Bad bed or not right for me?

This was too firm for me when purchased but part of a compromise. The first year was not too bad. My 5'6" 140 lb partner loved it. At the time I was 5'3" and 180 lbs. After that first year I began to have very bad lower back pain if I was in the bed for more than 7 hours. By the end of the second year I was also having severe shoulder, arm, and hand pain. If I ever slept more than 8 hours my entire body would ache. I ended up spending most of my nights sleeping on my couch. I am looking for a new bed now and hope that I can find something that does not cause me as much pain.

Goodbye Back Pain

I have been in multiple car accidents and I have a condition called Ehlers-Danlos syndrome which keeps me in low to mid grade chronic pain in my pelvis and lower back. Sometimes my neck and upper back as well. I bought this mattress new at a liquidation store so I got it for half off right under $2000. I was 23 when I bought it and I think it was probably my first big purchase LOL. I had to do payments. I've had the bed for 3 1/2 years now and if my house catches on fire this bed is the first thing I'm rescuing. It is so comfortable and delightful to sleep on. I have a queen and it's very comfortable to share with a partner or sleep alone. My bed shows no signs of aging. No dips or bumps or anything. I would recommend this bed to anyone with pain or chronic pain. It's an expensive mattress but it's well worth the money. Thank you TEMPUR-Pedic

Way to soft...

We bought this mattress from Mattress and they really miss led us about this mattress. Our original mattress was a Tempur-Pedic Celebrity which is was very firm and we loved it. We bought this because the store manager told us it was the firmest Tempur-Pedic currently had (which we now know was false). We then went back last week and they no longer carry Tempur-Pedic so we went to Mattress Warehouse and they had a great selection. We purchased a new king size Tempur-Pedic Pro Adapt model 143573 and we love it. Very firm and even more comfortable than the Celebrity we used to have !!

Warranty

When I purchased this mattress it was under LIFE TIME warranty. I have tried to file a claim after less than 1 year of having the mattress and they kept making up excuses as to what I WAS DOING wrong. Here I am 5 plus yrs into it and I cannot get out of the bed because it feels as if I have sunken to the floor. I called again to have someone to come and look at the mattress to see what was going on and they said they do not do this anymore. Try these tests and take pictures and send them to us. So I did... They said it was NOT BAD ENOUGH TO REPLACE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I just recently called again and told them I had to go to BED BATH and Beyond to purchase a foam thinner mattress to place on top of my bed so I can get out of it. The warranty Dept told me this time they would have someone come over to take a look at it....no phone calls as of yet. So so very frustrated with this mattress I cannot see straight. I really hope they follow through this time. I will keep you posted. Sue whos back hurts all of the time. I weigh 115lbs.

This is a positive AND negative review!!

My husband and I purchased the Rhapsody Breeze and RhapsodyBed (2 twin xl's) with Ergo Premier bases on clearance at a major retailer (SUPER CLEAN floor models), about a week ago. I took the Rhap Breeze and my DH took the RhapBed. I'm only 94 lbs. and I felt like I was sleeping on a huge brick...LITERALLY!!! I was miserable for the 3 nights I used it. We then swapped beds. I LOVE the RhapBed...I sink into it more. DH enjoys the Rhap Breeze but also thought the RhapBed was just fine. He's about 160 lbs, if that has anything to do with it. It was relatively cold in our bedroom the first few nights that we had the beds, and then the weather changed to the 70's/80's. Could this could be why I began sinking more into the mattress? They are both supposed to be medium-firm, but the Breeze felt even firmer to me. We are definitely not sleeping hot- at least not yet. I slept with 2 blankets on the bed since we have it! So much for being too warm. So it's really not fair for me to say that the Rhap Breeze is a bad bed. My husband is very happy with it, but I wasn't. I just can't help but mention that our model/s in split king with Ergo Premier bases would have come to over ten thousand dollars with tax brand new. We walked out of the store spending two thousand six hundred, tax included!! I'm still shaking my head.

Defective foundation X3

Mattress is great, but Tempur-pedic requires use of their foundation to have a valid warranty for the mattress. We have received THREE sequential Tempur-pedic queen 5” foundation replacements in 2013, all with defective ribs or horizontal wood strips/slats. One or both dislodge from the foundation box, making the foundation unstable. If you hear a creaking noise in your Tempur-pedic foundation, check for a broken rib by running your hand along the side. If the rib or wood strip/slat has dropped below the level of the foundation frame, it is broken, and you should contact Tempur-pedic customer service for a warranty foundation replacement. We have solid steel slats bolted to the bed sides with center feet, as recommended by Tempur-pedic, so our bed support for the foundation and mattress is not an issue.

Returning a Bed for Credit

We order the Rapsady Breeze at the recommendation of the Temperpedic Sales Rep, he said it was the best for people with back issues and cooler than the other beds. It was hard as a rock, when I called tempurpedic they said to walk on it, knee it and then put an electric blanket on the mattress and heat it 1/2 hour before going to bed, I should not have to date my bed and get it ready for sleeping. Anyway, as my husband described it, it was like when he was a small boy and would lay on the hot sidewalk. It was so hard my husband had sholder issues and my hips would hurt. When I wanted to try a softer bed Tempurpedic said if I tried a different bed it would be a final sale, so I returned the Rapsady, it has now been two months and 6 phone calls and we still do not have our money back in our account!! Very difficult to deal with if you are returning a mattress, it took over a month for them to pick it up and then another 2 months and we still do not have our $4800 back. We ended up purchasing the Westen bed with memory foam and cooling get and it is like heaven.
