Worst mattress I have ever owned

I purchased a Spring Air mattress about 5 years ago and it has been replaced 3 times already. It starts out feeling great but as time goes on, it starts to sag and you feel like you are sleeping in a hole. I am 5 feet tall and weigh 130 pounds. My husband is 6 feet tall and weighs 180 pounds. We are not obese people! We turn the mattress about once a month. I specifically chose the back support mattress because I have had 2 back surgeries. Now the third mattress is doing the same thing. Also, every time the store replaces the mattress for a new one, I don't get a new warranty. They say the warrant goes back to the first mattress I purchased from them. I will NEVER purchase anything from this store again and wish I had never made the first purchase from them. They won't refund my money so I am stuck with this ongoing problem. The best mattress I ever owned was a Serta and I wish I had it now. I am disgusted!

Pros:

Tommie - we would like to acknowledge your bed is going to be replaced, however we are going to give the retailer a credit to do it with a different brand. It would be great to hear if you are happier with this outcome! Let us know

Since the retailer is going to replace it, for the third time, I don't want to say bad things about them. I am replacing the third mattress with a different brand- Simmons Beauty Rest. This has been a long and frustrating ordeal. I spoke with someone at the Spring Air manufacturing plant about the mattress and he was just rude. I never want to see another Spring Air mattress- EVER. I don't understand what you mean by "give the retailer a credit to do it with a different brand". What kind of credit?

Tommie - the only reason the retailer is going to replace it, is because we are giving the retailer a credit on the product. We do not see any funds from your sale with the retailer that is between you and them. However we do see bulk shipment to this retailer where we gave them a credit on the bed, so you can have a new mattress. You are now getting a brand new bed, with a new brand because we have taken and stood behind our merchandise. If this does not fit your needs please let us know, we were understanding that we had helped your situation.

And you should give them a credit! I should think that the reason they are replacing the mattress is because it is under warranty. Isn't that what a warranty is for? As far as your not receiving any funds from the sale of the mattress, you receive funds when the retailer buys the mattress from you, so you are indirectly receiving funds from the sale of the mattress. If your mattresses held up, you wouldn't have to issue any credits. Every time my mattress has been replaced, someone came to my house and measured the indentions, photographed the supports under my bed and inspected the mattress for any stains. They made the determination that the mattress was defective. There was never a question as to whether or not the mattress was defective. I have had 4 Spring Air mattresses and none of them held up longer than 6 months. If I were the retailer, I would drop the Spring Air line of mattresses if I had to replace them constantly. I read many reviews today of Spring Air mattresses and I read over and over where people have had the same experience that I have had. Considering the fact that sagging is a common experience with Spring Air mattresses, it would seem to me that Spring Air would do something to improve their product. I realize that you are just doing your job, but everyone knows that there is a huge markup on mattresses so you probably aren't losing much money when you have to replace one. But, every time you have to replace one, your reputation is being damaged. It would be a lot more cost effective for you to improve what you sell.
