sharing sleep data is mandatory for max app usage

I bought an expensive sleep number bed. It comes with software that tells the person about how they are sleeping and some stats that are very helpful about sleep time, restful vs unrestful sleep, etc. HOWEVER They do NOT allow you to have that data unless you give it to them and they can use it in a variety of ways. None of them sound good to me, and there is absolutely no advantage to the bed owner to have them snooping into your sleep habits. Sound strange to me. It think it's not right that you cannot get the advantages of the sleep number software UNLESS you agree to let them have the data too. Otherwise you are cut out and the bed does not record any information. What a shame. I asked customer services and customer tech support separately for the ability to have my own data privately, and they refused. It seems wrong to me.
