It started sagging in the first year.

After 8 months it was already sagging in the middle. I wanted a firm mattress. The springs are firm, but the springs conform to my body. Instead of supporting me by my hard body parts, the springs press into my soft parts where I don't want to be supported. I would rather be supported by my tail bone, but the mattress presses into the soft parts of my lower back instead.

Not very supportive

Initially the plush top and support felt good. I slept on it alone for 6 months and when I stayed on the edge the support was fine but if I went toward the middle of the bed it sunk in. I added some support under the frame and this helped a little but the bed still sagged toward the center. I went back to the store to see about returning it but following the warranty rules of 1.5" sag was all they could offer. The sage wasn't that bad but I can't imagine sticking with a mattress until it gets to 1.5" sag without laying on it. I regret not spending a bit more money for a higher quality mattress.

Way Too Soft. No Support

I did a lot of research before buying this mattress, and am so very disappointed. It honestly feels like I'm sinking into it. So soft and no support. Wish quality innerspring mattresses were still around. Maybe at a local retailer? Anyway, I do not recommend this mattress for anyone. It can't be good for your body. Hope this helps!

Doesn't Last, Poor Performance for a Luxury Firm Mattress

Had to purchase a new mattress as my wife and I haven't been sleeping well on this Recharge Linden Forest. Discovered ours was only 6 years old (8 year warranty). Beautyrest doesn't honor the warranty.

Junked the extra foam and bought the perfect mattress for us

We sleep on a platform bed, so there is no box spring layer, just the mattress on a hard platform of solid wood. We are both over age 60 and we weigh 125/170 lbs respectively. Before buying the Beautyrest Phenom Crossover mattress we had a regular coil spring mattress with a purchased foam/gel layer on top of that. The extra layer lost support in about 2 years. So we decided to go all out and buy something much better. $1,100 later we were in sleep and comfort heaven on our Phenom. Five years later and it is still in excellent shape and perfectly comfortable for both of us. Very little motion sensed by my sleeping partner when I turn in the bed. This was the most we've ever spent on a mattress by far, but it turned out to be totally worth it. The built-in foam layer feels warmer for me than her, but it's fine with A/C in the bedroom.

Recharge? Not after 3 years

We love this mattress when we first got it and now after 5 years it’s so uncomfortable that we have to change it. Approached the underwriter for warranty coverage with pictures of the sag and they told us to take a hike (my words). Did I say that I’m 170 lbs and my wife weighs far less. Did I mention that we only sleep in it 8 months of the year and rotate it once a year. Draw your own conclusion.

Never again!

We spent a lot of money purchasing this bed from Macy’s. It has a good warranty, which we used after the first 2 years when it broke down. They replaced it with the same mattress with little problem. But after a few months, this one broke down even quicker. We’ve kept this one just over a year but finally decided to get rid of it completely because we were waking up with back, neck and hip pain. After sleeping in our guest room on a cheaper mattress and waking up with no pain, we knew we had to get rid of it. Won’t be buying a Beautyrest again. You shouldn’t pay thousands of dollars to have it break down that quickly.

"perfect for side sleepers"

or not. Mattress is super comfy when u sit on it & even when u lay down. Its ultra plush & feels great initially. I sleep mostly on my side, occasionally end up on my back. Upon waking every morning, instead of waking up rested & refreshed, it feels like I've been ran over by a truck most times. My back aches, hips hurt, sometimes have to scoot to the edge & let my legs fall over the edge just to be able to stand up. I think mattress is actually way too soft to offer any support

Mattress has lost support.

We are very disappointed with this mattress. After owning it only 4 years it has lost support and shows body impressions on both sides. We are already looking for a new bed.
