We bought this bed in October of 2007 paid over$2,000. We were sold on the "great warranty" what a joke. They sent their furniture specialist out and their finding was the bed was not defective. He measured the deflection by placing a string across from the center of the bed to the side which is a full 3/4" lower than the center at this point, this is simmons standard for normal wear per Younkers customer service. When we measure using a level from the center to side the deflection is a full 2 1/2". If you buy a simmons from younkers (Bonton Corp) do not expect they will honor the warranty. I will never buy furniture or anything else from either simmons or Younkers again.

We also bought this bed. We wanted a latex and this was the best we could afford. What a big mistake. We bought ours from Elder Beerman in Lima, OH. They, too, wanted us to call a specific number to have a specialist come out. We know what they will say. The clerk suggested that we wait another 5 years for the indention to increase. We never get a good night's sleep. We are always rolling into the center. DO NOT BUY!
bought two recharge mattresses for myself and my 10yr old daughter beg of jan 2014. was comfy..for three weeks, Huge noticable sag in the middle. called sleepy's. they sent out inspector. Bed was deemed "up to industry standards" only a little over 1" sag...in a couple weeks.i could either wait until it sagged more and have it re-inspected (and wake up every am with my back killing me) or they would be nice and offer me a comfort exchange for $129 dollars plus $99 delivery fee. they said i should take this offer and run because even if it meets warranty , i would still have to pay to have a new one delivered. Well, took the deal because i really wanted to sleep. I am waiting on my daughters however because i am sure in a few weeks, the mattress will not meet industry standards. Worst mattress ever!! I'm the one who read the reviews and said to myself, "you only read the bad reviews on the internet, never the good ones". so i took the chance...stupid me!
I bought mine about seven years ago..it has held up beautifully..stayed firm...so comfy...it was a good buy...I paid about $2000.. I have no doubt it will last 20 plus years
I bought 2 in June 2013 and having same problem with one. Depressions and all seams coming apart. Inspector said just cosmetic. Could not get it replaced until I contacted our local TV consumer advocate. They worked with Sleep Train and now I can get a replacement. It took a year, Sleep Train would not work with me, they wanted me to pay another $475 and then they would replace it. After this I will never do business with Sleep Train or Simmons. Bought my mattress in March of 2013. It is the worse mattress ever. It is sagging, has visible lumps. I got rid of a different mattress after approximately 18 years. I should have kept it. It definitely slept better than this mattress. Can anyone tell me who to contact about getting it inspected? Brenda on October 22, 2014
I've had our mattress 7 months. Bought at Denver Mattress in Billings, MT. Both sides where my wife and I sleep have compressed but the middle has not. We not only don't roll into each other but there is a noticiple hump in the middle of our queen size mattress. We also were told"Not enough deflection to qualify for a defect. We'd probably end up with another saggy mattress anyway. Jim
To the comment directly above this, from Jim. ^Ditto!^ I had this mattress approximately 1 month before I noticed there was an indent where I slept! First I had to deal with the company I bought it from. Needless to say after a few weeks if their nonsense I was told I had to submit a claim to Simmons. By this point the mattress looked like godzilla had stepped on it all around the edges but the middle had a hump that ran most of the way from top to bottom. I got the run around by Simmons only to have my claim denied stating it wasn't a warranty issue. 60 days I to it and this mattress looked like I had had it for YEARS! Anyway, I am now in the process of dealing with the company I purchased it from because if they don't give me the option of reselecting, my credit card company will deal with them. I have read MANY reviews on their mattresses and this is a COMMON COMPLAINT and it's completely unacceptable! Many people have questioned whether what they purchased was an authentic Simmons. Alas, I am afraid to say that they are most likely genuine Simmons mattresses. I know mine was because I had to deal with Simmons. In closing, with no sarcasm intended, it was certainly time for my old mattress to go but even if you gave me this one for free, I'd still rather have my old one back because it was more comfy after 10 years than this one was after 1 month. My old mattress was a Spring Air but I cannot recommend them because I have read several complaints about them since they split and are now independently run.
Pardon me, but WHICH Simmons is being discussed? They have three with the name Recharge in it - Recharge, Recharge World Class, and Recharge Hybrid. Some of these have additional names, too. Any help knowing what to avoid would be appreciated. Thanks!
To answer the question of the most recent commenter, the mattress being reviewed by the original poster was a Beautyrest Black Helena Pillowtop.
