The mattress lasted 5 yrs. Time to buy another one and for the cost we paid for this mattress and its inability to last 12 yrs according to your recommendations, my husband and I are extremely disappointed. We will be looking for a better mattress soon. It is saggy and we feel like we’re sleeping in a hole. We are not overweight, so durability of this product is the problem.
Now in my 60's with neck, back and hip discomforts, I wanted to invest in a good mattress that would aid in a better night's sleep and last for years to come. I did some research and chose the Stearns & Foster Lux Estate Cassatt - medium feel pillowtop.
It was quite comfortable for the first four months, but I noticed it began to sag. I would wake up in a slight hole making it difficult to get out of bed. The muscles in my arms and hips ached. I also bought the adjustable base, so I would switch back and forth from a slight incline on my back to a flat position on my side. Even sleeping on my back inclined, I was waking in a hole. Soon after, I began dreading bedtime. I woke several times a night, and my entire body ached every morning. After 2 years, I began sleeping either on the couch or the traditional spring mattress bed in the guestroom.
Now 3.5 years later, I still haven't paid the mattress off, and I'm already looking for another mattress.

We purchased this mattress to replace our previous Stearns & Foster mattress which we owned for 15 years. Even after that period the old mattress was still comfortable to sleep on, but we replaced it as it became slightly soiled over the years and the new one was on sale. We expect to receive the same quality from this one that we got from the previous one.

My partner and I, 28 / 32 years of age, both under 200 lbs, bought a brand new Stearns and Foster mattress with box spring and frame, and it is giving us both serious back and hip pain. We struggle to get to sleep. We struggle to stay asleep. We wake up in pain. The mattress is less than 3 years old and we paid over $2000 for it. Both sides where we sleep are sagging at the hips/midsection and just like every other review of 2 sleepers there's a hill in between us... so after 2.5 years and $2000 we're stuck sleeping in what feels like separate hammocks. I have no idea how this company is still in business. It's incredibly frustrating having to go through the whole mattress cartel song and dance yet again hoping this time we don't get duped. Literally have to throw away a 2.5 year high end mattress we treated like GOLD because it's made with the cheapest materials known to man. Do not buy from this brand.

I loved this mattress and there was no issues with sagging. I discovered that the mattress top had pulled in my partners side and had started to pill slightly on my side. Also small holes had appeared in the tufted parts. I was so disappointed. Warranty claim worked out fine but I wasn’t able to try out my new mattress replacement since I purchased it from sears and they no longer have stores in my area. Replacement is a Sealy Lacey hybrid firm. Keeping my fingers crossed. Hustonville is now a discontinued mattress.

I've had this in my guest room for about 5 years and everytime a guest mentions what a wonderful wakeup they had, I keep planning to sleep in it myself but have not done so yet. Most recently my 80 year mom who has hip and back pain said it was the best sleep she has had in ages. Now the plan is for them to replace their bed!

We are at year 5 with the mattress. I think our combined weight (around 300lbs) and a dog isn't a good fit for this mattress. I definitely can feel the difference when my partner leaves the bed, it's like I suddenly have support.
We aren't experiencing pain for the most part. The biggest issue is it is starting have a center sag.

Bought this bed in a mattress store felt great for the 1st 9 weeks then even though I spin it every 4 weeks, it started to feel like I was crawling out of a hole! My hips hurt my lover back hurt ! I’m not the thinnest person but spending 3600 on a mattress and less than 3 yrs later I’m buying a new on and not a Cassie! I did stay with Sterns and Foster they are a great brand but extra firm Lux maybe that would be better! I purchased a warranty on the mattress it was useless no one did anything! I never bothered to contact Sterns and foster?

Stearns & Foster Hope Bay is superior to S&F Lakeridge!
Same price point (Costco) but the difference between these two models is substantial. Need to replace the Lakeridge after only 3 yrs due to constant back and hip pain. Costco warranty is terrific and will soften the blow. Wife prefers to nap in Hubby's Hope Bay.
