Great value

I looked at reviews a lot before buying the iComfort from Serta ... We paid about 1k for a king size and I'm pretty happy with it. Wife, cats and kids also like it !

Hard on the back

Mattress is fine if I get out of bed right after waking up but if I lie in bed even for just 20minutes then I end up with a sore back. I called Sealy to see if they had any recommendations multiple times and never got a call back so am very disappointed with customer service.

2nd iComfort in 5 years

Sadly, this is the 2nd iComfort mattress we have had in 5 years. First one broke down considerably on the sides and body depressions. This one has body depressions and a hump developed in the middle. Coolness seems to be fine. Response to warranty when replacing the first mattress was quick and easy. Have not yet contacted them about the 2nd mattress. During the time with this mattress, both husband and myself have developed hip and shoulder pain. To the point of medical treatment. Didn't really realize it was the mattress until we replaced it with a hybrid...not made by iComfort. We are steadily overcoming aches and pains. Very unhappy with the iComfort and will never get another.

Not happy 3 years later

We bought this mattress 3 years ago and I'm very unhappy with the bed. I wasn't very satisfied right away, but I thought that my body would adjust to a foam mattress eventually. I should have returned the bed right away. When I first got the mattress, my hips would hurt; although this has since gone away. When you first lay down in the bed it feels nice, but the foam will heat up from your body heat and then the foam really wraps around your body. This makes my shoulders round towards the front of my body (back sleeper) and I have upper back pain when I get up. I frequently wake up at night because the mattress under me has heated up so much that I'm forced to adjust my position and lay on my side just to cool off my back. After that, my arm and shoulder start to hurt. Finally, the bounce factor is completely gone. Read into that for purposes other than sleeping. This bed was so expensive it breaks my heart that after 3 years, I'm shopping for a new bed and getting an interspring mattress only. No more foam.

Don't waste your money!!!

The first mattress I bought at Sears was horrible and they made me keep it for a full 90 days before I could switch it. The sales person went on about how great the iComfort Prodogy Everfeel was so I paid the extra money for it. It was fine for the first year. I've now had it almost 15 months. I started noticing about a month ago that I was in constant pain when I got out of bed. At first I blamed it on my age and on my work outs, not thinking for a minute it could be the mattress. Now I realize its the mattress. The foam has gotten so soft it no longer supports my body. I weigh 150lbs and my boyfriend weighs 200lbs so the problem is not our weight. There is no visible sagging so Sears says the manufacturer can't help me. They made me buy their box spring and mattress pad to honor their warranty but there is still nothing they'll do for me. $2300 for a mattress that lasted one year is ludicrous. Do yourself a favor and stay away from this mattress. I wish I'd read the reviews before I bought it.

Ours lasted about a year. I guess we were lucky.

Reading reviews I guess we got a longer life than many form our mattress. It was almost a year before we realized that we weren't imagining things and there were sink holes , especially on my side . I am 225 pounds so I realize I am overweight but for what we paid this is ridiculous. We have now had the mattress almost 3 years and even our very light weight daughter can't use it because she "gets stuck," The thing I feel the worst about it that the first few months I loved it so much I encouraged a close family member to spend the money to get the same one. He is very slender but now has the same problem as us. This is just wrong. Serta should do something for us! The sink holes are not obvious by looking at it, but you sure feel it as soon as you lay down.

Official Response
Thank you for sharing your experience with us. Your Serta mattress is protected against manufacturing defects, including sagging/body impressions beyond the threshold that determines what is normal wear as outlined in the warranty brochure. Normal wear over time can cause the mattress foams and fibers to feel softer where your body lays night after night versus other areas of the mattress exposed to less wear. You can rotate your mattress to promote even wear. However, if you believe this to be a defect, you can contact your retailer for warranty services. If they are no longer in business or if you have moved, please call us at 1-888-55-SERTA (1-888-557-3782) for further assistance.

Go with your gut

Honestly, I went to the mattress store to purchase the tempurpedic cloud and feel like I was talked out of it and into this one. Salesman didn't have last years cloud on display anymore for me to try out again and said more people return their tempurpedics. Mmm how bout it cost me $300 more than the cloud I wanted (and loved the feel)? I wake up with a sore lower back almost every day. I think 4 months is a good enough "break in" period. I will suffer for a few years and then get what I wanted. It makes me angry that I have to pay a restocking fee. That would be a couple hundred. I sleep on my back, side and stomach so it's not from any certain position I continually sleep in.

Thank you for sharing your experience with us. The iComfort Savant comes in two comfort levels: Cushion Firm + Plush (we are unsure of which one you purchased). The plush is among one of our softer memory foam mattresses, while the Cushion Firm leans toward the firmer side. We see that you believe this mattress to be much too hard. For added comfort, we recommend adding a mattress topper. We also recommend taking note of what you like and dislike about this mattress for the future so you are able to determine which provides you with your ideal comfort.
