Pain in the back....

Pain in the back… As a recently turned 50 year old and ex competitive athlete I have suffered through low back pain the past 8 years. I had a surgery to fuse my SI joint and try to stabilize my low back and bring some relief, it provided some benefit but I would still wake up every day with major back pain. I have slept on the highly marketed and somewhat popular dial-a-hardness air mattress for the past 6 year and I felt it was time to move on and find some relief. I spent a great deal of time researching the internet on best mattress especially for back pain suffers, etc. I read pretty much every review on Saatva; the reviews, the warranty, the value for a high-end luxury mattress, and the customer service all combined to make my decision an easy one to go with a Saatva mattress. I selected the “Flagship Luxury Firm” King based on the reviews from a few fellow back pain suffers, easily and quickly placed my order online and waited impatiently for my new mattress. So here’s the bad news-good news. The middle firmness level of the “Luxury Firm” was too soft for my back. I would still wake up in pain in the middle of the night and upon getting up in the morning it took a good while to get moving, I found my pain level was pretty high and I was not sleeping well. I was so reluctant to call the company and “complain”, it’s simply not my style, but I made the call. The customer service agent could not have been easier, more polite, and more accommodating...”not a problem Mr. Kelly we’ll take care of it and switch you to our firm King.” Within a minute or two I was off the phone and had an email confirmation of the new order. Within a few weeks they picked up the other mattress and set up my new King Firm Saatva. Wow, what a mattress. I wish I could say I wake up pain free but I don’t. I do sleep through the night and when I wake up it’s a moderate low-level pain…perhaps a 1-2 on scale of 10 where before a good morni ng was a 5 at best. My wife loves it as well and our level of true rest has increased tremendously
