I''m not sre if I'm still getting used to this mattress, my first night was good, and from then its slowly getting worse. I definately have THIS mattress, and it has the cooling gel, but after laying in it for a few hours I start to get really hot and find I'm tossing and turning to keep cool. my partner says that he is experiencing the same and we're really shocked after paying so much for a cooling mattress when we explained that we suffer from the heat. its definately hotter than out old spring mattress, and I keep wondeirng if we're doing something wrong, but we're just sleeping on the thing lol. I love the support and feel very well rested when I manage to sleep, and if I could stay in the same position I think I would get a wonderful nights sleep, but I just get too hot and have to move which is driving my partner mad. In the shop they explained that they've only had one complaint and that is of the mattress being too cold!!!! I wish that was my complaint. well, here goes night 4 and I'm dreading it. I spent all my savings and have been waiting for a new mattress for ages, I just feel a bit let down.

GENIUS IS THE FIRMEST OF ALL THE I COMFORT SERIES AND AMOUNG THE LEAST POPULAR MODEL
THE GOOD NEWS IS THAT SERTA HAS A 120 TRIAL PERIOD THROUGH ITS RETAILORS. IT COSTS YOU A DELIVERY FEE OF ABOUT $50 TO REPLACE IT WITH ANOTHER MATTRESS OF ANY KIND. THE SAVANT IS THE MOST POPULAR! THE INSIGHT IS THE ENTRY MODEL BUT THE GEL FOAM IS THE TOP LAYER AND COOLER.
This is an iComfort model, not an iSeries, which is the series with the new Duet coil spring for the bottom support. The Genius is definitely very firm, and it looks like it has only a thin gel foam layer for potential cooling. I'd probably recommend getting a mattress pad, maybe even one that has wool in it for more cooling. I was on a Queen model recently, and the list price was $1,599. I'm a bit disappointed with Serta using some average to below average materials in this new top line, especially given the prices.
