I purchased this mattress less than 6 months ago and it feels like cardboard. Being newly married, first thing on the list was to purchase a new mattress, and we went to test out the models at Sleepy's. We ended up loving the Carolina Radiant Pillowtop, but were reluctant to spend the money on a brand that we had never heard of, but went ahead and got it. Sure enough, got the new bed delivered, and it felt like a totally different bed that what we had tried. 2 weeks in, and there were very noticeable dips where I lay and my husband lays, and I only weigh 100 lbs. I try to sleep in the middle of the bed to make it wear evenly, but literally roll down into my dip. Read online reviews and the manufacturer keeps speaking about the 'settling-in' period, so we tried to stick it out. Now approaching 6 months in we are sleeping in a hard 'W'. Making the bed makes me irate when I have to see the shape of the bed we just purchased- it is even noticeable through the down comforter, duvet and 2 blankets! If the bed needs to break in, why is the floor model in perfect condition? Very angry because we thought we purchased the mattress that suited us best. The garbage product that arrived was absolutely not what we paid for.

You need to contact the store you bought this mattress from and they need to give you a refund towards another mattress. Don't hold back, speak up to them if they give you a hassle.

Hi Elizabeth -- the person that posted on March 22nd is correct -- you need to contact Sleepy's and have them come look at your mattress to see if you could qualify for an exchange or a warranty claim. This is not normal and should not ever happen. You asked why showroom beds might feel different than a bed that arrives at your door -- the main reason is because people lay, jump, sit, roll, etc. on them on a daily basis. They are the best way for you to be able to test the mattress, but obviously not a fool-proof way to see what the mattress will be like when it's in your bedroom. We're so sorry to hear that you've had a bad experience with your Radiant, I hope that Sleepy's can make it right for you. And please also never be content with a mattress (whether it is our or someone else's) that does not feel right to you, or performs in a way that was not what you reasonably expected -- this is why stores offer comfort guarantees and manufacturers offer warranties.
