Luxi Does NOT honor its return policy

In addition to being charged for pillow that I never received, my wife and I are not satisfied with the mattress and are well within the 100 free trial period. Unfortunately, the company will not respond. Buying a mattress online can be risky move because you have no idea whether you will be happy. I thought I that I would have an opportunity to try and return but the company is not living up to its return policy. Strongly recommend against working this company.

Never received refund after mattress was returned

Our initial interaction with the company was great, but unfortunately the mattress didn't work out for my wife and I (it caused back pain). Our main issue, however, is the fact that the company has still not issued us a refund for the mattress we returned/donated, despite the fact that our refund was "approved" on May 18, 2018. We had multiple email, chat, and phone interactions where we were assured that we would receive our refund. However, we have not heard from the company again since July 2018 despite multiple attempts to contact them. We are still hoping that the company will honor their return policy and their approval of our $1299.99 for the mattress, but are unsure what to do at this point. (Unfortunately we didn't look more deeply into the company's reputation earlier because apparently they have many complaints against them that sound very similar to ours.)

STILL no refund - don't trust the guarantee

I purchased the Luxi 3 in 1 Queen mattress in February of this year and while it was not terrible it was too soft with no edge support and I often woke up with back pain. I tried all three configurations for about a month each and none of them worked for me. That being said, I will say my wife is a side sleeper and she seemed to like it well enough. I contacted Luxi to try and get a refund in May and was diligent in continually contacting them asking what was happening with my refund and when it was coming in. I sent all paperwork whenever they asked for it. I was told multiple times that it was coming or had been sent out but every time I asked for a picture of the check I got no response. I have to assume based on all this that nothing was ever sent out. I was told that the CEO was being copied on one string of emails to make sure my check went out but still nothing came of that. I don't even know why it's a check rather than a refund on the card that I used but at this point I don't care how it comes in, just that I get the refund I'm supposed to get. At this point, I don't know if I'm ever going to get that money. I'm considering taking legal action and seeing if it looks like I can get some kind of return from that after legal fees. BUYER BEWARE - don't get this with the expectation that you can just return it if you don't like it. My experience has been that you won't ever see that refund.

Luxisleep is a scam

The mattress was alright for a couple of months then it started to deteriorate fast. Our shapes were carved into the mattress and it lost form. I contacted luxi for a refund and they put me in contact with the CEO of the company and he tried to convinced me not to return it (no questions asked return policy?). After a lot of talking and emails, they said they were going to take the return and give me the refund. It took about 2 months for the process to be over, find a charity and donate the mattress. After that, no more emails from luxi. Calls unanswered, completely ignored. THIS COMPANY IS A SCAM!!!!!!! ITS BEEN SINCE MAY 28 (3 MONTHS) NO REFUND!!!!! I returned the mattress and gave it to the local charity they selected and gave them the papers !! AVOID AVOID AVOID AVOID!!!!

Poor Quality - Waiting on a Refund

8 months ago I was dealing with David Farley, one of the co-founders of Luxi. With many emails and follow up, he informed me that the mattress we purchased was the old model (can't sleep in the middle of a kind because of the hump created by the "wall" to hold the foam pieces in. Always felt like you would roll of the bed if sleeping on your side. One side of the king size mattress compacted) and if given the opportunity, he would like to send us new foam inserts for the mattress. I was reluctant but agreed to give that chance. Pieces didn't arrive as promised. As soon as I replaced the old pieces with the new, I knew this was an even worse option. I could sit on the edge of the bed and sink down. When laying on the bed my legs couldn't rest on the bed, it was far too soft and this was set on the firm option. After only a month of trying "that's what they like you to do" the one side of the king size mattress was compacted, again! FYI...if you are over 230lbs (I am not) do not buy this mattress, it was not made for you. Informed by Samantha at customer service that the mattress was not made for someone over this weight. After more months of back and forth via email, a mutual resolution of returning the mattress was the best. I submitted all of the paperwork, mattress was donated as suggested by Samantha at customer service...three weeks ago! Their refund policy clearly states that within a week, the purchase price would be refunded to the original form of payment. If the credit card is no longer available, or if requested, a check would be issued and that would delay by another week. Several emails, voicemails and personal voicemail to David Farley's cell phone, I finally receive and email back stating "they don't know what the delay is with accounting issuing a check". Asked why they are issuing a check when it should go back on original form of payment, as of now, I have not received a response. If you feel like taking a chance on bad customer service, mediocre foam mattress, I wish you luck.

don't count on a refund!

I was originally pretty stoked to try out this bed in CALI King as my wife is a firm stomach sleeper, and I'm a medium side and back sleeper. We tried every variation we could but never could find anything that was even tolerable for more than a day or two. and the weird no-go zone in the middle is less than desirable. I asked for a return in the middle of last year and was contacted (after over a month of emails back and forth with customer service) by a gentleman that wanted to try sending us differently configured layer to see if he could make us something that worked. I agreed, however never heard back or received anything from them. So again after phone calls and emails, I finally just asked for a refund. They agreed and I filled out paperwork, set up the donation that they coordinated, and took photos as requested. The Only reply I've gotten from them since february is that the refund is in process. So now I've donated the mattress AND haven't received a refund. Customer service has been nearly non existent since purchase last year. I based my purchase on all of the rave reviews, but I can see no possible way that there are great interactions with LUXI. At least I haven't seen it.

We have sent out a refund check to the customer and could not apologize enough for allowing this delay to frustrate our loyal customer. We have only the intention to take amazing care of every single customer, as we are a hard working family run company that believes in the old-school customer service approach. We pride ourselves on being readily available for all potential and current customers in real-time. We have looked internally as to how it could have been possible for this issue to have fallen through the cracks and we can only apologize and admit the mistake. We have an over 95% success rate with our mattress and this type of feedback is extremely rare. The great majority of our customers prefer the medium firm setting in which the mattress is shipped to your home. Those that prefer a bit more firmness or on the other end increased cushioning are able to adjust the foam to a level that works better for their needs. The adjustability along with the quality of components is what allows Luxi to enjoy such a high success rate.
