We ordered the Leesa after tons of research and review reading on mattresses, we really thought we had found the right mattress. When it arrived, we were a little concerned over the initial firmness of the mattress, however, it does give some after a few seconds of laying on it. After about a week of some soreness common after changing mattresses, we did acclimate some, and felt some relief over our old pillow top. I am a side sleeper with some pretty severe back issues, and although a slight improvement over our old mattress, after about 8 weeks of still waking with a lot of hip pain and numbness, as well as neck and shoulder pain and stiffness, we decided it was not enough improvement to justify keeping it; and wasn't going to work for us no matter how much we had wanted it to. While my husband did not have as severe issues with the mattress as I did, he honestly just found that it was too firm to be comfortable, and also found it to be too hot.
We initiated the return, which I wouldn't exactly call easy, but it could have been much worse. The charity should be picking up tomorrow, if all goes as planned.
Although we found this way too firm, and not very supportive, I know mattresses and sleeping preferences are very personal, and I honestly can see how the Leesa would work for many people, particularly those that would like a firmer medium-firm mattress (like a 7-8 firmness scale). But, if you are a side sleeper, and have any back issues similar to me, or need pressure point relief, this may not be the mattress for you.
After some further research, knowing what was not working with this mattress, we ordered a Layla, which arrived today, and although we haven't slept on it yet, I am very impressed with it after laying on it for a few minutes after setting up. I really hope this is the one, we could really use a good night's sleep with hopefully some pain relief as well. :) We will come back and review after giving it some time. Fingers crossed.

I looked at a lot of reviews before I decided to try the Leesa, it was nice but a bit soft to me and the edge seemed like it didn't have enough support. I upgraded to the Sapira mattress and I'm really happy with it. It was a little firm for the first month or so, but now I think it's been broken in where I love it. Best mattress I've ever slept on. I will say it's a firm mattress, so if you like a soft pillow top then this is not for you, but we love it.
I'm not a big guy at 5'10 and 140lbs and prefer to sleep on my side 90% of the time, so please take that into consideration. Mike was absolutely correct in his review regarding this mattress as it pertains to someone with a side sleep preference and who is around 150lbs or lighter. This mattress gave me really bad shoulder and hip pain, which is to be expected for a side sleeper when a mattress is too firm. Within 5 minutes I immediately felt the pressure points at all areas of contact with the mattress. Me personally I prefer a medium soft mattress and this mattress was definitely medium firm. I also tried the Casper and have the exact same feedback for that mattress as well.
Bottom line if you proportions match mine or if you are a side sleeper/you prefer medium soft and softer, don't even waste your time trying. The environment will thank you for your thoughtfulness and discretion.
Also I gave it about a month and sent it back. Super nice people, but not the right fit for me personally.
Of the hybrids I've shopped around for, this is the perfect mattress for myself. The Sapira has a nice softness due to the layers of foam, though has a nice solid bounce and support due to the springs. The thing I love most about this mattress is how substantial it feels. It's a bit pricier than other bed-in-a-box options, but you really are getting a whole lot more. The construction is very deliberate and it feels like a major upgrade on the type of traditional beds you're probably used to.
Getting off a full foam bed with that rolling out feeling feels very cheap in my opinion. You just have layers of foam that have been piled onto each other. With this construction, you feel a lot of time of effort went into not only its construction, though it's design too. The coils are spaced and sized to maximize stability edge-to-edge. I can see the durability of this being far superior than my previous foam bed I had for about 7 years.
I'm sleeping better, feeling peppier when I wake up, and find myself excited to getting home to my mattress!
Fair warning, the bed feels a lot better night 2 vs night 1 when it's had a chance to fully expand and soften up a tad.
