a product (a mattress) to prefer the night sleep on the sofa, has to tell you not to bother with this mattress just in case you too find yourself in same position as I and my wife do. And for the ladies of a certain age! this mattress and its super open sides which allow the lovely fresh air to flow through and help those hot flushes due to the change. Nope really not the case at all. My wife only 45 and starting all that dreadful stuff gets absolutely no benefit from that design at all. Believe me she strips off most nights, giving me the optomisum that my luck might be in. But no its is just so that she can slip on another top, after slinging her sweaty one in the wash basket. And yes that leaves her unhappy and me rolling onto my side to finish off the rest of a really uncomfortable nights sleep. Oh and the ribbed cover on it is bloody uncomfortable as well 👎😣.
We had to return our first Dormeo Octaspring after I spent over a year complaining that something was wrong with it & my hip constantly hurt. Customer Service from the company we bought it from told me to take off the cover - the mattress top was split in several places. This mattress was replaced with the DO 8600 & I can feel the foam 'springs' in many areas making for a lumpy sleep. The top foam layer is just too thin. The new mattress off gassed for a few weeks and has a mildew smell. I wish we stayed with our latex mattress.
I have had six spinal surgeries. In addition, I have been recently diagnosed with an arachnoid cyst spanning four thoracic vertebrae and which inflicts constant pain. I have used Tempurpedic, Sleep Number and other "pedic" mattresses. When the Octaspring 8500 arrived, I had my first pain-free sleep in more than 10 years!
I haven't slept this well in years. I had two mattresses from Kingsdown and they don't compare the Dormeo.
I was choseing between this mattress and one from Tempurpedic. I chose the Dormeo and I'm glad I did.
I would recommend this to anyone.

DO NOT even think about getting one of these beds. We got our bed Jan. 2013 and the trial time was near and my husband said lets just try it a little more. And so a few months later I called to see why this bed was so hard and was told it needs to break in, ok well 11 months later it still never broke in. So I called the customer service AGAIN and they said all we can do is let warranty know and they will get back with you. HA HA. What a JOKE so just kept calling back and I did get a lady who said maybe it is not right side up so to unzip it and let her know what it looked like, WELL we see the "springs" are all the same color, she said I have never had that happen and would contact warranty, well 6 or 7 calls back and over a month and later still NO results from warranty. So after another call telling them to arrange for a pick up b/c I want this out of my house and letting them know I called my CC company I get a call from "warranty" so all she can do is get back with later, I did though get a number to call her so a week later when I did call her and she was still looking into it.(WTF) So a week later when I called again the number is disconnected. This bed and it's service is a BIG jOKE . I am in the process of Gatling to the BBB and the Attorney General BEWARE of this bed.
