Doesnt feel right - sore back each day

After looking at many cheaper models due to budget - finally resolved to investing more and bought the plush on recommendation that I was best suited to a plush (from Sleepys sleep test) - had asked for firm and had great sleep on that type for years. Got it home and it just didn't feel the same as shop let alone something felt wrong. Like others I kept thinking am I sagging -is it my eyes etc. I turned mattress around toother end and although better still feels like I fall in a hole. I want to love it but after 4 weeks I still wake up achey. I also couldn't se how this would work in practicality if there were 2 people in bed at same time. We would be on top of each other. Kept salesman up to date days and weeks after purchase conscious of the trial deadline. Although a nice man got very little helpful/supportive support. Kept saying give it more time - the sag will reverse itself over time?.. Also spent more money on new pillows to try and see if that was affecting it. Helped but stil lower back aches. I want to believe it will get better but I believe something isn't right. Was told that to assess mattress for faulty takes two weeks but options weren't given til outside of trial etc etc. Going to revisit with sleepy as this was a lot of money for me and I can't imagine sleeping like this for next 5 years. Any advice welcome.

Hi Toni, I'm so sorry to hear that you're having issues with your new Radiant Plush. Certainly go back to Sleepy's and address your concerns with them -- this is not typical of our mattresses and Sleepy's is trained to handle warranty issues related to unnatural dips or sags. As your salesman told you, it does take time to "break a mattress in" and get it to the comfort level that you might have felt on showroom models at the store. It is also necessary to rotate your mattress every 2-4 weeks the first few months that you own it to insure even wear. The other issue that jumps out to me is that you have always slept on a firm mattress, and switching to a plush after years of the same can be very jarring for your body. Though we love Sleepy's, a diagnostic test can only tell you so much and should simply guide you in a direction, your body needs to affirm the test's output. Please let us know if there is anything we can do to help -- we understand that a mattress is a big investment and we'd hate to think that a Warranty issue kept you from the sleep that you deserve.

I've had the EXACT same problem with this exact mattress. I had it for four months (purchased July 2102) and saw a visible sag in the middle. I'm a single sleeper and weigh 130lbs. This should not happen. Had a mattress inspector come out twice, the first time is was an 1/8 shy of warranty replacement margin. Now it's 1 1/2 which is covered by warranty. Now I get to replace it but have to pay for delivery charges and extras. This sucks and I'm not happy about it at all.

Continued from above... And I'm sorry I've never heard of having to flip the mattress every 2 -4 weeks. That's outrageous. I had my previous mattress for nearly 20 years and it was a plush and never sagged at all. (Yes I did flip it but never that often). Also I called Carolina Mattress guild directly and weren't very helpful. Just told to contact Sleepy's.

My husband and I bought this mattress almost a year ago and are going to pick out its replacement tomorrow. I am 130lbs; he's 200lbs. His side has a dip, but mine has a HUGE crater where my hips are. Funny, the first inspection my mattress was 1/8" shy of defective status, too. I don't mean to dump on CMG, but my back and shoulders are a mess from sleeping on this mattress for a year. I've done yoga for five years and NEVER had pain or difficulty doing spinal twists until this past year.

to Anonymous 2/24 - I wonder if mattresses delivered in 7/12 were a "bad" batch. That's when we bought ours, too.

This mattress stinks, I have had it 6 mon. and I wake up with shoulder and neck pain. I went to sleepys and they told us to get an inspector come so we are waiting for call to set that up. When we looked under the box spring however , we saw how cheaply it was made. The wood is defective and bowed and it makes all kinds of squeeky noises every move you make and I am not an obese person. The box spring is literally card board and cheap wood.So just waiting to hear from some one for inspection on box spring, but would like to replace the whole st-up the mattress doesn't feel like it did in store either, when tested it! Just so disappointed for the money we paid definately feel ripped off!!!!

thanks for your comment i i changed to a firm about a month after i got the plush - so back in feb but the firm gets worse daily sleepys are finally sending someone to come and assess it i dont understand how the manufacturers can say its sleepys fault when its their bed and there seem to be many of us having the same problem there is something wrong with this bed i sleep in hotels very regularly for work and most of them are firm i dont ever wake up aching and feeling like i roll in the middle and i bet they are more worn than mine is in 6 months i am desperate for someone to take responsibility so i can sleep well literally and also stop worrying that i wasted my money
