This mattress was very comfortable for the first few years, but after owning it for somewhere between 5-10 years, the edge suddenly collapses so badly that one needs to be VERY careful getting into bed. If you don't use extreme caution, you may easily slip out onto the floor. I'm very disappointed that the edges gave out. I've never had this experience with any other mattress I've owned. Also, I cannot seem to find these mattresses for sale anywhere at this time. When you google the name Red Bed, you get City Mattress and when I asked the salesman in that store, he seemed completely unfamiliar with the brand. Very odd. I would not recommend this mattress based on its short life and unacceptable overall performance.
I'm a side sleeper and had a very soft mattress for 16 years. I had a purchase a new mattress as it wasn't giving me any support. I was deciding between this mattress and another brand. Beware that what you feel in the store for softness is not what you will get when you get home. This was HARD. Couldn't sleep on it at all - it hurt every portion of my body from my neck to my side to my hips. I slept on a pull out foam couch until they could pick up the mattress. I wound up taking the mattress back and switching it for another one - which I'm not sure is much better. This is not the old days of soft medium and firm mattresses. At city mattress you have ONE CHANCE to swap out the mattress (For a cost) and then you are out of luck. So choose wisely.

No good you cannot sleep on a bed that has inner springs missing. My husband would have fallen out of bed if he moved tow ard the outside of the bed. Getting up at night would have been a disaster for him returning to bed. He would have slide out of bed and f allen on the f loor. My side of bed was fine. But how did this mattress leave the factory with springs missing on the entire left side?is this good product?
